    To be honest the setup took about 20 minutes to do but driving about 40 minutes including doing the outlap. Once I got the setup I knew if I just go around the track I win. I think over the 4 tracks I am about 6 seconds off the pace of the car in total.

    Yup, it's hard on the brakes at some point after crossing the start line, I still haven't worked out the optimum point but I do know you don't want to be steering when you do it.

    I'm with you on the fun factor, if I get a bad sector I can just write the lap off, investigate other lines and build the momentum for the next lap.

    I've not tried any reverse courses so far, should be fun.

    Good work, as you can tell I didn't gel with the Integra.

    Might be a bit of AR fatigue too! Back into it with the 370Z though, modified goooood.

    Hello everyone,

    Just some quick news about what we are working on for the next update.
    It is definitely not an easy update for us because we need to move to Unity 5.
    When development started 3 years ago we developed on Unity 4 and moving to 5 was impossible earlier due to our release schedule.

    As there are a lot of breaking changes in the API, Lighting system, shaders etc, we have to redo a lot of things and operate differently to adapt to the new system.

    As you can imagine it is a lot of work, it is also possible that some stuff that was working before will stop working etc..
    So be aware that the next update will be more like an internal migration rather than an update full of new features...

    But there are also some good points of moving to Unity 5.
    Here is a quick list.

    - Lighting system changed and is more modern, so we could have much better visuals and up to date technology.
    - Physics calculation has been improved by Nvidia PhysX and seems much faster.
    - Unity probably made some nice optimization on their end so we could see a performance gain. (I already can tell that on my Nexus 5S the framerate seems to be much more stable).
    - Facebook integration will be easier.

    As for the new features, we can add some of them that do not take too long like adding sector time.

    Nice! I'll forget you mentioned Facebook, I loathe that site. Must be me age ... :eek:

    I know how you feel but it is undeniable that Facebook is a powerful weapon for spreading the game and adding a Facebook login can remove the stress of giving an unknown publisher your email address etc.

    Hopefully it will increase our downloads and retention and increase the competition!

    I hear you, 'tis the modern world. Anything that pushes the game is good in the end. It deserves wider exposure.

    @assolutoRacing does this change to Unity 5 involve raising the minimum iOS version in which the game works?
