Finally was able to play a little. Here is my short impression: Graphics and sound are superbe. Missions are not to big and not to small. Just big enough area to feel freadom and small enough not to get lost. Still figuring hout the hero currency, which can be used to purchase hero level (think vip level) that give xp and money gained from rewards and other benefits. It is also used to unlock the 4th class; Thief. The mission reward currency is easy to get and cosmetic items in store are purchased by the mission reward currency. Few negative sides: The game hates batteries and destroys them, like no other game. Controlls needs adjustment. Right joystic, which controls the camera, needs serious adjustment. It is a bit clunky and will make you feel as if youre fighting the camera boss, while fighting other NPCs. Another thing that needs urgent attention is the tap on ground movement. There has to be an option to disable tap on terrain movement. When youre near a target, they get an icon of interaction above their head. If you got sossage fingers like me and miss that button, you will endup wondering around, while getting killed by the guard who saw you. Overall very enjoyable game. No framerate problems on iphone 6 plus, but a dozen crashes.
This game has no story at all ?? well that's really weird for a AC game.Even though its for mobile, but I never played a single AC title game where there is no story, even AC pirates has story though and story is the only thing that make me bought all the AC titles...
I'm afraid you'll have to read the text on the loading screens and in the Codex for the story, but it's there. It also ensures the game doesn't bloat up to 2007289673968 GB.
Guys, this isn't the iOS Assassin's Creed I've been waiting for. I can't throw money to distract people. Time for a refund.
for 4.99 this game seems very good maybe if it was priced like a square enix game then more would have been expected but it isn't. I'll definitely be getting it when the android version is released.
Yep, bye bye battery... Maybe they can improve it? It's weird, I've seen to have the opposite happen to me. I've not had problems with crashing but have lagged quite a bit (iphone 6, 8.0). The lag could be because I only have 6 gigs available but who knows.
Same here sounded best so went w it Also this game is more challenging then I expected but that's a good thing I haven't played an AC game in a while so I'm still getting the hang of things again
Game seems fairly good so far. Does anybody know what the different attributes (evasion, stealth, precision etc.) actually translate into in terms of benefits?
If you click on the attributes in the Detailed view of you assassin's page, it tells you exactly what you are asking
After playing some more, I can say I'm hooked. It definitely has its faults, it could be better, but it kind of reminds me of the first AC, where movement was a bit tricky until you got the hang of it, and a lot of things were still a bit awkward. It could be a bit meatier, as campaign is very short, and the game only really begins when you unlock the hero shop. From that point on, all you do is play contract missions, which are mostly devoid of story, and grind, grind, grind. You'll eventually unlock more mission types and locations, so it adds some variety. So, basically, it comes to this, either you enjoy the gameplay, and play it because it's FUN, or you don't, and there's nothing else to do about it, really. I guess we can discuss the game's merits or mistakes, but the way judgment is thrown around in here sometimes makes me a bit sad. Enjoy what you have, or move on, right?
I enjoyed AC2 on my Xbox 360, years ago. Never played the sequels. I'm kind of tempted to get this but I did some research. There was another game, AC Pirates which was premium and then was turned into a freemium game and apparently, the buyers didn't get a compensation for it... I'm afraid this could turn into a freemium game with energy and timers, screwing over early buyers without any kind of compensation...
After watching a video of gameplay while running this morning, I've come to the realization that AC Identity is to the Assassin's Creed universe as SW Uprising is to the Star Wars universe. They look like the same kind of mission-based, leveling-up, gear-chasing kind of game. Not necessarily a bad thing. But Uprising definitely wears its F2P mechanics on its sleeve. But, that aside, this game looks really good. Can you replay missions to keep getting those rewards like in Uprising? Then sell the 2nd set of gear you get to receive even more currency?
Yes, you can replay the campaign missions, but I would recommend playing the heroic rank contract missions to get much better items and rewards. And yes, you can keep selling the stuff you dont need until you get the best gear.
After about 10 min of play my phone and iPad get really hot, to the point I have to shut off my phone to let it cool. Doesn't seem very good for the phone. I also don't like the online only. My phone connection sucks and I have to have wifi for my iPad. Does it really need a constant internet connection. Seems like most iPhone games are internet only and it takes away from a mobile experience. This is going to be the last game I buy for my phone, if I want to play online games I'll just use my PS4. Way better connection
I like the game. Controls are a bit stiff using my gamepad. Doesn't effect the gameplay too much at all. I'm satisfied.
I'm really liking it. Sometimes the controls are bit wonky but I don't mind, I do though wish we had a bit more control over the parkour(specifically wall climbing) so we can be more strategic. I also hope we get more assassinations in a future update, double kills and what not.
As much as I love the game and will continue to defend it, I've deleted it off my phone and moved it to my iPad. The battery drain is excessive to the point where I itch to play a single level and find 10% of my battery gone. Considering I'm out of the house over half the day every day, that is completely unacceptable.
