Spending gold on things you get for free by being patient is... I'll never understand it. There's another 60-ish free lockboxes before PVP ends. 110 lockboxes is $25. Oy.
I think you mean "spending gold you bought with real money" compared to spending the gold we get from tapjoy. I was super lucky last lockbox and only got 2 dups. If i had 3 cover now i would maybe spend my last 89gold to get sabertooth. Also leveling up one hero is not that hard if you only focus training on him.
Well I had 2 covers and so got him. Levelling up is easy if you get a team that gets plenty of free turns and counters and have a good area attacker like Havok and X-23. Just repeat rinse and you've got level up in no time. I try and find a battle with about 140xp and keep repeating it until I get the XP. Levelled up a lot of heroes that way quickly. No gold whatsoever. My wonder man will be level 11 in 23 hours while I get Sabretooth to XP for lvl 10. Then he'll be next for lvl 10 tomorrow. I tend to race to get heroes to level 9 to get all their skills in case I want to use them for PVP then I take my time to 12 as it takes much longer to get the XP and upgrade.
I faced an Agent Venom, and the opponent had a PVP bonus of basically zero. So, probably a hacker who had action taken against their account to remove the armory bonuses. That's good. Playdom also responded to my help ticket regarding Feral Lockbox quests by telling me to ask for help from other players on playdom.com... so not good. I think they misunderstood my question. But they're alive!
I couldn't tell. The stats on the other team were so bad that they were hitting me for like 100 damage. I one-shotted everyone. That's why I assume it was a hacker - take away the 100,000 armory and your 10 unlocked heroes can't do anything at level 300. (I am also now on my 5th round of messages with Playdom trying to get a straight answer about the Feral Creed quests. I got 40 gold compensated last time and I won't stop until I do it again!)
In the Facebook version there were quests that let you earn 40 Lockboxes. Just like the Elektra boxes. But for some reason they didn't activate any quests for us. That's weird. So I'm asking them to try to get a straight answer. It might be a bug. The Elektra boxes were bugged so many people never got the quests. I didn't get them and was given 40 gold to compensate for it. I'm trying to determine if this is a bug or if we really aren't getting the boxes.
Fantomex is killing it in PVP right now... considering using him with Angel to give maximum "don't hit me!" power. And MAN is his Fantome move great to use against Juggernaut. Yes, please, take out your teammate in one hit. Thanks!
So are you using him right now? Only reason i wouldnt using him is because i see allot of inf out there. I left jug in with ms marvel to see what happens because i wake up -100 to -200 every morning. So far won 1 out of 4 on def.
Yeah, using him. Only been attacked once (lost) since switching to him though. But on offense, I'm not getting hit at all. So that's good. What's Ms. Marvel doing for you that's making her so effective? I haven't spent much time with her so I'm not sure what she's useful for... (original costume, right?)
Alt costume. She has melee unarmed attack. Also kree speed which i use when down to maybe one person left. 4th move goves her healing and extra damage on attacks. She just not to acc on photon. Something different to use

As someone with the entire Long Live the Queen set (all won without gold spent) I cannot endorse them. Skip it. (Knight is a good protector tho) No debating Bishop (a child killing monster) or Spiral for my next purchase. I've got 132 CP. Anyone with feelings on the use of either in PVP? I've seen Spiral kick my ass. Never seen Bishop once.
