i watched the gameplay video and everything looked fine...until i saw that forward/backward dodging,LOL.That destroyed the whole immersion for me.
I feel like Eiichiro Oda deserves credit for the storyline... Did anyone get a Onepiece vibe from the plot???
For anyone who cares, here is a translated (and cut) version of the Danish review I did... http://www.gamereactor.eu/reviews/101864/Assassin%27s+Creed%3A+Pirates/?sid=1bb4d008fbcdc688b575301224664635 5/10 for those caring about scores more than text. I really wish they had done something smarter with this than trying to go casual and lower the difficulty to zero.
Such a shame, I had huge hopes for this game... I would probably have bought it anyway if it weren't for the stupid 'dodge' mechanics in battle... Such an immersion breaker. Why make such amazing immersive graphics and include such immersion breaking mechanics. What a flop, severely disappointed
And the most disappointing aspect of this game is that it could have been soooo good. But instead of paving the way for something innovative they went the easy route and that's just sad.
I think Sid Meier's Pirates is much more involved and has more depth than this. I'll stick with that and find some other release this week to get into. This does look pretty though.
Yep, just like KingHunt yet somehow that game is getting 5 star ratings from the community. I thought both of these games had a lot of potential. I was extremely disappointed in both.
Nah, the mechanics aren't broken, only the difficulty setting. It is still fun and great looking, which means a five is where it should be if you ask me. Two is too harsh. I don't understand the sites giving it at 7 or 8 and talking about how you can earn xp and upgrade tons of stuff. Sure you can, but you earn everything way too fast and there is no challenge. The cap is lvl 20 and you probably reach that at the ending of the main campaign, which means you have nothing left to do in the sandbox but repetition for nothing. Looking forward to seeing what TA scores it. I am guessing a 3 star.
four stars for me. Graphics should be enhanced for lower devices however. Look at gamelofts most recent modern combat title. It looks great and it plays great
I'll be the odd man out and say I really enjoyed it! Yes the difficulty is a bit baby mode but they can always adjust it. I'm really glad there's no in app transactions. I haven't seen any game that has as good as a control scheme so I feel like I got my money's worth IMO.
Yep. LAZY = trying to do less while making MORE money at the same time (e.g. Using the popular brand name to quick-sell a cheezy and cheap game that barely has any relevance to the series). It looks pathetic, I was hoping for more depth and less cartoony cheez. PASS.
