Are you getting your 50 everyday? If not, you need to get more allies. Once I got enough allies starting having a constant stream of shield points available all the time. It's never a problem for me anymore.

As long as you have enough allies, that 50 becomes 62.
50 from gifts, 12 from thirty "Collect Rewards" from the Allies menu.
(After five days in a row of ALWAYS getting 11 "2-Energy", 2 "10-Energy," 7 "1 SP" and 1 "5 SP" with silvers scattered in between - and then NOTHING but silver until waiting 24 hours for good gifts to recharge - it's safe to say the rewards aren't random at all.)

You'll need a good number of allies for those extra dozen SP, though - the Collect Rewards don't seem to recharge every 24 hours. They're 48, or maybe even longer - I've only seen Tony Stark recharge three times since I started playing last week.

As long as you're concentrating just on the two heroes you actively want to use, that 62 should be enough to keep you going from day to day.

My problem is I went "weenie horde." Abusing Tapjoy for 100+ Gold over a couple days, I bought a full set of eight jets, all the 15 CP characters and a couple others to supplement the ranks. If you play to excess, the jets can keep you with a steady stream of characters that NEED to be levelled but can't.

Every day I can either level a few of my "jet runners," or level my two "main characters." It's probably unrealistic to be able to expect to do BOTH of those activities in the same day, but it would be nice. :)

Are you supposed to get a free hero after Chapter 1? I read somewhere you get a choice of five but I never got that option

None of those outfits are available for Thor yet except for the modern armor. Although, if they ever do become available, I've read that the Avenger suit for both Thor and Captain America are worth buying if you use them together.

I'm one chapter 3 now and I never got that option. I only got the three starting heroes. Everything else I have I've purchased myself.

The requirements in the Facebook version to get a free hero were to "Unlock PvP."

Since that can't be done yet by clearing Chapter 1, no free 15 CP hero choice is offered.

Just you. If you are going to the gold you have to do it 2x for the free icon. The website should just pull up the game.

That's new. They weren't available yesterday. I'm going to buy one for Thor and Cap. I just don't know which versions I want... Anyone have suggestions?

What does Avengers Thor do? I figured WW2 bruiser cap since he has a taunt like ability already.

You can see the abilities for any character costume (whether or not you own them) by going to "Team," clicking on the character and using the arrows in the bottom left to scroll to that costume. Then check the traits under "Stats."

(You can't see the COST for the costume unless you own the character, however.)

All Avengers costumes seem to have the same trait:

    AVENGERS ASSEMBLE
    * Grants Coordinated Attack to all allies
    * Grants Coordinated Defense with two Avengers present

You'd need 2 Avengers costumes then? I don't get what those abilities do.

    Well, let's do some Wiki-hunting. :)

    Coordinated Attack / Buff / 12 %
    • Attacks have a chance to cause allies to join in the attack

    Cooperative Defense / Buff / (?) %
    • Allies have a chance to retaliate when an ally is hit by single-target attacks
(Per the Wiki, this used to be called "Coordinated Defense" but the name was changed to Cooperative Defense later.)

So if you have an Avenger-wearing outfit, any attacks they do have a 1-in-8 chance to allow allies to join in. No idea if those are the allies IN the combat, or if it works like a random Crisis Call.

And if BOTH characters are Avenger-clad, Cooperative/Coordinated Defense is enabled, giving an undefined (perhaps 1-in-8 as well), chance to allies to counter-attack. Again, unclear if that's a Crisis Call ally or an in-party ally.

I'm sure people who are Facebook/Playdom veterans probably have more info on the topic than I.

    Sigh...

5 hero's waiting to train, not enough SHIELD points to train them.

Unless your Agent can somehow get an outfit that gives him/her Avenger status, that's what it sounds like. One avenger can have the "Coordinated Attack" perk by himself or herself, offering the possibility of an extra ally attack when that person is on the offensive. TWO Avengers allow the possibility for allies to attack after you're hit by an enemy attack. (And even that's vague. Does the agent have twice as good a chance for a counter when attacked because the Coordinated Defense ability would trigger on him/her TWICE?)

The Avengers outfits are/were Limited Edition items (I think) on Facebook/Playdom - here, they're supposedly permanently available.

Even so, I'm not sure if the effect is good enough to restrict TWO of your characters to have to wear it and HAVE to team up together. Other than Hawkeye (who's "Heroic Age" costume currently offers no perk) and MAYBE Thor, every other possible Avenger has an alternate costume with what sounds like more useful abilities.
