Is there a way to know if anyone is even reading their tweets? Is there a contact person or something? These guys are starting to look crappy with the lack of info here.
Yeah, I must admit I'm avoiding Twitter like the plague. I'm sure I'll have to eventually break down and set up an account, just like Facebook, but I'm dragging my feet on it. From what I've read of Twitter posts, it too often involves what people are eating. I couldn't give a rat's ass.
I didn't care about Twitter either. But once you get into it it's quite addictive. What I'm really liking is how great Twitter is for news and alerts. Just follw the devs, blogs you like and you'll get notified within a few minutes of them posting. Web based Twitter isn't anything great but if you use something like (twitterrific for mac) it's really great.

It depends which crowd you follow. Take a look at my (RustyFirestar) Following list - I'm more in the Mac geek/iPhone Developer crowd, not the Oprah Winfrey crowd.
