You may have some of these already in, only played to level7, but saw enough to know I like what I see and what I think would be great additions/enhancements: 1. Athstecicly, playing on a cream colored hexes dispels the notion this is a space game. Black hex, hud-neon borders. 2. Game would be much more challenging if enemy attack patterns rotated with their heading. Makes no sense otherwise, perhaps they do in later levels. Fix this and game would be 100% more challenging. 3. Don't kill the hyperdrive feature, instead make it refresh quicker as you level up. 4. Same with neutron gun, don't nerf it. Make every each level alternate between range, refresh rate, chain an addition adjacent enemy, area effect pattern, etc. 5. The ship design is uninspiring. You sound like a trek fan, why not use the nacell style design of trek! there far to little of that shows influence in mobile gaming. Enemy birds of prey would be cool. 6. Worm holes/teleports 7. Cloaking device, tractor beams, shield ram 8. Dockable Repair Base 9. Defend Station/planet mission/level 10. Escort ship to jump point level 11. Mine rock, return ore to base, avoid enemy ship level
@gmattergames, thanks for the suggestions. While developing the game, I tried different styles for the tiles. Here's something that looks better. The reason I went with the current look of the tiles is because it adds contrast & the enemies stand out separately. I really like your teleport & tractor beam idea. Will try to incorporate these in some future update. Will have to do a lot of work to make these happen For the next update, I will be adding 2 new enemy types, some changes to the upgrade structure & some graphical improvements.
@Stella, thanks a lot for the gameplay vid. Too bad that Assault Vector did not make it to your Games of the Week list.
2 new enemy types. Need your feedback. 1. The Boomer: Has an attack pattern that makes it impossible to attack without using the Neutron Cannon. Max occurrence: randomly, once per level. 2. Kamikaaze: Has a weak attack pattern. When destroyed, deals damage to all ships(player or enemy) in adjacent cells. Max occurrence: randomly, once per level.
Is this game like Space War for the Palm? And I don't mean that in a bad way, I really liked that game and was sad it was never ported to modern devices.
I have never played Space War. From the looks of the screenshots & little description available on the net, it might be similar. Give this a shot, you will have a great time for sure.
Latest news Hey guys, I am working on the next update which will give you: * 2 new, difficult enemy ships * Certain modifications to the upgrade structure so that it does not make the player a super powered space cowboy * Graphical improvements * New leaderboards since the difficulty level of the game will change due to the addition of new enemy types I had a busy time at my day job which sucked out all of my energy resulting in this 1 week delay to the update. I am back to my A-game & will be ready with this update in the next 2-3 days. Once this update is done & submitted to the App Store, I am planning to integrate Everyplay so that you can record & share your game replays with the world I am eager to hear your feedback & improve this game. Keep playing Assault Vector & having fun. Cheers, Preet
Update submitted! Hi Guys, I have submitted v1.1 update to Apple & it should be approved by next week. What's new: * New enemies * Better AI * New leaderboards * Enhanced graphics Celebrating the submission, Assault Vector is on sale for $0.99 till 28 August. If you haven't already, grab it today and have fun
Looking foward to the update, as it stands the game is pretty easy. I just finished my 6th game, after level 100 I forced myself to kill all ships to proceed, and still made it to level 114. Love the logic behind this, but something needs to be done to shake it up a bit. New enemy types will help, as levels with more diverse enemy sets are more difficult.
Sector 114!!! Initially, when designing the AI, I purposefully gave it some idiotic moves so that the game does not become too difficult for the mobile audience. Turns out I was wrong I will revisit the AI based on update 1.1's feedback. Please do rate Assault Vector on the App Store.
Good news! It's 1st of September! Assault Vector is down to $0.99 from its regular price of $1.99 (USD) for a day. Download, play, have fun, spread the word & please leave a review on the App Store. http://bit.ly/assaultv Cheers, Preet

Your inputs are required Hi guys, I am planning to integrate EveryPlay replay service in my game. What do you think? Would you be interested in sharing your replays or will it be an unused feature?
Feed me back! Hello gamers, Did you get a chance to play v1.1? How long did it take for you to clear Sector 15? And most importantly, did you have fun & would you recommend Assault Vector to your friends? Let me know! Cheers, Preet
Hi. Yes I've had a chance to play some. Not a great deal as I've been busy with work and stuff but I've enjoyed what I've played so far. Took me a couple of plays to get the hang of it but it's a good turn based game and it's still on my phone along with 868 and nightmare cooperative. So the fact I've kept it is a good sign as I'm just waiting until I get some proper time to play it. I'd recommend it as from what I've played it's cool and for how ever much it cost me 69p or £1.49 (something like that) it's a bargain if you like tbs games. I haven't got very far only sector 4 or 5 but will definitely be coming back to it. Edit. Everyplay replays is something I very rarely use and wouldn't use in this kind of game. I usually use it in games where you build contraptions and stuff things that you'd want to show off. Just my opinion though.
