Knight gives you Protection, so having Pawn helps that by giving you a shield and defenses, right? So Knight and Pawn together are great. Rook without Pawn is not as good because you'll only get one shot off, right? The Pawn gives you ammo, allowing the Rook to fire more times. And the Bishop rounds out both of those by giving an automatic counter (goes with the Knight's protection) and ammo / stamina (helps with firing Rook). So there's three sides - powering up the Rook's attacking or protecting with Knight, or both together. Ultimate synergy is all four pieces, but you can still do well with just Rook / Pawn or Knight / Pawn / Bishop.
Pretty much this. The pawn and knight would be a good combo, and you will probably need scroll to cleanse bleeds or mental anguish off.
If the next season of PVP is once again nothing but Scroll, Hotshot, Signpost I'm going to be very sad. Really hope people start playing some new weapons.
Does anyone know the number of points your PVP stats go up when a specific class is leveled? I know the number doesn't change until you hit level 10. But does level 11 add more points than 10 did? I'm trying to figure out if it's better to get one of my blaster to level 12 then level the next one to 12 and so on or... Would it be more cost efficient to level all my blasters to level 10, then working on all to 11 and so on. Any suggestions?
Darn I'm not getting it then. I can see using Knight even for solo but the bennies from Pawn in combo with Rook would seem to make getting it else wise somewhat un-useful. I've already got the mace to do that with other cool buffs...this would kinda mess that up
I got Knight. Radiation Exposure is pretty great. It applies at the end of a round, NOT at the beginning or end of a turn. So if I've given Radiation to two opponents (it has a 100% chance of giving Radiation and does so on counters as well), as soon as the round switches over they both get that hit. I like it. That'll be helpful for getting past Resurrection powers, depending on the timing.
Oh, yeah, I don't have a problem with THAT one. Just Hotshot and Signpost. Using Hotshot is like throwing a can of garbage into a crowded room. Lowest common denominator gameplay.
Is 8.5 still viable for most of you to grind for CP? Played it about 12 times after PVP and keep getting junk in every run except 1 where I got 1 CP. Wasn't faring much better during PVP. Maybe I'm just on an unlucky streak. :-/
U know, after I posted I started thinking abt how useful that could b, along with having protect and counter in one weapon. It could b a viable standalone I think. Plus with refordging now...
I think it's considered the best tanking weapon for the agent until spec ops 13. Or whatever one where they add a character made for AA. Thane.
I suggest you go 2 heroes at a time to 12 instead of a lot of heroes evenly. The general rule of thumb is 12>new hero>11>10 iirc. As in for example if you have a hero that is ready to train to 12 its better than buying a new hero or training to 11 or train to 10 etc.
I think having a protect weapon is quite useful because there aren't many weapons that can do that in the game and it'll give me more options in case I need to change my team line up. And its obviously way better than hoarfrost because it can counter and give a DoT on top of it versus hoarfrost's sacrificial str (and 1hp survival glitch effect).
I've done a few practice PVP matches with the Chess Set items I have right now - everything but Bishop. Protecting, plus Bruiser Power armor and the Pawn's Defensive ability are amazing. Every attack I get hit with ups my defense and the Knight countering is in the 33%-range. The Knight is wonderful. If it is still available for purchase I can't recommend it enough if you want a tanking / buffing agent. The Rook - ooooh, the Rook. One shot takes almost half my stamina, but it uses all the ammo available (3 rounds). I took out a Captain America in one hit (all 3 rounds shot) with it. Love.
I agree the chest set is awesome so far....can't wait to get bishop. I'm suck on the pvp part of quest. I am not paying 50gold to pass it....lol.
