I really really hope this is better than the DS Assassin's Creed "game". That was a prime example of taking valuable IP, porting it to a barely playable game, and having tons of people blindly buy it because they liked the game on the 360. Still miffed over how terrible the DS port was...
Sorry, port wasn't the correct word. I meant "port" as in taking existing popular IP and butchering it to fit on a handheld platform. The results of which are nothing like the original aside from vague art style similarities and title screen. That describes Assassin's Creed DS pretty well.
When does the $19.99 store open? If in April, expect this to be one of those titles; I can't see them bringing the "same experience as on the PS3 and 360" without a premium price. Just my $0.02.
Don't count on the "same experience", a game like Assassin's Creed just isn't possible without analog joysticks and tons of buttons. I think what we'll see is iPhone-friendly mini games loosely based on the Assassin's Creed universe. What remains to be seen though, is what Apple will allow on the App Store in regards to violence. Are there any apps on the store currently that comes anywhere close to Assassin's Creed when it comes to slitting people's throats?
Assassins Creed!!!!!! This game is goin too look mad sweet because all gamelofts games are cool and 3D. I cant wait for this to come out. This is going to be an awsome app.
amateur surgeon was pretty close, though i never got it yet... EDIT: pretty close as in blood and stuff like that. seriously, it's from adult swim!wat do u expect?
this has awesome potential, but i cant help to think that theyre gonna tone it down a ton. I hope its still at least close.
Well, here is the info for the non-iPhone cell phone version of the game- http://www.gameloft.com/mobile-games/assassins-creed-hd/ From the tiny screenshot it looks identical to the DS version... Who knows if what they're planning on releasing is going to be a port of this or something new entirely. With how great both Oregon Trail and Let's Golf has been I'm really starting to be pretty optimistic about GameLoft titles.
True, but Oregon Trail and most of the other GameLoft games are almost identical copies of their existing cellular game library.
most new gameloft games are released at 6 bucks hopefully this is the same-or else youre right i will not buy
