I wouldn't stop at 2. For the sake of your hero bonus in pvp I might spread my purchases out to having even amounts of each class though. That's just me though. Plus when you are doing PVE there will be deploy missions that require certain classes. It helps when you have more than one of each. Another benefit of having a lot of heroes is being able to have extras to send out on remote ops and still have enough to not slow you down while you're playing missions. Buying certain heroes is going to depend on how many Command Points you have and how much time you are willing to spend to farm the points needed. For the most part any of the 90 CP heroes are good and some of their suits make them even better (ie, WWII Tactician suit for Captain America and World War suit for Hulk). There are also good heroes for low CP as well. Torch is decent, Black Widow + Gray Suit, Colossus + Modern Armor Scrapper, Storm, Dr Strange. Personally for me I plan to buy all the heroes over time. The higher you level your heroes the more skills and iso slots you unlock, so yes you should level them to 12... eventually. You don't have to right away. I have 15 heroes unlocked and none of them are at 12. The highest I have have is a few level 10's waiting for training. It's really expensive when you get up past 10. That's why I haven't done it yet. You don't have to have level 12 heroes to dominate. Like I said I don't have any and I'm in the top 0.29% in the pvp tournament. I would also suggest looking into the "free gold" button on the gold purchase screen. Since gold converts to any currency that will get you started with some command points to get you a little further along.
Depends on if you care about PvP or not: If you do, I'd start farming Tapjoy pretty hard to get Captain America and his WWII Tactician Suit. After him, I think I would go for either Spider-Man (with Black Infiltrator suit) or Kitty Pryde (cheaper, with Shadowcat Inflitrator suit) or buy Black Widow's Grey Suit. But realize that those might not be the best characters in season 3, or even next week in season 2. Then, once you have your team for battling/defending, just get as many heroes as possible and level them up, but with the focus on your PvP characters. If you don't care about PvP, still farm Tapjoy for gold to get more characters, play one PvP match to get Silver League, then just play through missions. Work on leveling everything up. If you don't like playing as a certain character you get, send them on deploys to get their experience. When I played on Facebook, I really just liked collecting characters. I bought extra uniforms only if I thought they looked cooler than the original (none of the uniforms I bought are available yet... I can't wait for Phoenix Five uniforms! Not sure if I'll buy Future Foundation stuff again), and I always saved up CP for whatever character was coming next (I'm ready to see Emma Frost, Black Panther, and Deadpool).
If you're talking about PVP, getting as many heroes as possible will increase your bonus stats. If you want to be even, try to get one from each class at a time, or just go cheapest to get them all. The best heroes (and costumes) for PVP have been detailed myriad times in previous pages. Check out all posts by me to see some good combinations. World War Hulk, WWII Captain America, Storm, Johnny Storm, Spider-Man are good starters. If you're talking the regular mission, then the answer is, "hey man, whatever makes you happy." I play with my favorites and just have fun. I'm trying to level everyone to 9 and then working on getting my main PVP guys, Hulk and Cap, up to 12 for all that ISO. Also, farming the main game and getting five stars on everything gives huge amounts of gold, loot and command points. But there's no "competition" for the single player, so just do whatever makes you happy.
I just survived a ridiculous glitch in PvP! I was attacking a guy who only had 500ish points (so losing would have been horrible). He had Iron Man, Human Torch, and a generalist Agent, I had Cap, Spidey, and Infiltrator agent. After I knocked out his Iron Man, the screen froze for a few seconds. Then when everything moved again, all the characters on screen had full health. It was weird. So I took out the agent and Torch real quick, but it didn't say Victory. I looked up top, and Iron Man was still alive. He got the full health too (I assume; I couldn't see his health bar), but he wasn't on screen. I couldn't target him with anything but Cap's shield throw, because I didn't have any other Attack All options. Thank goodness for my Quantum Jumper. If I hadn't had that, Iron Man would have been able to cycle to his Deflector Shield fast enough to never take damage. On a side note, has anyone else been noticing that character sprites disappear a lot in normal missions lately? I can still see health bars and stuff, but the characters aren't there. Playing on an iPad mini.
Hey Andysmash just got beat by you! Lol got destroyed!! Lost 25 points. Your power of four kicked in at the end and I stood no chance. You took out my WWII Cap in one shot, I was like WHAT!?!? Haha nice job
Anyone get the Norn Stone? Is it good? I'm trying for it now in Chapter 5 Mission 3- Boss: Loki Epic Btw I'm level 97 and it took me forever to do this because I was using guys I need to level up. I ended up using allot of useless inventory to win.
Ok did some research Amazing Fate Grants a boost to all stats. This effect can be applied multiple times. I still just might get it to have it
Ok, it happened again. First turn of the game was a Storm. She used Tornado and took out my WWII Cap, WW Hulk and my scrapper in one hit. That's got to be a bug. There's no chance someone could be that strong.
Hacker. Definite. I just faced a guy who had hulk and wolverine with costumes at level 8. He must have spent a lot in IAPs.
For people having problems with WWII cap: Get a bleed weapon. After digital decoy, it becomes my no.1 priority. Cap is so active, he literally kills himself with bleeds. But he can hurt, so sometimes eat a turn and heal or restore stamina or redo buffs. Bleed > Cap.
I just had a guy beat my AI and drop me 23, went and tried to revenge and lost and got hit for -43!! They have GOT to fix this! Every time I get to at least diamond AI destroys me and then something random like this happens. These bugs r ruining it for me. I haven't really played much for the past 2 days, even to get silver coins. Sorry, when my AI lost the match it was only -11, so how do I get hit for -43 in return. That's even worse.....
I'm giving up on trying for the Super Blade Punch. I just finished 5 starring the mission with no luck. So annoying. And it took me so long to finish the mission that last time. I must have fought the Hydra Avengers for 45 rounds. Edit: And I apparently just lost 60 points in PvP. I'm at level 75 and I got beaten by an 82. That seems... like poor matchmaking. I think I'm done with competing in PvP this season. I'll take my daily bonus and be done. Of course, if I somehow wind up close to 1% near the end, that'll be a different story...
Happened to me too but instead of Iron man My Opponent got an invisible ghost Wolverine.. Unlike you, i lost the fight since i cant target the Invis Wolv
Rant time... I H-A-T-E this game. So, I finally lost a defense match. First one in 4 days. Not the end of the world but I lost enough points on it that it was time to start getting in some attacks again. So I put in about 6 attacks and am gaining 6-7 points on each one. With the matches I was getting I was back to where I was with in no time. Then... I get another match against Storm and Spidey. A decent team but nothing I haven't been able to handle. So I almost have both of them finished and then my game crashes... I check my report a couple minutes later and I lost 32 points. Pretty much everything I did the last hour or so just gone from a stupid game crash. Did I say I hate this game?
That stinks yup we all are ranting, I think they rushed this PVP they really needed to work the bugs out first.
So i wanna get some input from you guys. Atm I'm running scrapper agent, grey tac black widow, and ww2 scrap hulk. Got quantum, decoy, and curative. I got ww2 cap incoming in a day or two since im still leveling him up. Which combo should i use for def? I'm asking since a lot of you would probably have faced off against grey tac bw/ww2 tac cap/ww2 scrap hulk and would probably know how dumb/smart the ai are in combat. So yeah, which combo would be best for def with these heroes? As for Off which one would you guys think will have better synergy?
I would argue that while you have some good defense going on, your agent is using too many buffs and not enough hard-hitting weaponry. Based on previous experience facing Grey Widow, if I faced your team I would have no problem. You should work on having the uber powerful weapons for your agent. The Scrapper uniform needs good weapons to take advantage of the double-attack skill.
