Someone mentioned a bug with team up characters. I don't know if anyone else is getting this, but whenever I team up with someone who isn't in my roster, they never get bonus turns. I noticed this with She Hulk (boost of speed doesn't give as many turns as when I recruited her later), Spider-Man (spider sense ends your turn) and Luke Cage (scrapper bonus attacks vs Vapor don't trigger).

It makes some of the boss fights a bit more annoying than they need to be. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm having fun with the Human Torch at the moment. He's got nice synergy with my flamethrower as well as some passive healing and/or reflective damage . . . Still, with all the love for Dr Strange, I might pick him up as well and end up with 3 blasters :p

Anyways, my playid is mukh if anyone wants another ally :)

Can you explain that some more? I don't know what you mean.

I don't think that will work. I put on the slider option and it only came out when you selected your guy

Colossus doesn't bleed, and his Level 2 power is a shield buff that has him take all individual attacks upon himself for reduced damage. Use this, then beat on Sabretooth with your other two.

I found a very effective team that I thought I'd share. WWII Tactician Cap and World War Bruiser Hulk. Every time I've brought them into a fight they've totally obliterated everyone. I even took them in to a couple fights that were at a class disadvantage and still no problem. Also, my agent has a shield generator that helps a bit. On top of that I keep all of the the ISO-8 slots full which make a pretty big difference.

Yesterday my hulk hit for 1050 HP and he was only level 4. Plus I was only 26. I thought that was pretty good. It was awesome to say the least.

... well, yes. 277 Command Points worth of Heroes and Costumes is most likely going to make an effective team. :)

Especially in the first few chapters when you don't need to worry about anything that's specialized to be anti-Melee and/or anti-Ranged.

Not gonna pile on too hard, but I tend to agree with L here. It's far more challenging to progress and level up without spending $$$ for a hundred gold for premiums. And unlike lots of freemium I've played, this is doable.

Any tips for Vapor? I'm only level 15 but can't seem to do much damage to her. Only got Cap, Colossus and Dr Strange

I haven't spent a dime on this game. I've just been taking advantage of Tapjoy. I've managed to get quite a bit of gold. Also, you can farm Elektra to get a decent chance at 10CP each time.

Also, to the guy that was trying to beat Sabretooth. I beat him using Hulk and the penetrating strike buff. I took both of them out with one hit. I got lucky on my boss roll too. I picked up sabretooth's claw on the first try... Now my agent finally has a weapon that can do some real damage. Fun stuff.

Sif is pretty good, she's immune to poison and she's a scrapper, which infiltrators are weak against. I'd also try getting a scrapper uniform.

Elektra is better than magneto (4.4)? Need 70 energy to clear magneto. My luck's been really bad on magneto, averaging maybe 5 cp every 6+ clears.

I'm not sure actually. I don't have Storm yet. I was going to get her next. I believe the energy amount is the same. I decided to farm this one first for a couple reasons.

    1. Black Cat was almost half the price of Storm
    2. Chapter two is faster to farm since its a lower level. I can pretty much one shot everything.
    3. I did some reading online and someone mentioned that it was a good mission to grind for CP.

There are two 10CP spots on the roulette. The chances aren't bad.

People farm Magneto for a variety of reasons:

Mission 4.4 can be completed in the least amount of energy (70). And since you'll get two roulette spins, only 1.1 Viper gave more frequent CP spin opportunities. (But since Magneto has a "farming reputation," it's possible they decided to play with HIS Random Number Generator as well, and Elektra might have better odds of actually LANDING on Command Points.)

Magneto also drops the Magnetic Field Generator - you can put a shield around all three heroes once every four turns (which increases by level, I think it's good for about 20% of their total Health) and more importantly, each time an enemy breaks through the shield, that hero gets an immediate free turn. Since you won't "outgrow" it by leveling up, it's useful in most situations.

Fixer/Vapor, as well as Magneto's Positive/Negative Shield Shenanigans, can make for long fights if you don't have team members designed around targeting their weaknesses, however.

My luck's been worse than that in the whole game. I've only won 5-10 cp TOTAL at the end of boss fights. And I'm level 23 already! I've had to five star levels to get any kind of cp.

Is there a way to earn gold other than spending actual money or doing the so-called "earn free gold" thingy?

You get one gold for each level up and can win gold on daily spins and (I think) some boss victories.

So for players of the Facebook version, is there any indication or hint as to who the next line of heroes they release will be? I've been playing through each page to 5-star every mission and grab CP / Gold / Weapons and I'm saving up my resources to buy the good new guys. I'm tempted, because I'm an insane person, to try to get every character.

Not sure who's the best, got to be some mix of costumes where you basically get free attacks constantly, but for pvp also take in to account unlocking heroes gives a bonus to your team's overall stats for each matchup, based on the total levels of all unlocked heroes. If you had just one bruiser at level 8, and your opponent has six or seven of them unlocked at level 6 and another at level 8, you could be at a huge disadvantage because their stat bonuses will greatly outdo yours and they'll be doing like double damage and receiving half when they get hit.

For non-pvp, the premium missions that you get a free hero with (the heroes that cost 90 cp unlock) and special missions for getting limited-time heroes like Emma Frost which only run for a few weeks and then are gone are the hardest because they scale to your level, so if you're really high level without high level gear that can make things difficult. You also usually need to get 4 or 5 star mastery on those special missions to win the hero, and the battles will take two resources to fight in, energy and iso8, so you'll need to stockpile the iso8 and energy to run through them like 10 times in the limited time you have to finish them. Some of the fights take double too, so instead of 10 per fight, 20. You can gift the iso8 energy, so you'll need a lot of active friends to get the mission done in time for the free hero too.

I haven't really played the game, but here's a list of the regular characters in the order they were released.
    http://avengersalliance.wikia.com/wiki/Team#Recruitable_Heroes

There are also limited edition characters.

And there are some characters that need to be unlocked with collections.

This is the complete list of all the characters.
