Take note. To get all four items in the set, it looks like it'll 64 gold for Pawn and 64 gold for Knight (no clue when they will release that for sale). The Rook will be a reward during the spec ops for completion, but The Bishop is an epic Spec Ops drop, so you can count on a respin. So that's 128 gold minimum to get the set, IF you're lucky / have the ISO to get the Bishop. But YEAH, these weapons look great and I wish I had the money to spend :-D
Word to the wise, to get a quick run through of mission 1 SO for Tasks 1-6 and not have to restart in order to finish tasks, beat the elite guard mini boss to get 4/5 hellfire elite kills, and then play ***but DO NOT win*** the avalanche boss and LOSE. I stupidly had my chain tonfa on my agent and he countered with bleed enough to take down avalanche for the win....whereas if u take the 2 elite guards down, you'll complete that task. Then u lose, go back in and fight avalanche again (with Emma) and complete task 4...then beat Blob (which will pop up) and on to task 6, which is the 1st research. I screwed up, so now I have to start mission 1 over again. EDIT: Once u start research for the EMP grenade, keep in mind the nxt 2 tasks r get 2 stars of mastery on mission 1 and then collect 10 uISO. I'm holding off on exiting mission 1 and will hold off on collecting rewards tomorrow until research is done. Theoretically u can kill 2 birds w/1 stone here..
Just reading online, looks like a lot of FB and Playdom players went with the p5 tac suit, so in regards to that methodology it would b advantageous to have the inf suit for the counter attack.
Did respins not lucky like last spec ops landed on three emp blasters which are useless, one hologram, one ISO fragment, and then finally 100 uiso...blah wasted too much gold
Btw, the timers for the 3 researches on the spec ops are 8 hours, 30 hours, 48 hours. So plan accordingly. I was not ready for that huge jump from 8 to 30.
Where can I find a list of the tasks? I found the tips for completing them on the wiki but not the tasks themselves.
This one is shorter and easier then the valk one. But from what I read, the valk one is considered the longest.
Every mission has been pretty easy so far. It'll probably just be replaying boss fights for weapons that make this "difficult."
Read this: avengersalliance.wikia.com/wiki/The_Chess_Set The Pawn is part of that set. Have them all, and you protect, pop a sheild, counter and do what is probably decent damage. Don't have them all and all those effects will be slightly lessened. To have the whole set you need The Pawn (64 gold) and the Knight, which is unreleased but in Facebook was a 64 gold-level weapon. So take that into consideration. If you want something that pops a cheap shield, the Pawn is nice, but it won't do anything else for you without those extra bits.
:-\ Has anyone seen good gear from this Spec Ops yet? I'm not sure I'm impressed. Probably going to hold out for the special weapons that are sure to be released when the next PVP starts, like the Stark Weapons last time.
Well its not to bad. Like it the enemy hita you with a group attack then everyone will hit back. So it hits almost 1k. Just depending in next pvp would decide to use it.
Well I finally had to give in and buy Phoenix and now I'm leveling her (and I really wanted Black Panther too!!). I'm holding off on her WC uniform becuz I'm curious if inf will continue to b more viable than tac...any thoughts/advice? Traditionally seen a lot of infs and with the power tac armor from this last PvP, I'd think inf will continue to be the best choice...? Finger.....pointing at inf.....can't resist.....
