i say...dont worry about the competition....if Astro Ranch is the AWESOME game i expect it to be...and you guys put as much hard work in as you say you did....then this game is gonna COMPLETELY blow away any competition out there!!! Release it now.
Same here. If the game is ready to be released, why put it off? There are always going to be 'big new games' coming out every day. So even if Rayman and We Rule are releasing around the same time, it does not mean that we will only choose one over the other. I plan on getting all three on release. Having an iDevice, you don't have to limit yourself to just one game. I, and many others, have bought at least 3-4 games in one day if many new games are released. What I'm trying to say is, you can release Astro Ranch today and I am sure that it will do just as well as if it was released a week from now.
This really shouldn't even be in question, you should just release it now and let the people here that have been waiting for it give you their money. I guess I am not clear how holding it off a week is going to cause more build up. I do see some other games coming out that people will spend their money on though. I am not sure if I am buying this game or not. However, it seems odd to wait even longer to release this game when the plan was to have it out several days back.
I'd say release it on Sunday. You'll beat out the Rayman by the day which is your major concern. I know that I check releases on Sunday more carefully. Saturday is sleep in day especially after any friday night events! so I don't suggest then!
I would think many people will want to play this weekend. It seems there will always be something coming out right around the corner, so is there really a good time for a release? BTW, "We Rule" is now out in Canada.
In all seriousness, release it now. Final Fantasy was the only "big" title that came out, and the whole iphone world knows it's existence. After this weekend it's going to be crazy good releases and you'll lose your shot.
I agree to get it out as soon as you can. I didn't see the We Rule connection until I saw We Rule was out and my first thought was - uh oh hurry up Astro Ranch! Friday has always seemed to be a big release day in my mind - seem to always stock up on new releases for the weekends.
hm...since they don't seem to be responding or releasing it today...I think I may start playing animal crossing again...hahahaha
! If they can release it now, please do so! I have had my $2.99 on my account for this game for weeks, and it gets more difficult everyday to hold on to it as more stuff comes out. But I keep thinking the second I spend it, Astro Rancher will come out! You at least have my $2.99 if you release it now!
Maybe if we garner enough support and spread the word, they will be nice to all of us that have waited since this game was announced and release it today. I say today as it will be out before the rest of the other "games" they are worried about, because if they are going to wait they will end up releasing the game even later than Monday because what if another game is announced to be released on Tuesday? I am going to spread the word to as many sites as I can, starting NOW!
I am thinking that Paul shouldn't have told us it was approved. That way everyone could have just continued to be mad at Apple until it was released.
