We tried saving group selection way back in AD1, but we just couldn't make a interface that worked well. I remember the last we tried was to save the previous selected group in an icon so that you can: 1: Select group A 2: Select group B (an icon on the side appears for group A) 3: Tap the group A icon to switch selected groups (the icon now becomes one for group B) 4: Repeat if you wish. 5: If you select a new group, the group icon on the side is replaced with the previously selected group. The above sounded like a good idea, until it came to actual playtesting... and we had to remove it despite having it 100% working... This is 100% fixed in the update. I don't know if this is going to be understandable, but here goes: What's happening now is that when you drag your unit onto an enemy (no matter the path you draw), the system takes over and sets your unit to auto-attack that target. It basically generates the shortest path possible to the unit, usually a straight line. Now with the update, the unit will follow the path you drawn, and it will only stop if there are enemies DIRECTLY in its path blocking it, where it would then kill the enemy and continue its path after. If you targetted an enemy unit when you drew the path, the unit will automatically chase that enemy unit (if it shifted position), only after moves to the final point you drawn.
Thank you Kirua for clearing that up. Maybe you should post a comment under the Gamezebo review to let their readers know, too. Looking forward to spend some time with the game soon.
just got to play it for a few minutes now, but so far it's great! I've wanted a good, polished detailed strategy game like this for a long time! already I can tell there's a lot of cool stuff you can do, like how you have several steps and choices to make before actually getting to the province you attacked. Awesome!
I have a question though... at some point I got a message that a spy was found in one of my provinces. The message asks me how I want to deal with him but I see no available options. Am I missing anything? I tried taping my province to manage it, I tapped the exclamation point next to it which brings up the questions but I still see no options. Anyone know how to fix this?
Just finished conquering all the kingdoms. Awesome awesome game. About the bugs, If you're still playing Infinity blade you can certainly handle these. Here's a helpful tip to conquering the world: You can easily take over a province by simply wearing out the enemy. for example, the enemy has 13 spearmen and you have 9 archers. He fields 7 spearmen and you could either take 8 men to fight (and probably lose) or just send out one army of archers and surrender. In the next round, 7 of his men will be unavailable leaving him with only 6 men. If you do that a few more times you'll wear him out leaving the town defenseless. Remember, this must all happen in one turn and you must have enough intel to be able to pull this off. At first I thought this was a flaw in the gameplay but then it makes sense: just like creating a diversion before the main attack. I'm off to conquer the world again. this time, with elephants
great job figuring that out!! after completing the game, any improvements or new stuffs that you as a player would like to see in the upcoming patch?
For events like these, if you can get an officer there in time, there will be new unique mission available for your officer to do. Also, there's usually more than one result for every mission depending on factors like officer stats and sorts. Whoa thats fast! Also, if you got your intel by doing Military Espionage, you should have unlocked Create Diversion which is a very convinent way to wear out more enemy troops.
How are the stats for unlocking the warlords calculated. I unlocked everyone except the warlord that requires 50 espionage missions. It seems like I have performed at least that many.
Kirua, is there any firm date for when the update is supposed to hit? Im not really sure i understand apple's policies on the matter, nor am i sure if you guys are finished with it yet. Would like to hold out for it before playing the game again.
Yeah I know about that. However, you'll have to spend three or four turns conducting espionage missions for that to happen. Then again, it doesn't seem to have any effect (that and poison army). All that happens is the enemy takes a little damage. And they're still as dangerous. I think the developers should take a look at that
1. I think elephants should have more defense than spears since they attack slow.(and lack of libraries means lack of acumen) 2. poison army and create diversion don't work very well. the army is just a little weak. Not worth the effort. 3. Help menu would be nice. There are awesome new units but we don't know their strengths or weaknesses 4. Custom armies would also be nice. Maybe a mode where you get to choose both elephant and mounted archers. 5. Multiplayer. That will work very well. You could start with bluetooth 6. Sappers are OP once you have enough libraries 7. Bao Lun's lack of libraries is a real downer because his acumen only goes as high as 50. when you have elephants and mercenaries, you're going to need a lot more acumen. Not fair This is what I have so far. It's an awesome awesome game. Congratulations guys
WOOHOO!!! Thank you so so so much for the incredibly quick update! I did put this one aside last night after reading the thread, so that I could play the game as you intended to release it. But I really did not expect the update to hit that quick. =oD Now back to it!
Omg the new AI algorithms rock! On hard, the battles are actually tense and engaging. Putting Toshi and Goro near each other was a great idea gameplay wise: cav archers harass the hell out of the Hwachas, which feel much more balanced now. I still think their damages is a little high, but that's my impression. Focus still decimates infantry units. Maybe a 10% - 13% dmg nerf is still in order? Or even less health? They're glass cannons now, and can go down pretty quickly if you don't protect them...
Yup, I just checked myself and the AI is finally working as intended. Focus is very powerful, but it's area of effect is very small, just slightly larger than the size of one unit. Also it takes longer to cast than spread, so it's very easy for the target to move out of the way. Spread has a much larger AoE, takes a shorter time to cast, but deals lesser damage. With the newly reduced range, it's possible for Horsemen, Mounted Cavalry, and Mercenaries with rush to move out of the effect range AFTER you see the Hwacha targetting you. If the AI predicted the direction of your escape, thats a different matter of course. Lets play a while more before deciding if we need to nerf Hwacha's damage. I'm thinking lowering their HP may be the better option.
