Very good point!! I'm not mad about it anyways I love the game and it's actually better than I thought it would be but my expectations were at an appropriate level and at the end of the day I bought it because it's not free to play and applaud them for that!
Well, DSL isn't usually described as fast probably why I'm having issues. Kinda disappointing you can't play offline.
Well I like the game. A lot. So, for those who agree. Let's talk about it, shall we? I chose shadowblade and it's a fun class so far. I'm addicted to opening those mystery boxes. I leap of faith every chance I get. And lastly, it was cool watching people slowly walk by my desk and hear "dude how are you playing Assassins Creed on your iPhone?" I think a couple thought it was an emulator or something. But nope, just a good game to enjoy on my iPhone. Okay, back to the angry posters I guess
I'm enjoying the game as well. Not thrilled about the online only but that's alright. It's still fun, and I haven't found the controls clunky yet.
Well this is encouraging! Leaning back and forth on the fence, but definitely don't regret buying Crashlands while I wait
I had my assumptions and it is somewhat what I thought earlier but I am having fun and I think if you look at for what it is then I'll say this is damn good and well made. Goes to show you can't always just assume. Glad I formed my own opinion and picked it up. Glad for the ta members with open minds. Is this the best Ac ? No. Is this the best Ac for mobile ? You bet your ass it is.
Well yeah- the devs Madeline me think so. And you know The world could easily get interesting With - pmc inter conflict - funny stories Like a dog stealing a merchant marchandise. Make the world a bit random.
That's some sort of pro What about the fact that this game can be unplayable in the metro? ( I hate riding on the train)
I do like the codex and the stories Leonardo was genius and the stuff about him in the codex is rooted in facts. I have always enjoyed learning about him and tesla. When people think genius they think Einstein and it's hard to compare the two but I think Leonardo was on another plane. Also he's my fav ninja turtle haha had to throw that in Good game
this game is really fun. I never played a AC game before except AC pirates for mobile (meh) this game looks really good and is fun killing people and stuff. I'm enjoying it the only downer is my phone is BURNINGGGGGG
Thanks for the detailed impressions Echoen, you pretty much nail the areas of concern for me. This sounds much different than the pitch in the developer commentary featured here at TA a little while ago. I'm sure many are enjoying the experience as is, I just have so many other titles that actually nail the feeling they are going for, take better advantage of the platform, and are much more fleshed out experiences overall. I really wanted to believe this was going to be in close parity with the console releases, and if it has started out development as a premium title I truly believe it could have nailed that feeling. As it is though, I think I will wait to see if this is handled the same way as AC: Pirates and like Curtis I'll throw it some money for IAP after the price for entry has been cut which seems like where this will be headed once the initial release momentum has cooled. Also, after watching current version gameplay it just feels off for some reason. Like the animations don't quite fit the actions and that has always been a big immersion breaker for me which is a hugely important part of games like this. Pair that with a lackluster story, hub based instead of open world mission system, clunky movement and controls when running around, and the use of Unity instead of Unreal with its higher poly-count and better environmental effects and I just have a hard time getting as excited about this as I want to... I'm Wishing for everyone who is digging this game that Unisoft gives you a good run before dropping the price to free like in the case of AC: Pirates! Game on! Okay, and now back into Crashlands which my $5 went to instead. Definitely anything but regretting that purchase!!
Thanks for taking the time to point this out Jenohart. This is what I was trying to refer to in my comment regarding piracy as a factor in the requirement for online only gameplay in a single player game. Many will want to play when network is not available (on a subway commute for example.) And as you say, like it has been with music, the fact that it is DRM may itself actually prompt more piracy than purchases simply because of the advantages of a non-DRM version of the same game. Just my 2 cents, and I'm still on the fence about this, but will give it a little time to cool off first.
Hehe, glad you got Crashlands. That's a really great game and it leaves such a small imprint on your device that you'll never be able to justify deleting it Regarding AC, as I've said earlier, it's definitely worth its asking price, just adjust your expectations accordingly, and be ready to deal with some currency shenanigans, as everything costs coins. They come in plenty after you beat the campaign, so it's not all bad, just a bit silly for a premium game.
Yay, just got the black outfit to add to the collection, and a full set of purple gear. Not a bad haul for the first day of playing.
