What team were you using? and items? and what level are you? the 115-150 level has been dominating the top 50 lately, and I have gotten hammered by a couple of the top guys.
I have this as well. Seems like sometime randomly in the day it'll let me claim gifts. One day I claimed 50 gifts twice within an hour, another time I got three gifts every 4-5 hours, and yesterday I wasn't able to claim any gifts at all. Weird! Also bug - I can't get into the Spec Ops at all. It shows me the Ghost Rider unlocked splash screen (I got him last week), then I lose connection to helicarrier and it crashes. This is unfortunate as I have 230 ISO from daily reward and I'd like to take another shot at Sinister Scepter.
3rdAgent Play ID. Level 163. Using GSBW tac(11,training atm) and WC Pheonix blaster(max level). Hotshot, Signpost, Grief, Scroll. This should be a pretty solid setup. Was doing pretty good on defense yesterday.
Made gold league. Pushing for vibranium once I get my iPad . I'm hoping that not having signpost won't give me too much of a disadvantage .
I dont trust thAt button because i have to delete allot of gifts to just get shield coins. After that i accepted all and then went to the next page to accept more and it said its my limit. After that i just do it the old fashion way.... One by one. Which was not bad. Doesn't take that long.
Hey, I think I figured it out! Looks like (for me at least) the "Messages" gifts, the Allies Gifts and my Daily Reward are all timed together now. The SECOND my Daily Reward hit the Allies Gifts refreshed and were available and I was able to get all of my "messages" gifts. Weird!
There's still some time left (10 days). You'll get signpost at task 20. You'll also get Soulfinder along the way, which I've found useful in PvP for its counter attack, which crits enemies who you've already inflicted with sin (which is automatically applied to enemies who attack ur agent, so bonus there too). Besides research, it was pretty straightforward and didn't take more than 6 days to get thru everything (but I did admittedly burn gold to complete tasks 24 & 25 cuz I really wanted GR). EDIT: here's the link I used: http://avengersalliance.wikia.com/wiki/Special_Operations_-_All_Hallows/Tasks
FYI always use the avengersalliance.wikia.com guides for spec ops.It basically tells you how to get through each spec op using the minimal amount of iso.
So is Grief this season's Deep Field Cannon/Phoenix Flare? That thing seems to really pack a punch. Defense suggestions?
Grief's added power comes from Paragon Exploiter. Scroll of Angolob can nullify that advantage if the timing is right. Dizzying the agent helps as well. I'm using Herc's GoB to absorb hotshot and grief and WC Phoenix for support. 50/50 on defense so far. 100% on attack.
Defense suggestions i got none, since i'm still struggling on Def wins myself. But if you're going against it on Off, there are a few things you can do. If they use it on you early the damage is still reasonable, i think at the most it can take out half of one of my heroes health. But i think this is probably because of armor/heroes bonus difference. Now the HUGE dmg boost happens when they use it on you with you having lots of debuffs on your team. The debuffs that boosts Griefs dmg are : Combo Setup, Dizzy, Exposed, Slowed, Stunned or Weakened. So what can we do? The easiest way is SoA at the right time i guess. And focus down the agent. Remember if hes got grief, that means hes got 3 debuffs on him at all times. So you only need to take him down to maybe 5-10% health and he'll die on his turn.
Thanks! Good to know. I'll monitor how often I'm running into it to warrant a team adjustment. The first encounter definitely left me concerned for my chances this season. Got lucky with a Phoenix rebirth...barely.
I've tried that team a few times with good results. Maybe I'll go back to it to counter this Grief nonsense. With so many heroes it's tempting to try different ones even though there only seem to be a handful that are actually viable for most situations. Especially for the dreaded overnight AFK.
Yeah, Herc will get torn up next season by Blaster armor and One Man Army, but he's doing a good job right now. Stupid question: what's AFK?
AFK = Away From Keyboard. But in this context it means when we leave our game for bed or whenever were not actually playing it.
Tried equipping two hotshots over night....lost 84 points. In theory it should have been good I was destroying everyone I was attacking but defense I guess it's horrible. Still trying to find that right combination.
Just have to share this hilarious PVP victory I just got. Facing an agent, Captain American and Human Torch. I only got one move - Gift of Battle on my Hercules. Then his agent attacked with Hotshot and Herc absorbed it, throwing back his counter and taking out maybe 90% of his health. Then his Cap attacked - Herc absorbed it also and returned with another hit that took out about 90% of the health. Two AMAZING impossible crits in a row. Then his Human Torch used Nova and KILLED his agent and Cap with the damage. My agent counterattacked with Soulfinder, my Phoenix Infiltrator counter attack with Psi-Blast and took down the Torch. I didn't use a single attack and between my counters and his suicide blast, I got the win.
