Good news: Auro version 1.29 has just been submitted to the app store! Current "average review times" is 7 days, so we expect it to be out by the 18th or so.
I went back and completed all the tutorial levels because I had read they have changed in the new version. First few were a bit tedious, but then I really enjoyed the later ones.
The Version 1.29 patch notes are up! http://www.dinofarmgames.com/version-1-29-patch-notes/ I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has about this patch. There's a lot of huge changes here.
Hey Toucharcade. We've put together a new podcast for talking about new balance/gameplay/misc changes for Auro. Episode 1 covers version 1.29 with myself, lead artist Blake Reynolds and two of the game's biggest and bestest testers. If you're into Auro, you may want to take a gander. http://www.dinofarmgames.com/introducing-the-dinofarm-podcast-2/
Yes, there is hope for that. When we make the PC version, that version will be landscape. So - no promises - but we might be able to bring that landscape version to iOS. But yeah we would definitely still allow portrait mode, too.
Dear Keith. I just wanted to point out that you are the last hope of mobile gaming out there. Even from the day I first played Auro I can't believe developers like you still exist. Please, no matter what, never stop doing what you're doing. About the latest update - as I am not quite a hardcore player yet, but a sucker for visual design, I am really happy to see the improvements made to HUD, and I am really looking forward more improvements or perhaps its complete overhaul. Also, I have probably already asked you if there will ever be some customization options implemented? That'd would be nice too! I know your team aims towards the gameplay/balance improvements primarily for now, but Theres no doubt to me you already have some awesome ideas regarding these aspects, and I sincerely hope you find strength to start working on them once things settle down Once again, I can't get happy enough about what you and your team are doing with this game. You are a restoring force of modern mobile gaming. And thank you guys a lot for that.
Wow, horizoniki - what a wonderful thing to say. Thanks so much, it means a lot to know that people feel that way. We do really care about and love this game and we can only hope that that shows. We do have some (maybe) plans for some purely visual customization options. More news on that later. Rough time-frame on PC version is, we're hoping to have it out by the summer, maybe earlier? This is very rough, we're not sure.
Couldn't agree more. I'm positive the world has never seen such detailed patch notes as those for Auro version 1.29 for a mobile game (not to mention a 90-minute podcast show discussing them even further). Even most hardcore PC games don't come close to that. It's so awesome to still witness this gem of a game get better all the time!
I bought the game yesterday and haven't updated it yet but can't get past the first tutorial. The game freezes after I am told to move right to the teleporter? Attached is where it doesn't do anything but okay the music and the background.
I have not yet updated. Did this update make the game better or ruin it? I know some devs will make major changes to their games insisting that they made them better (wave wave) but in fact ruining the game for its original fans.
I decided to update since I bought It yesterday and the game wouldn't proceed at tutorial 1... I updated and have the same problem... I was told to bump the frozen eats into the water... 2 rats and bumped them both in the water and am now not sure what to do.. Still in the same stage with nothing but music playing in the background. What am I missing???
The game is legit, stop messing with it now and adjust the graphics to be crisp on the 6 / 6 plus next. I would like to be able to enjoy the detail of the artwork while bumping!
