If there is no update until then you may start racing the Honda S2000 https://s32.postimg.org/up1calol1/Screen_shot_2016_08_01_at_7_35_36_AM.png
You mean that you want to see the scores of the top 10 drivers which I then use to determine who wins the event right? I have been skipping this step without even realizing it, but I can start adding it when I announce the final results of event 5.
AR Championship Idea I'm gonna throw an idea out for criticism. I just noticed that cy@n has moved into 2nd place at Blue City, pushing me to 3rd and widening the gap between Jazz and I. The part that really sucks is that cy@n has not completed all events, so he doesn't even have an official score yet in this event. Hopefully he will complete the event, making my comment here mute. My idea is that, should cy@n not complete the event, I should get the place that he is in (if better than my own) when tallying up points. Especially if AlfaPower takes 2nd overall because I am lacking 1 or 2 points due to somebody ranking higher than me, that doesn't even complete the event. Thoughts? By the way, this situation has NOT happened to any of the top 10 finishers of any event so far. I'm not just writing a new rule to suit my needs. It will be applied to all PODIUM positions only.
I thought the whole idea was to have all your times in to make it official. The score isn't individual it's as a whole. So no, cyan's would not be valid until he puts a time in all tracks.
Cy@n isn't on the board yet for this event because he has not completed all events. My point is that his high-ranking positions above any of the top 3 drivers for this event should be ignored and the driver just below him should get his ranking # when I calculate the event points. The same goes for Lucete. Neither of these drivers have a complete set of scores so their ranking places right now are irrelevant. Event points are determined by adding up each driver's ranked place on the official leader boards and then dividing by 4. Right now, this is how the field looks: 1. Jazzman = 1.25 2. AudiR8cer = 2.5 (if I ignore Lucete's 3rd place rank at AR Official AND cy@n's 2nd place rank at Blue City, giving these places to myself, then I would have a 2) 3. AlfaPower = 3 (should be a 2.75 if Lucete and cy@n are ignored) 4. gps01 = 5.75 5. Tygart511 = 6.25 AlfaPower should not be able to tie or beat me, simply because I am lacking points that incomplete participants are taking from me. This rule can and will be utilized for everyone.
Same, For me I would expect that if I didn't complete all four tracks, then I would not be eligible to score any points that round.
I'm actually using the official (online) leader boards to collect all data. These show the top 100 lap times.
No, you guys are missing the point. Let's define the two types of points that I am using: 1. Scoring points- the average of your 4 lap times that determine each event's winners 2. Event points- awarded to top 10 finishers of each event; these are carried forward thru the series cy@n and Lucete don't have any SCORING points in this event because they have not yet completed all 4 events. That part is clear and easy. They do have really fast lap times at AR and Blue City, ahead of AlfaPower and myself, which is where the controversy lies. The controversy is that IF either one of them posts a lap time faster than a driver who does have scoring points, that driver should not finish the event behind another driver who only had higher scoring points because an incomplete participant robbed him/her of a better finishing rank at any of the 4 tracks. Currently AlfaPower has a 3, while I have a 2.5. If we ignore cy@n and Lucete's ranks and use them to calculate our scoring points, then Alfa has a 2.75 and I have a 2. Let's say for example, that he and I were tied for the first 2 tracks: AlfaPower - 1st, 2nd Me- 2nd, 1st We are tied so far. Then in the final two tracks: AlfaPower - 3rd, 2nd Me- 2nd, 4th (the 3rd place driver on the leader board of the 4th track is an incomplete participant) AlfaPower just gained a win over me since my scoring points were slightly higher due to the incomplete participant stealing my higher ranked position. At the very least, we should have been tied. Comparing total lap times for the event would then show who really wins. I am proposing this new rule for only the podium positions since the competition is so close.
At the moment I don't play these events (I have to wait MFi controls fix), but I disagree with this rule. If I was 1st, 100th+, 100th+ and 100th+ why should you delete me? Maybe you could add all four times, giving me a 09:59:999 or a 100th + 00:00:001 if I don't get a top 100 rank. In my opinion this would be more equitable.
First off, this new proposed rule is only for the top 3 finishing positions of any given event. At the top, you do have to be delicate (and fair) about how rules (or the lack of them) can skew results. Secondly, until the game tells each of us what rank we are (within the game), on a particular track/car/series combination, the online top 100 lists are all that any of us can look up right now to be able to set scores for this tournament. Unfortunately we have to play with what we have right now. It would be bad if you had the 1st place lap time on a track and then the other 3 were 101's. That is the reality that we have to play within for now, however.
Why only top three? It's totally arbitrary... This is why I suggest total times: the all around fastest wins. Simple and fair. By the way you arrange these events so you decide.
The top 3 positions are where the most Event Points are given out, which over the course of a 24-event season, can affect drivers' final championship finishing places. The event points awarded at the end of each event are just like Formula One points: 1st = 25 2nd = 18 3rd = 15 4th = 12 5th = 10 6th = 8 7th = 6 8th = 4 9th = 2 10th = 1 If the top 3 drivers are very close in the final championship series placings, I wouldn't want one driver to get an unfair advantage because he/she just happened to be able to SOMETIMES post faster lap times than incomplete-event drivers. Trust me, this system works if it is fairly/consistently applied. We either always ignore incomplete results at all times (and everything that is affected by them) or we don't but then we could get skewed results. It's not a perfect system but I will do my best to fairly administrate what we have been given.
Total lap time doesn't work... here's why: I place 3rd on 3 tracks but get a REALLY good lap time on one track. Compared to other 2 top drivers, I should finish 2nd or 3rd. What if my really fast lap puts me in 1st overall when ONLY considering total lap times? The other two drivers would argue that they should be 1st and 2nd for the event, not me.
You are REALLY fast but you don't win. This isn't fair, I think. By the way I gave you my opinion, but I said you decide.
IMHO the very best solution would be: Points for every single track ... Total time over the 4 tracks would be ok, too. And no one would argue if this are just the rules My biggest problem with the current system is: i hardly find the time to race 4 tracks every 2 days for weeks.
Yep, you should play only Assoluto Racing in your spare time. I hope there will be official daily and/or weekly challenges.
Well that may be a while as the assoluto team is pretty small... Although I'm pumped for the daily rewards lmao.
Congratulations AlfaPower for winning event #5! I will post full results soon. Here is the podium: 1. AlfaPower = 1.5 2. Jazzman = 2 3. AudiR8cer = 2.5
