I love the Tiny Wings esque movement and the obstacles are a lot of fun. I'm not a huge fan of the background music though... not that it's bad... just a little too much. It's pretty similar to Burrito Bison, which is not a bad thing. Cool graphics and great mechanics. Try the yo-yo, which acts like a hookshot. Reminds me of the old hook champ days. One bad thing is that it crashes when I try to watch videos to open my extra gifts. That's a bummer. Hopefully it gets fixed. Only thing I would ask to change would be getting away from the black balloons . No matter what they are attracted to you and almost impossible to maneuver around . LaserRob Well-Known Member Sep 26, 2015 103 6 18 #6 LaserRob, Apr 6, 2018 Hey guys, thanks for the feedback <3. Working on a patch at the mo to fix a few issues. Thanks Rob, Wicked8146 Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Nov 17, 2009 777 50 28 Dinosaur hunter Los Angeles #7 Wicked8146, Apr 6, 2018 Great to hear! The black balloons do seem to be quite a nuisance so maybe tune them down a bit, or maybe they were designed that way on purpose? I love all the upgrades. My fidget spinner has 15 levels but the new gadgets I unlock have less so theres no motivation to use the new ones. Maybe cap the early ones so that the ones you unlock later are powerful? That may exist already and I just have not encountered it yet. For now I am sticking with my level 15 fidget spinner. LaserRob Well-Known Member Sep 26, 2015 103 6 18 #8 LaserRob, Apr 6, 2018 Wow, that's super fast upgrading! How did you manage that And yeah, we need to tweak the difficulty! cmdrmonty Member Aug 28, 2015 18 0 1 #9 cmdrmonty, Apr 7, 2018 When you unlock the fidget spinner (at least mine was) it was already level 15. Perhaps this is an unintended bug? LaserRob Well-Known Member Sep 26, 2015 103 6 18 #10 LaserRob, Apr 7, 2018 Yeah, this is a bug :/ Sorry. Bloody Fidget Spinners... idislikejordan Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2018 78 24 8 #11 idislikejordan, Apr 7, 2018 Honestly, this game is such a nicely designed little gem that's out now. Had so much fun playing it and you can see the similarities between Altos Odyssey and Ava Airborne, but both are different games in many ways. Grats dev, Ava Airborne is rad. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #12 ramzarules, Apr 7, 2018 Somehow i had misread the description and thought this had only 15 levels to fly in and only today did i discover how wrong i was. Personally i am putting it right next to Alto's Adventure. Where Alto is beautiful, serene but repetitive after a while, Ava is happy, upbeat and with a ton of unlockables and vehicles that all behave differently. The only thing i would really love is if they let us unlock all the vehicles from each rank, and not only one from each. That way, if you choose something you don't like, you don't regret it as much. (I unlocked the jukebox on rank 2 and it was essentially a truck on a jetpack and i had to restart the whole game lol) Wicked8146 Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Nov 17, 2009 777 50 28 Dinosaur hunter Los Angeles #13 Wicked8146, Apr 7, 2018 I just got 5,664 candies in one run. Not sure that is right. There was some glitch where if I popped a big balloon up near the lightning, I would get 100 candies. I ended with 512 candies. Then I had a bat buddy, plus the level 15 fidget spinner and the coin doubler and watch a video = 5,664. Quoad Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2015 1,108 217 63 #14 Quoad, Apr 8, 2018 They reappear. Idk. Not sold on this. Every game, I appear to hit a dead spot after 1,000m (up to and over 5k) where the rewards effectively disappear and the whole game is about avoiding black balloons and lasers. Ive just cleared 5k, for sth like 22 sweets. I dont do freemium mechanics, so I dont particularly want to watch videos. I considered the coin doubler, but with the joy failure described above, I cant rwally see myself playing this much longer. Im currently L9, but riding an L3 hanglider. My forays into jet packs &c have, so far, rendered the game unplayable / uncontrollable. YeAh. I can see a core here. But the implementation doesnt work for me. DeuxApex Member Jul 2, 2015 9 0 0 Musician (guitarist) Madtown #15 DeuxApex, Apr 8, 2018 iCloud issues Ive been playing this on my iPhone X. I was around level 11 I believe. This morning I installed it on my iPad 2017. Both running iOS 11.3. I was pleased to see it transferred all my progress. I made one flight and the game locked up (playing on my iPad) on the progress bar. I then went back to my iPhone and all progress was lost. I also purchased something from the shop. I cant remember what it was. It was $2.99. It was in the specials. (Not the chair) I think it was a doubler. It is now gone or unavailable. It wont restore. I erased all iCloud data. And started over. The game seems to work fine, if you stick to one device. Hopefully these problems are fixed. Fun game. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #16 ramzarules, Apr 8, 2018 After playing nonstop since yesterday, i agree. The difficulty needs serious tweaking, those obstacles that home on you and the speed with which you are going make it frustrating once you get ocer the beginning part. Also they take away your sweets with each impact and often with the bouncing, you can get bounced multiple times on obstacles without control, getting your sweets next to zero. Also, the battery. On my 6s+ it was having framerate drops, i restarted the phone and now the battery consumption and heating is much worse. Hopefully they will fix this game, i want to like it but the better i do, the more frustrating it gets and the less rewards i have at the end. Jayg2015 Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2015 3,734 41 48 Male Player 1 Liberty city #17 Jayg2015, Apr 9, 2018 Ava Airborne continues to be my go to game since its releases and even when I beta tested the game I didnt have as much fun as I am now. Still the only thing that I can see that needs fixed still would be the balloons and some of the lasers continue to chase after you no matter the speed you gain or slow to. I think this should be dropped all together because maneuvering should be part of the fun not annoying. Anyways that is the only bad thing to me. I just need the developer to know this game is a 5 Star game. Just need a small tweak. This game should be takes highly about and played by everyone. Graphic style is very nice, however I find the gameplay lacking comparing to Alto's Odyssey (which I've spent more than 30+ hours). The main thing is the roughness of the gameplay, specifically the stuff designed to kill you and the cannons etc. The black balloons seems to be designed to screw you, moving to block you or sometimes a whole column of them that you cant go past. Same with lightning rods. The cannons are often under airships, so you can go into an infinite bounce loop, or sometimes the cannon will launch you straight into a lightning rod. It just feels unfair to the point of F2P games where the game really wants to squash your progress and push you to IAP. Now the IAP aspects of the game is off the chain. I think you can enjoy the full game without spending a dime, but the IAP ranges from a few dollars to a $90 bundle(?!). I'm not sure who would want to spend $90 on a game that's basically an endless flyer/runner. This isnt a japanese gacha game. How about a top $20 pack that gives permanent double candies and leave it at that? Sure it doesn't hurt the game in any way if you ignore the IAPs, but it really leaves a bit of salt in my mouth. Their are no explanations for them nor do they have a description. HelperMonkey Well-Known Member Dec 16, 2009 632 8 18 Iowa #20 HelperMonkey, Apr 9, 2018 This is really nice. Very enjoyable. But it seems like it gets too crowded to be fun as you fly farther. Things literally get out of control. Difficulty should increase, but not in a way that success or failure feels like just procedurally generated luck. The increased difficulty and risk as you go greater distances is not balanced with greater reward, either. Obstacles increase while positive targets (hoops and balloons) decrease. If your goal is to collect candies, you will often be better off crashing into the ground within the first 1000 meters or so. After that, collisions and obstacles end up reducing your candies. I can get a record distance with next to no candies as reward. Otherwise this is great. Definitely a one-more-go kind of game. Cute style. I really love that the different flight contraptions have different mechanics. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
