I bought the avenger uniforms in my other acct... And they are crap. Cooperative Support rarely works and if it does it's usually because they guy is already dead. Be warned don't waste your coins unless you want all uniforms
So my new defense combo of Infiltraitor Power Armor on my agent, Tactician WWII Cap, and Infiltrator Black Suit Spider-Man did great for me last night. I gained about 100 points!
I've been thinking about using a Black Suit Spidey with my WWII cap. It'd be great for preventing people from getting hit, but I don't feel as if either of them has a strong enough attack to really make for the big plays. My Spidey is level 8 (for about 3 more hours) so maybe his final attack is better than it seems... Keep reporting back, ok? I'd love to see how this combo does in the longrun.
Played the longest match ever. Over 150 rounds. He had a modern colussus bruiser with a WW 2 Cap. He killed my cap, and I had just gotten my sabretooth's claw which does nothing to him. My ww2 hulk is a scrapper so that enrages him. He also had 5200 health on his colussus, at level 100, and a better armory and hero stats than me. So I had to keep digital decoy and construct matrix up as much as possible, while letting hulk hit him and enrage him and getting hit down to 50-100 life every other turn. I got a lot of points out of it, but my game literally crashed as the fight ended. Maybe that was his plan..........
I've got a guy who I can't load to revenge, Agent-Coulson. I get to the screen where it show his ranking (high 1500's), but then when I go past that, it just hangs on loading. No issues with anyone else, hung on him 4 times. Pretty easy to get into the top 50 if you get free points from people who try to get revenge on you! But yah, I'm thinking there must be some combination of characters/equipment that is causing this, so watch out for it.
I think the guys who are able to get revenge multiple times have multiple devices linked, and just queue up the initial challenge screen on all of them at the same time. Although 7 phones/ipads, holy crap. And I'm getting bitten *bad* by the 'win but lose points' bug. Also the math in general on revenges seems weird too - guy is just about my ranking, I beat him and gain 3, he beats me and I lose 20. I'm just gonna stay away from revenge for now I guess.
I only revenge when they are about 100 points above me. There is actually a chart somewhere that shows when you should revenge. ex: revenging on someone only 40 points above you, puts you closer to his points after beating him. Then if you play more games, you will easily be above him, once he revenge's on you, you have a good to great chance of losing more points than you gain.
Yeah, but you might get a lot of counter attacks if you fight a tactician, which is worth a lot. What I do know for sure is that I forgot to switch my Hulk back to Spider Man for defense, and I promptly lost 33 points. And as far as the revenging multiple times, a glitch allows that. I did that to someone else once (I revenged them twice in a row, and it would have let me do it a third time, but I already felt bad when I realized I did it twice).
I understand all that. This happened in about 15 minutes, so he didn't lose that many points that fast. And the agent-coulson guy who I can't get a match to load for (he's all the way up to number 9 now, so it isnt just me), he's ranked so high that i should only lose 2 against him... one of the times I had to kill the game it gave me a -20 from him instead. This season feels even more buggy than last, which is quite an accomplishment.
I hate to keep complaining about this but lost 118 points after winning a match! That is unacceptable I'm sorry that is just too much.
Nice. I have the same setup for defense except I'm using regular Spidey (I've been too cheap to buy the suit). I have yet to lose a defense match in the last 3 days. I think I've had about 15 defends so far. I haven't had any massive gains like you but I also haven't lost any which is awesome. My rating's sitting at 1386 right now and I think my last 50 points or so have been from those matches.
Well, I'm at 1100ish right now, so that's probably why you haven't see massive gains. I haven't been playing nearly as hard as you. And when I switched back to Spidey on D after losing the 33 points with Hulk, I quickly gained them back. It's probably also helping that I've leveled my agent up quite a bit the last few days so revenge attacks haven't been quite as easy on my opponents.
Yeah. That's true. I did play pretty hard the first couple days. I'm coasting now though with this setup. Lately I've been trying to minimize my attacks as much as possible to try and avoid the point loss glitch. One of those could hit me pretty hard. I tried the Spidey/Cap setup last season for defense and it wasn't that great then. I'm glad I gave it another try.
What I meant was should I try to get 2 of every class? Should I focus in getting certain heroes? Should I level all my heroes up to 12?
Level them up. Buy more heroes. Level them up. Have fun. Repeat. Go back through and read the posts in this thread. There's quite a bit of info in here to get you started.
