I can't beat the additional challenge on level 10. It wants me to take an alternative route to my target, and I thought that's what I had been doing. There's like a back entrance on the opposite side of the bridge from where that portion of the level begins after you escort the first guy to where he needs to go. So I kill the two guards guarding that opposite bridge entrance, then wait for the other two guards who are patrolling back and forth along the bridge to have their backs turned. Then there's a side entrance which leads to like an alleyway sort of thing with wooden structures (gallows?) and it leads to a curved staircase which would basically put me right above where my target is standing. However, everything is going fine until I'm walking through this alley part and then all of a sudden it triggers the target's bodyguards on my map (as little skull icons or whatever) and it's at that time I get a message saying the challenge has failed. So I'm either doing the entirely wrong thing, doing just one small part wrong enough it's triggering the fail, or I just plain don't understand what the hell the game wants me to do. Hope that all made sense. Anybody have any tips? TIA
This is how I did it. I'll put the solution in spoilers in case anyone else wants to figure it out for themselves. Spoiler Head over the steps just in front of where our guy is facing. Hop over the wall, then make your way under the bridge, assassinating the enemy along the way. This takes you directly to the targets, and you only have to encounter one other enemy getting there. http://www.candykiller.com/temp/alternate.jpg
Well, that took a bit of grinding but I finally unlocked the Lammergeier - the highest ranking outfit in the game. I'm really enjoying the challenge of the Master level contract missions. You have to be very tactical and stealthy. You don't stand a chance of button mashing your way through these missions.
THANK YOU! As usual I was overthinking things and got all hung up on my alleyway idea. Thanks a lot for the pic too, that helped
No problem - happy to help. I was originally overthinking this one as well. It took a few attempts before I figured out that it's quite straightforward, once you get to know the environments a bit better.
If you want to play at harder difficulties, you should play the contract missions. They are basically the same mission types as the campaign (plus some new challenges) but randomly generated, and they get harder as you progress from Novice to Master.
That's what I have been playing, was just curious if there was any way to play the original missions at higher difficulties as well. Couldn't find any way to change it so I figured there wasn't. Thanks
Yeah, the way they have structured the game is a bit odd. Most people expect the campaign to be the main portion of a game, but here itÂ’s really just an extended basic tutorial to get you started. The real fun comes as you level up and progress through the various tiers of the contract missions.
I wonder if they plan on adding more difficulties to the story mission campaign later. They've got an acheivement for finishing the campaign in normal mode. But there isn't any other mode yet. So the acheivement should just have been for finishing the campaign... Unless, they are planning to add more difficulties later.
Just to expand on this, each class has three "class outfits", you earn the first when you get to level 7, the second at level 15, and the third from using a specific skill from each class. For example, the third shadowblade outfit is earned after you use his smoke bomb 250 times. Then there are 6 outfits in the coin shop, and another 3 in the hero shop (these seem to be the best). Also, you get another one after you have 9 class outfits:
Hey guys did u note the new Event!? Its amazing But I need to do the 1st and 2nd mission. Give me your ID to add you!!! This is mine: 62a 0aa3 a4b
What are the stats for the one you got after you have 9 class outfits? Do know what skills I need for each class to unlock the last outfit?
Logged on, started a 50% XP boost for the next 2 hours, and now being forced to log off after 2 missions because the "synchronizing" screens are seeming loading forever. My internet isn't "that" bad...I've been playing online PC games (shooters, MMORPGs) with it for years and their loading times are nothing compared to this. This is where the online only requirement really backfires.
I believe it is 44 power, and 125 precision. I usually use the crow outfit for the incognito bonus, but right now I'm wearing that because it looks good Regarding the skills, it's pickpocket for thief, splinter bomb for berserker, disguise for trickster, and smoke bomb for shadowblade. @JakeOpp, definitely agree with you that's the problem with online only requirement, sometimes things just don't seem to work properly and it becomes frustrating, instead of fun. But I must say I don't believe the XP boost has anything to do with it, as I usually don't play without one of those bad boys, and haven't had much of an issue so far. But yeah, online only sucks. @AeroSmash: Hey, sure, added you. Here's mine if anyone wants to add me: d12 f4df 2db
