Just a weird question ... Have the other Assassins Creed games been pulled? I didn't see the older ones when I grabbed this. Thanks!

Yeah, Gameloft pulled theirs, whoever did AC2 pulled that, and the card game was pulled as well as that online multiplayer game. Bummer because they are all good in some ways. AC2 won't work with current iOS though. The others I've played on iOS7 because they are still found in my purchased apps.

I have everything on 100% now. Just need to fishing a lot :D. BUT i want that gold perks and other ships.

Know someone here what is the best way to earn gold?

BTW for you guys just starting. I bought starter pack and you can get with that ship to the end and to do everything 100% you just need that last ship for 150000 gold so its easy to get thet one .)

Best way I've found is the short racing mission on boca del diablo. It's 5000 gold per completing race. It's slow going but I can't find anything more effecient

I was diong that last "win 10 battles" mission. Its 15k but it took too long i guess. Maybe some essy race for 10k could be nice. I try some tomorrow

Sorry if this has been amswered-is there a way to do anything to protect yourself from "broad red" broadsides? There isn't any place to dodge?

And also-whales were easy at first. Now-they simply hop in front of me. Do you have to drop anchor?

No you cant - at least from what i know - when the time comes use your block feature and you are good to go

I dont know what you mean with that whales but you need to find whale spot on minimap and then click on that spear button to start that whale catching minigame ... i try to find whale spot trough normal ship view but looks like that doesnt work. And yes as you progress further to other areas whales are harder to kill but not to find.

    Hope that helps

    Defeating Scorpion Reef Super Ship

For those that are having problems defeating the Scorpion Reef Super Ship; I had a hell of a time getting past it since I didn't want to drop a pile of gold upgrading to a larger ship, but there is another way around it: One of the perks you can get will give you a spidershot with a 70s cooldown (max upgrade) - Spidershot is the only way to avoid the full-width cannon barrage. Dodge every single attack you can normally and only use the spidershot when the unavoidable cannon barrage comes.

    can't find slavers!

    Hey guys,

    I need help... seriously stumped.

I'm at 95% complete on first map, and have yet to see my first slaver.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Do they just show up in open water randomly?

    Thanks!

    Hello everyone,
does anybody else have problems in signing in with facebook?
Coins for signing in have now risen to 10k, but whenever I want to connect it says I'm not connected to the internet.
However my W-Lan works fine, and I can even look at the privacy policy, which shouldn't work as well if I weren't connected to the internet.
    thanks for Help

Ever since I reinstalled this earlier this summer I haven't been able to sign in to facebook OR buy any IAP! So, that and their F2P model ensures that they'll never get money from most of us.

Update: IAP works fine BUT Facebook will still not connect. Very frustrating when they offer all those coins to connect and then tell you that you can't connect!

    Greetings and Salutations

I'm new here, but I have been playing ACP for a couple of months (Android version). Just wanted to answer some of the questions that I have seen posted on here.

There is NO cloud save, and no mechanism for saving/restoring your game data (unless you are using a rooted Android device:D). For a game that requires IAPs to make money, this is nothing less than criminal IMO.

Slavers, Whales, Drowning Sailors are randomly generated. There is a perk called "Dynamic Event" that improves your chances.

You don't have to do the survivor (10 battles) or SuperShip missions immediately - you can move on and come back when you have a Man O War and ace them - particularly if you add some legendary perks.

Best way to make money fast: Kill Traders - they yield 10x cash that navy ships do. Use Tactical mode for getting around fast. Traders don't re-spawn - just re-load the location (map screen, then click on your current location) to get a bunch more. It is easy enough to make 50k-100k/hr.

Don't bother fishing unless you are having trouble sleeping - it's a waste of time and money.

Hope that helps. I have written a review on my blog (http://wizardprang.wordpress.com/2014/09/12/arrrr/), and also a list of bugs I have found (http://www.wizardprang.com/acpbugs - no spoilers though!) I am writing a Game Guide - free version is at http://www.wizardprang.com/acp (Admin, no evil is intended, please remove the links if I am breaching forum rules), or just email or pm me.

Assassin's Creed Pirates Walkthrough & Tips

This is a short walkthrough with some tips to help my fellow pirates save a lot of time and effort.

