I feel like quitting. It's too much work. I think I might try putting the ios 7 beta on my phone tonight. I'm not sure if this will run on 7 though. I've heard some apps don't run well.
It doesn't work at all on iOS 7 Beta. It goes halfway through the loading screen, then says it "can't sync with the helicarrier." I tried rebooting, deleting and reinstalling, and all the other normal tricks. Nada. I also have an iPad mini, so I've been playing on that instead of my iPhone 5. And don't quit the game! Just quit PvP. I never got past diamond league on Facebook for the same reasons you describe. I'd just wait until the last couple of days to cement my spot and get whatever weapon was offered. Sure, you miss out on the uniform (personally, I prefer being a Generalist anyway), but you can buy the hero with CP after a month (hopefully it works the same). Punisher was 135 CP on Facebook.
Well that's good to know. I don't have a spare device to play on. Maybe I'll hold off on it then. We'll see if I keep playing... They need to add new chapters. The only thing that kept me coming back to the game was the pvp, but it's too frustrating. I just don't understand why the AI is so terrible. I lost another 50 points last night and I hardly even played yesterday. I'll drop down to diamond before I know it.
Did what I do. Win five for a prize and leave it at that. Idc if I'm in silver league... diamond league ... Or rotten beer cracker fart league. I just play to play and understand I'm going to lose.
I see a lot of people going as generalist in PVP. I guess that makes sense... I use Scrapper and that works pretty well in my opinion. Is the logic in being generalist just so you have nothing negative? Seems like a waste.
Yeah, that's my logic with it. It takes out a variable. Plus, then I just have to focus on one type of clothing upgrades. Has anyone else been getting bad PvP matches today? I've played about 13 rounds today trying to get my 5 wins in, but 9 of those have been against players 5 levels ahead of me. The other 4 were same level. (To be clear, I mean level and not PvP rank). Back in the Facebook days, I don't remember ever getting matched more than 2 levels higher than my own.
I'm still doing Worldbreaker Hulk and WWII Cap (and I'm a level 70 Scrapper) and I win nearly every defense. Put it this way - I've got 64 victories in attack (I've only lost to the AI once) and I've got 135 total wins. So my AI defense is doing better than me. Rank 1214, top 2%. I'm really not trying that hard. Mostly just doing it for the daily reward. None of this is really to brag, but these stats show that this team does great on defense.
What level are your Cap and Hulk? And what kind of ISO-8 are you using? I may be interested in copying you.
Scrapper would be the best to have. The bruiser only gets stronger if it hits you. I on the other hand have the infiltrator which I think is the worst. One scrapper and I'm dead. I'm going to change suits after I get all the characters.
4 of my 5 battles have been to people with 500 or so rating and I'm around 1300. I have gotten 0 points off them. Not. Even. One.
Bruiser Worldbreaker Hulk. WWII Tactician Cap. Level 70 Scrapper agent. My agent's gems are all Health and Attack with some Stamina that's holdover until I get better. Oh, and for equipment, I've got rare weapons that give status effects in three slots (no buff devices) and the Cryo-Tonfa. Weak, but the chance of counter attack on hit means there's a chance at getting a hit AND a freeze if attacked. Cap's been given the best gems and is focused on Evasion and Defense. My thought is, if he's going to use Protect to take all the attacks for the first few rounds, he needs to be able to dodge them and defend if he's actually hit. It is more important for him to act as a sponge and counter attacks then to actually damage, but his attacks are great, especially if, when attacking a Blaster, he can get two rounds of his Leading Strike, which weakens, or Shield Bash, which dizzies. Hulk's gems focus on Defense, Health, Accuracy and Stamina. The more he gets hit the better, so no evasion, but keep him bulky. Stamina for the bit hits. Accuracy to make sure he hits his most important attack - Titanic Hurl. Since that attack will almost always stun at least one opponent you're always at an advantage. The focus of my team is simple. Let Cap take hits and stay alive, debuff the enemy, stun them, give them burn or bleed, use group attacks. Each team member has a very good opening attack (Hulk stun, Agent burn all with Phospherous Pang, Cap Leading Strike and Shield Bash) and Hulk, after one or two rounds, devastates with his massive attacks. I just logged into PVP for the first time in 6 hours and had gained 22 points by winning defenses. Soooooooo. I doubt I'll give enough time to make it to the 0.5%, unless I suddenly lose my job, wife and child, but this is doing me great. EDIT: Oh, and with the Scrapper double hit bonus and the Tactician double attack bonus, there's a VERY good chance I'll have at least one of my characters always able to hit twice when I get to attack.
I noticed the same if you monitor your battle report closely you'll find that if you go on a winning streak then imaginary lost matches will appear to deduct points. I have 4 fake losses that have deducted 13, 21, 7 and 6 points. Of course no reply to my ticket with playdom

Those aren't fake fights. Those are the defenses. That's when other players attack you and the AI plays for you.
Hmm, I'm in the same time zone as you. Maybe it was a lucky server error for me. I have played as Nightcrawler now, so he definitely works. EDIT: Not cool! I don't have him anymore, or the Command Points I spent. Stupid me; never buy things right when they come out. It was probably just a server fluke. Grrr. EDIT 2: Well, he doesn't show up on my team screen, but he was the last character I played as, so he's still in my center position.
This is getting stupid, all of my fights lately have been against people with close to or over 1k less score than me!? How am I supposed to have a chance to get good gear if I cant fight anyone worth crap in points?
