They are different games. Gods is a true hack and slasher, and very fun after the initial period. This game is a mish mash of a lot of games. I personally prefer Gods much much better.
Well, maybe I was expecting too much from this game and RR3, so that's why I am a little disappointed, oh well.

Agree with this post so far. I am having good fun. The variety is decent, and you can easily earn money to upgrade. Optional sidemissions add a bit of charm and gold as well. Better than the Gearbox game at least.
Pocketgamer gave this 3/10 with the subtitle "In Space no one Can Hear You Yawn". I have to say that even tho it get better later on this doesn't hold up compared to Crazy Bill or Peumbear. Ill come back to it one day
Thanks, bud! Reading all of this to this point has convinced me not to bother with this one. Next........

Haven't got a reddit account, but are you planning on releasing a marine campaign? Just like the PC version And are there content updated in the future? And how about multiplayer is that in the works?
We're thinking about both adding a playable marine and about multiplayer. We'll most probably focus on multiplayer first, as it makes a lot more sense. For the marine campaign, the gameplay would need to be really different, to build up that survival horror feeling. As for content updates, we're working on a few new missions plus new playable Predator and Alien characters. Those should go live in a few weeks.
Great stuff and aye multiplayer first works fine with me Think of the PC version for the marine first mission will be darkness, finding the motion scanner hearing those bleep bleep steam bursts and loud clangs and roof falling down to set the mood Then second level start with the aliens
I will suggest you not only to read what other people ( me included of course ) write about game, then also see real gameplay video that is longer than 5 minutes.First impression and other people words are often deceiving. Also to be honest, I don't like that particular reviewer from pocketgamer, he gave some very good iOS games bad score and terrible reviews.
Does anyone have any video from farther in the game that we can see? Maybe from the 2 hour level or so... Thanks!
I agree that PG can be well off in there reviews sometimes. I think 3 is really harsh for this game. Its not terrible by any stretch. There is just some class on offer this week thats all
Yeah, I agree, a 3/10 is way too low, especially with the nice graphics, I think that is way too harsh.
I do think PG is really wrong here. To me it feels great controlling the aliens and predators for that matter. The amount of customizations is also awesome (but expensive) so IAP or go grind those sidemissions. Luckily I am having fun, so sidemissions it was for me. The camera I switched to manual and that works fine. I really like the atmosphere and variety. I am a couple of hours in, and now we have typical flaming spikes-puzzles that you can switch of by pushin buttons and sentry guns you avoid by using the ducts. To me it feels like the PG guy had a bad day, some of his points seems like he is really stretching to give the game a slapping. Anyways, I am enjoying the game still. Added some pics from iPad Mini.
So after reading comments and watching the video, I'm feeling disappointed by this game. Yes it looks beautiful, but the gameplay looks like it's just a brawler. My fond memories of playing the avp series back in the 90s are of the stealth, fear, unique movement (crawling on walls!), and fast paced action/assassination elements. This game seems to lack all of those. The variety of playing as the facehugger and mixing up the pred and alien missions is nice, but it still just seems like you're going from room to room beating up the other races while following a very thin plot line. Am I wrong?
Im with Leegames on this. The game is pretty decent... Not 3/10-horrible. It's not a very high quality game in terms of gameplay, but it does everything else great, in controls and graphics (although the camera can be tweaked a bit). One thing i wish they implemented are destructible environs and a more stealthy approach to the game, but that could very well be just a different game overall. Oh yeah, if they can implement a soft-lock-on (when you've started attacking an enemy), it would make the game a lot better. Coz right now, sometimes, the enemies are just right in front of you and you still hit nothing but air, coz you are facing a wrong angle.