When you start the game, you are taken through the primary missions of Devil's Rock and Scorpion Reef, which also serves as a tutorial. Upgrading your ship to the schooner "The Wanderer" (thankfully for free) and buying your first crew member (which gives you the Speed Up rare perk) are non-optional. At this point, you are upgraded to Level 2 and given the freedom to roam around Scorpion Reef. From here on, all decisions you make affect how fast and how much efforts you spend to you progress ahead in the game.

    Time for a few tips:

    1) Upgrade your ship speed (1000 coins) and the speed up perk (1000 coins) right away. You will immediately recover these coins because this completes 2 of the 3 daily challenges.

    2) Do NOT spend a single coin from this point onwards. Any purchases you make on early in the game are sheer waste of coins. Despite Jumao telling you earlier to keep purchasing crew members frequently, you shouldn't!

    3) The entire game can be completed by owning just 2 ships, one of which you already own. The next ship on your radar should be the frigate "The Fearless" which costs 90,000 coins so start saving up.

    4) This is probably a good time to check out the Animus (pause menu), the panel at the top of the screen when you hit the top right icon showing your current Level. Make sure you check out the Profile (leftmost icon) and Legend under Settings (rightmost icon).

    5) The game has 4 types of resources: Coins, Supplies (or fish), Wood and Books. Coins are needed for any and all purchases and upgrades. Supplies are needed for progressing to next level, Wood is needed to upgrade your ship and Books are needed for upgrading perks.

    6) Your aim should be stockpiling all these resources to make some heavy purchasing at a later point in the game. The best way to earn these is to complete the main missions (assassination, mystery, race or merchant). In any particular map, all of these missions give the same rewards, so pick a mission which takes relatively less amount of time and keep playing it over and over till you level up enough to reach the next level. Assasination and race missions are usually the quickest.

    7) There are a lot of optional missions for each map. Completely ignore those until you finish the final map, there will be plenty of time to go after these later.

Keep playing the main missions, you should reach Level 5 (3rd daily challenge finished here) in no time at all so you can progress to the next level. Keep using the strategy pointed above in Tip 6) to progress to the next map and so on and so forth till you reach the Grand Bahamas.

    GRAND BAHAMAS
While playing Alonzo's story in this map, towards the end Hume shows up with his Man O'War called King George. This is a tricky battle, especially with our tiny schooner. While it is possible to sink this ship with just "The Wanderer" and no perks, its not a reliable strategy. It pretty much boils down to how the Man O'War uses the unavoidable broadside attack. So I just quit the main story and kept doing the assasination missions. I already had 60,000+ coins at this point and each completed mission gave me 3,500 more. 10 short missions later, I had 95,000+ coins which I used to buy the Frigate "The Fearless" and immediately upgrade its power to the max. Finish Alonzo's story, keep progressing to the next map till you are at the last map (Mayaguana).

From here on, it's totally upto you. Now you are free to remove the spending ban I had put earlier on and decide how you want to spend. What I would personally suggest is to save up 120,000 coins more and then sail to Arctic Seas. Completing the story there gives you the Supplier legendary perk, which doubles all resources (including coins) in the loot you collect. Sail back to Mayaguana.

I kept earning coins at this level till I had no need for more coins. Obviously you have gone a long while without buying any crew members (and the perks they come with) so take a look at the tavern. Buy Calico Jack (Gun Crazy legendary perk, costs 100,000 coins) as soon as you can. It's extremely useful and makes winning battles a breeze since it makes the Heavy Shot and Mortar available to you at the start of every battle. I also upgraded "The Wanderer" speed to max, so it becomes my racing ship while "The Fearless" is for all other missions. Then I bought all the non-legendary crew (the ones in white, not gold) in the Tavern and upgraded the useful perks to full (see list below).

So the plan is pretty simple. Reach the last map as soon as possible (since that's where you get most coins), playing only Alonzo's stories and main missions. Then repeatedly keep killing the trader ships on the last map to earn coins and resources in crazy quick time. Buy/upgrade your ships and perks as you see fit. Then go back to the previous maps to finish the main and optional missions to get 100% Synchronized (Completed).

    Other General Tips:

    1) Treasure maps are found in loot after killing the Aggressive (Red) naval ships or Neutral (Gold) trader ships. Except in Devil's Rock, where the treasure map is found after killing the Super Ship.

    2) While completing any main missions, its not compulsory to achieve all the secondary objectives in one go. So when u r playing race missions to earn resources, don't forget to use boosts to quicken the pace.

    3) Using Speed Up perk in race missions doesnt qualify as a boost. So use it as frequently as possible and fully upgrade it when you can spare the coins.

