As the global launch of GREE's new social platform swings into view, so the Japanese firm is taking steps to ensure it's packed with content. Much of the company's recent focus has been on strengthening its ties in the US (fostering first party development high on the agenda) but GREE has now turned its attention to Europe – or, more specifically, French publishers Ubisoft and Gameloft. In two separate developments, GREE has unveiled partnerships with both outfits – the former pledging to bring Assassin's Creed to the platform before the end of 2012. The specifics of the game itself are unknown, but GREE claims the two parties are committed to "delivering a new and innovative social gaming experience to the franchise" on both iOS and Android. Update: The Gree platform launches in Europe in Q2 2012, so at some point April to June. Assassin's Creed will be available in December in English and Japanese, with other languages to follow.
