Hey everyone, lead artist here. If you're interested, check out my latest article on our company's struggles with branding. Lots of new art and neat CHARTS! http://www.dinofarmgames.com/indie-artist-struggles-with-branding-so-you-dont-have-to/
Good news, TA! Auro has been GREENLIT! We're working on a ton of awesome features for the PC version, including Quest Mode and a new Free Play mode, and a bunch of other stuff. Stay tuned!
While the expansion into a much bigger FTL like RPG sounded fun, just more creatures and spells in the existing form would be really appreciated.
Great news, congrats on that. I'll buy this on every platform I have. That being said, any word on the update to the jumping-onto-someone-on-a-teleporter-teleports-you thing? I remember you said you'd bake this into an earlier update... Congrats again, anyway.
Have supported you guys as much as possible over the years and will continue to do so into the Future! Keep making great games!
Yep! This one will be fixed in the next patch - it's already fixed locally. The next patch is a doozy, can't wait to show everyone.
I'd say pretty high chance of it getting submitted this week. Then however long it takes Apple to approve (usually about another week).
It might have the "edge tiles"; not sure. Either way, the need for those has been dramatically reduced because we're reducing the range of Snowball and Blast. More notes on upcoming changes HERE: http://www.dinofarmgames.com/forum/index.php?threads/auro-2-0-play-mode-changes.1683/
Hey guys, just wanted to give you all an update on what's been going on with Auro and what's planned. We have a MASSIVE 2.0 patch coming down the pipe, but we're gonna take a little extra time with it and really get it awesome before we send it out. It's really like a revamp on almost every axis. I can't wait to share a ton about it with you guys. If you missed it, I did write this article about the T3 monsters and the changes we're making to those: http://www.dinofarmgames.com/hard-monsters-in-auro-2-0/ Anyway, we're doing that and the PC version, so stay tuned for more news. <3
Oh, that's SUCH GREAT NEWS!!! Thank you for the link as well... it all sounds so friggin cool. I can't wait to get into it. As for now... I'll keep trying to see those 'top tier' enemies before the update. =oP Yah... I suck, in general, at roguelikes... but this has really turned into one of my favorites.
We're working hard on 2.0 every day. You really won't believe the crazy amount of improvements. Here's a few things as a little preview: - New Lord Vargas ability - New Curse Kid functionality - Three spells re-worked - New loading screen when you start a match - New "Help" feature in game - Two types of input - New level generation / balance - A lot more Very excited to get 2.0 out. Right now we're in the "balancing" phase. If you can't wait, come by the Dinofarm forums and I can hook you up with a beta.
What do you mean, how does it look? I hope people think it looks great. As far as we know there shouldn't be any display issues on iPad.
I think he's asking because the game has always looked like a low-Rez 320x400 asset game blown up to try to fit on a hi-res iPad screen. Hence the fuzzy antialiased "upconverted " look. Like an old iPhone game blown up using the 2x feature. Which is a shame as it's one of the better games on App Store. Yet the only one I've ever seen that has this GFX issue. I guess it's possible that if the art and animations were done originally in such a low res environment it simply can't be fixed for the larger iPad screen without redoing them in the proper resolution. It's passable on the phone as the smaller screen hides the fuzzy artifacts, etc... But this has been pointed out since the initial release so I don't know if you guys can't fix it or don't understand what we're talking about. But it's a great game. People wouldn't bug you about the iPad if they didn't care. So look at it as a compliment. Just wish it was fixable.
Yea I was in your guys betas before dunno if you remember me or not! But betas still on PC or have it for testflight as well ?
