I might agree except that Rocket Pistol is the best weapon in the game. Period. Tactician agent putting 3 stacks of bleed and a burn on dudes thanks to extra turns and Cable's Temporal Shift is what murder is made out of. Nothing kills a Phoenix better than that. Also, Coulson's Revenge not only hits for roughly half (usually 60%) of a heroes bar, but the buff is magnificent and procs often. There have been some bad limited items, like the Chess Set, which proved incapable during this PVP, yes. But there are a lot of gems out there. (and yes, of the items you can purchase any time via gold, Quantum Jumper is the best)
Ima big fan of the rocket pistol...I own it. But I an disappointed that they put the pawn back out but not knight. In fact, pawn has cost me every defensive battle thx to the fact that rocket p and pawn were the only weapons with anything going into Xmas. It just sucks that SP + HS + SA is STILL viable. That's when I get mad at investing $20 towards a freemium game I supported. And that's not ridiculous to think....they're looking for $5 from every user, and most don't even throw 99 cents their way
Andysmash I've been rolling with regular Spiderman, Scarlet Witch and Inf. Agent. The constant coordinated attacks, evasions and backfires give me a decent survival chance against hotshot and pretty much anything else. My agent has QJ, Scroll, Coulson's and Sabertooth Claws. I want to change out claws (Proc is way too low it seems) and/or scroll but not sure to what. Rocket Pistol is a mixed bag since the priority is taking the agent down ASAP but not always possible. Surprised Rocket Pistol didn't get talked up as much as Coulson's since it seems to be a major hassle to get by without a healer. I'm really tired of Phoenix at this point. She is in just about every attack for me. Valkyrie has also been an interesting play. Only problem is that she is kind of flimsy at times.
I ran that on defense overnight and lost huge. Is it winning defense for you? What is your current PVP number?
And all I said was just completely validated....cuz Knight just went up and I not only had a joyful moment of glee but a total moment of validation for the whole Xmas season ....oh yeah, I finally got my setup
And all the sacrifice has now been worth it. Fellas, everyone has that moment. Finally had mine. Now.....somehow find a way to grind a mission for CP
Just doing 5-10 a day and was at around 1302. I was using Cap, SW and Inf. Agent mostly. The defenses have been terrible. Regardless of the team I run it seems to be 1 out of every 5-10. Occasionally I get a +14 or +20 something. I leave it for several hours and the same team gets a -47. The defenses are just too random for me to try and figure out, especially with no true way to avoid stuns + bad turn order. Also, if a person quits before the match ends or it crashes, I'm not even sure those count against the attacker anymore. So people may be quitting which would skew possible defense wins. I got a call during a match and it restarted the app. Didn't lose the points.
...and then I go on to lose 7 attacks in a row. *sigh* Nature of the frustrating beast. Phoenix, Cable w/scroll, hotshot and Coulson's. New most hated combo. I really have to stop playing this game just before bed.
Hehe will try that when I am too stressed about the game. Only 6 days to go for pvp and no new character yet released. Hopefully they don't do it with a couple of days to go.
I feel pretty deep in my gut that we'll get a new character this week. Maybe even Deadpool. Won't disturb anything if that's the case though...
I replaced Phoenix with Quicksilver (specifically to defeat the glut of Phoenix's out there) and ended up +4 after 6 defenses last night. That's the first time in maybe two weeks I've been positive. He does great with the Cable / Quick Jumper setup as well in terms of massive amount of turns, and always going first means that often (since my attack is so high) I can kill a Phoenix on his first two turns.
There has been more Quicksilver's i have seen lately. Prob because all more inf Phoenix's. I have my agent and wcp inf just because i see about 75% tac power armor. I havent lost to them yet but it does take a bad toll on my team. If you have a MG i wld add that to you off. QS + MG + attack inf = 2 round kill whole team.
Always happens, as soon as 1 class gets stacked, the next class up come out in pvp. Blasters ruled last season, and with the Tact suit, we saw a huge influx of tact characters and agents at the beginning of the season. Then people switched to inf, and now we are slowly seeing more Scrapper (Ghost Rider/Quicksilver.)
Yeah, I've been thinking of going back to my Quicksilver / Psylocke team with Scrapper Power agent and Momentum Generator (replacing Scroll). Emphasize super fast kills and hopefully never give them a chance to get DOTs on me that would need to be Scrolled.
I think this might be the true way to go as my hate for scroll, hotshot and Phoenix is beginning to border on unhealthy. Lol After losing 7 straight attacks in an attempt to just get my daily 5, I really began to wonder if the effort was worth it. Got the stupid pyro gun on the spin...so no, it's not.
Oh no no, it is VERY important to understand that all of these efforts are NOT worth it. We gain nothing but a slight sense of pride in meaningless and fleeting digital bleeps and bloops that are quickly overshadowed by the next PVP season which will probably start a week after this one ends, starting over the vile cycle again. None of this is worth it. Not one bit. (I just went -75 on defense in less than an hour)
I take it you are mad??? Lol Btw just got desimated by x-23. She took out my whole team. Kinda wish i tried for her.
Twice this season I've been defeated by X-23 in an amazing way. She did her group attack thing and we all got Trigger Scent. Then she went insane (still don't get how it works) and attacked each of my guys, taking out 100% of their health - even Phoenix didn't revive. A single turn, every hero. Amazing.