    4) Don't play the game with just one set of perks loaded. Keep swapping them as needed for various missions (see list below). Trust me, makes a huge difference.

    5) When you are trying to earn coins in Mayaguana, make sure you have the Supplier and Golden Touch perks equipped before picking up the loot, especially when sinking the super ship which gives you a lot of coins in loot.

    7) Whaling during night is a major pain in the ass, since u can't spot the whale at all. Just reload the map till u get good weather.

    8) During whaling, make sure ur swipes are nice and long, but fast. I have lost many a whale despite making the proper swipes.

    9) In the Mayaguyana map, unless you have a Man O'War finishing the mystery missions in the allocated time becomes difficult. The answer is to switch to a faster ship and avoid combat with the sentries. Its a bit difficult, but definitely doable with the Discretion & Harpoon King perks.

    10) U get a spider shot after 5 successful perfect dodges (in cannon dodge mode) or 12 perfect defenses (in cannon defense mode). So keep a count while fighting the super ships or in the Survival missions. Sadly the count resets if u get even a minor hit, so be careful.

    11) Fast travel locations are a pain in the ass and counterproductive, so do not capture them till all the other missions are done. You want to travel as much as possible in tactical mode to get dynamic events like treasure maps, slavers, drowning men and whales.

    12) Don't upgrade any perk unless you have bought out all the crew members. Why? Because there are so many perks in the game, a better one might just be around the corner. So, wait till you have them all and are sure which ones you are going to use frequently (see list below).

    13) Don't bother engaging the agressive (red) ships. Not worth the efforts as they give very few coins, just avoid them as much as possible.

    14) The game has a lot of bugs, which aren't going to get fixed ever. The games doesn't connect to internet, and with the recent update has introduced Mayan Temples which is going to be a lot frustrating. DO NOT bother with the temples until you have nothing else to do. Despite looking fun, playing the Mayan temples requires a lot of coins and supplies.

    15) Lastly, fishing is a complete waste of time. Sure, it may look cute and fun.....but still a complete waste of time.

Useful Perks, which means fully upgrade:

    SAIL
    Full Speed (Racing missions)
    Iron Sails (Racing missions)
Dynamic Event (when you are searching for whales, slavers, drowning men or treasure maps)
Discretion (Useful in mystery missions for avoiding enemy ships)

    HULL
    Gun Crazy (Combat missions)
Supplier (doubles all resources in loot)
Damage X2/Brute Force/Faster Reload (Combat missions)
    Canister Pro (Combat missions)
Harpoon King (Useful in mystery missions for avoiding enemy ships)
Treasure Bounty (only when you are searching for treasure maps)

    FIGUREHEAD
    Instant Reload (Combat missions)
    Regeneration/Repair (Survival missions)
    Speed Up (Racing missions)

    CANNONS
Critical Strike (Combat missions, use with Heavy Shot)

The Mayan temples completely degrade the gaming experience. If I wanted to play a running game, there's Temple Run 2 for that!

Besides the kick-ass graphics, the entire Mayan temple thing is pretty bad.

Firstly, the entire running game is in FIRST PERSON view!!! How stupid is that!

The game simply doesn't recognize short, quick swipes...be it in the temple or out in the ocean while whaling.

You can change lanes by tilting your device, except when the game suddenly requires you to swipe to change lanes. It gets confusing!

Doing the vertical wall run requires quite a bit of luck and precise timing, not to mention long swipes.

Sliding through wall holes is okay, except when it doesn't work. No matter what you do, sometimes you always get stuck.

Some missions have treasure map chests in them, but they don't always show up....which means u have to keep trying repeatedly despite collecting the necessary 100 coins.

The coin price to keep playing after making a mistake is ridiculous. Sometimes I have ended up paying the cost of a ship! The coin returns after completing the mission is insignificant.

Not to mention each running mission costs supplies. WHY??

And what do you get after successfully completing the Mayan temple missions? Coin rewards for completing treasure collections (which isn't worth the effort) and customizations for ships which boost either power, defense or speed by 5%. Again, NOT worth the effort.

Finally, the introduction of Mayan temples has broken the whole "100% Synchronized" thing. I have completed ALL missions including Mayan temples and still it shows 92.1% synchronized on every map. Am I missing something here?

All in all, only play Mayan temples when you have finished everything else and you have times, coins and supplies to spare. Otherwise, just leave them be.
