This worked for me for a good long while. Bruiser Power agent. (Hotshot, Signpost, Grief, Soulfinder) Infiltrator White Crown Phoenix. Ghost Rider. (I'm level 155, 35,000 attack and 28,000 armory with all heroes except PVP rewards unlocked at at least at level 9. I've spent $5 on this game the week it came out) I just switched out Ghost Rider for Hercules after loses took me back to Vibranium - who knows! Herc was great for me at the beginning, so maybe switching things up at the end will throw attackers off. But man, I went from about 6% to 2.35% in 24 hours of defenses (with no attacks), and that was great.
woop, managed to lose my way down to Gold after being in Vibranium this morning. Kinda stumped how so many maxed out teams were suddenly in my rating level and how that never slowed down.
ahh goddamnit, ended up at 2035, .58%. I think if I could have gotten *one* defense stop in the last hour, I would have been ada. Not being able to win at defense at these levels is getting pretty old!
Well I hung on. 2126 .34 and I basically played the last hour and a half straight. I am really hoping that since these new items being added are severely defensive, that will change the pvp.
Being right above 150 helped out big time this season I'm sure, as almost all the matchups occurred with lower ranked opponents. Also 2.35% is a big difference from .5%? I think you're getting vibranium level mixed up with adamantium... I was hanging out at 1% no problem with very few attacks, it was getting above that level that is an issue.
Good job man, and I hope everyone got what they were shooting for (sorry to those who didn't). I got crappy gold this round. Gonna grind for 20 more an get that new weapon to use with the Roar. Someone had that combo along with WC Phoenix and it was brutal. I just couldn't take them down fast enough and the AI used scroll to negate any momentum I had. I think I found a setup....now to TJ my way to that weapon. Good luck to all for SO!
Well that was a waste ended up at 0.88% oh well guess I will never get Ada again, it seems like once you get behind there's no catching up. Congrats to everyone who made Ada or the league they wanted to make! On to spec ops!!!
shoutout to flojackson for the post about high levels using regular spiderman - he was blocking hotshot and grief a lot. If I had him at level 12, I think he would have been doing better than the 5% defense wins captain america was getting. and to icemilktea for noticing how the weapons were matching the levels of the last guy you fought. Although that didn't help at the end when I had to go on offense 100% of the time!
Ahhhh... Finished at 0.55% 2050 rating. Played and stopped at 0.42%, then went to bed. Woke up, lost 80+ points with 2 hours left in the clock. Tried climbing the slippery slope and ended up at 0.55%.... Man I wish they didn't change the cut off time, previously ended at 2am my local time which I can manage. But now it ends 6.30am! I mean... I got work and stuff to do
Ouch, that sucks. Not gonna lie, the cutoff time is perfect for me. 5:30 pm. So I got home from work and played, now I can help make some dinner.
I can only win every other season, as I have only won season's two and four. But 3 was more my fault than my luck. But I will win season 5. I want x-23. I want her bad. Probably shouldn't say stuff like that.
lolz BTW, currently i'm at lv 133. Should i hit 150 before the next PvP season or should i just stay here? I do notice that most ppl in ada atm are all 150+, and the matchmaking system kinda favors ppl with higher lv. But then again at higher lv peoples hero bonuses are gonna be much much better too. Thoughts?
I hope they change it like facebook where you just need to reach a certain rating, look how it's increasing each season 2100 is a lot!
I would push to 150-160 this offseason, I am doing the same. I lost a lot of games to 150-155. I bet you will hit ada next season with that additional armory boost.
One Man Army is great. It looks like the splash damage will go through protection because it isn't part of the actual attack, yeah? Anyone tested that? I can see good reasons to put Fist of colossus back on.
This can only happen after they change the way matchmaking is done. So people will get matched up against others that has similar ratings/level/maybe bonuses to some extent. Unlike the current matchmaking rule of prioritizing attacks on people lower level than you with a rating range of 300ish.
Yeah I was just using OMA as well and used it with sudden support and it was pretty powerful. Interested to see how useful it might be later on.
Just a small thing I'd like to share, On the last day of PvP i switched teams to infil agent, psylocke, infil wc Phoenix seeing the rise of tactician caps. Using HS+SP, scroll, and QJ Not seeing any diff in def fights, but my offense win rate is almost 100% loosing only to triple HS stuns and AAABBB team orders where i go last. I focused fire either the opponents phoenix or the opponents agent depending on which one is more of a threat. Now the thing that i wanna share is this little thing about tact caps AI. Apparently against an all infil team the tact cap prefers to do a shield guard on the 1st turn (since attacking would trigger the infils bonus, but wasting his 3 turn passive). But on the 2nd turn what does he do? his shield guard is on cooldown... guess what? he did a shield throw instead lol and activates all 3 of my teams infil bonus! this happens 4 out of 5 times unless there's a stunned member on my team in which case he will attack that person instead so as to not get hit by the counter. And he'll go back to doing shield guard afterwards. And after one of my team member dies this rule doesn't apply anymore and he behaves a bit more normally, doing normal attacks instead of shield guard. Just something i noticed during the last day non stop grind
Last 20 seconds was at 3.07..squeezed in one last fight and barely made it.. Congrats to those who got what they aimed for good luck on spec ops all..cool weapons coming
