They are all stand alone fames, and we'll,worth the money. This latest one us the onky one with issues so the others all work well.
This is great. Just like the other games but feels like some solid tweaks to gameplay and graphics. Nice new touches on the spells/ ability trees. Really enjoying so far. Seems huge. Digging the story as well. If you like the others by spiderweb, I highly recommend this one.
I haven't put enough time into the series to be able to give you a perfect answer, sorry. I would imagine you don't need to play them sequentially but you might want to start with the first anyway.
So I decided to try this out after buying just to support this developer and instead of just poking around and putting in my back log I ended up playing until 4am... Needless to say I'm digging this one. Between this and Hero Fighter X this is a great sleeper week!
I am so happy about this! I just adore all Spiderware Software games. They have permanent homes on my devices. Seeing this one in my update queue made me do a happy little fist pump.
Has anyone played Avernum 6? How come its 6.99 and the others are 9.99? I never played the series, which one should i get?
Is this game fun for strategy fans? I haven't played any avernum games...shall I pick this up? Worth the price? Depth?
Avernum 6 is the last part of the Avernum saga (Avernum is a remake of Exile). Avernum: Escape From The Pit and Avernum 2: Crystal Souls are the remakes of the first two Avernum games. I would recommend Avernum: Escape From The Pit since that starts you right at the beginning and is part of the latest series. For a little more detail the chronology goes kinda like this: The 90's Spidweb Games (the originals) Exile: Escape From The Pit Exile II: Crystal Souls Exile III: Ruined World The Avernum Series: First Trilogy (remakes of the Exile games) Avernum 1 Avernum 2 Avernum 3 The Avernum Series: Second Trilogy (original sequels) Avernum 4 Avernum 5 Avernum 6 (only game of the original Avernum series on iPad) The Avernum Series Reborn (the Avernum remakes) Avernum: Escape From The Pit Avernum II: Crystal Souls Would also like to add that the remakes are not just added graphical polish. For the latest Avernum series the skills are redone and Spiderweb added more content. It's a little confusing but I hope this helps a little bit .
Yes to all of the above . The game has multiple difficulties and combat does require some forethought especially on higher difficulty levels. I would start out with Avernum: Escape From The Pit for the overall arc of the story but it's not required. The only caveat is that the games are text heavy, if your not into that you may not enjoy your experience playing the game. If you like a good amount of story / detail in your RPGs then you will probably enjoy the game quite a bit.
