Does any of you have any idea how f'ing annoying it is to get the same question all the time? Do you want a buggy game or a good game? JUST WAIT!
I think the point is that there was total radio silence from Ubisoft. If the issue is technical, then they should absolutely delay and fix the problem. A lot of us have been looking forward to AC2 since the game was announced at the Apple event, and we were a little bewildered by the fact that the release date was missed without a single word from the dev.
Do you have any idea how f'ing annoying it is when someone makes a stupid comment without reading the thread first? Read the thread before you make asinine comments. It's not about releasing a game before it's ready. You'd know that if you read before opening your yap.
Owned. But sizzla is right, you should read the thread before commenting. Also, thanks to eggz and sizzla for getting a reply from a Ubisoft Rep.
FYI: I read the thread. Telling everyone to retweet a question is really annoying for a developer. It's out when it hits the App Store. Done. OMG.
This looks like total crap for iPod. But so fking fun on my xbox360. Didn't get #2 yet for my xbox. I sold it because there wasn't any free play to roam around killing random guards after I beat the game..
I can understand delaying(or even cancelling) the game for any technical or financial reason but to miss the launch date and dont even make a statement that it`s been delayed/cancelled for some reason is not something I expect from someone like Ubisoft. Right now we have no idea about whats going on, as all we have so far is that one announcement at the Apple Event which says it`ll be out alongside the console release. Which obviously didnt happen. Not exactly sure why you`d have a problem if anyone tries to contact them to get some sort of response.
From what we've seen of the game, Assassins Creed 2 has little or nothing to do with the first one. AC2 for the iPhone (and DS) is basically an 2.5D action platformer/sidescroller. If you're willing to accept the fact that they're not trying to recreate the open-world experience of the console game, it actually looks pretty amazing.
maybe they decided to make the iPhone version not a sidescroller anymore it will now be like the PSP version
Yeah and I am the next president of the EU Seriously though, I don't know why they didn't make an iPhone version similar to the PSP one. The planned one for the iPhone looks alright, but they could of done a whole lot more. The iPhone is easily capable of PSP level graphics and beyond. It is a missed opportunity and possibly a misunderestimation (to quote G Bush ) of the iPhone's/iPod Touch's power. Nevermind, we still have plenty more great quality games coming our way (Gameloft comes to mind)
LOL I always laugh at the amount bias and acclaim for iPod in your posts. You really think the iPod's a better gaming device? The PSP was BUILT for gaming, the iPod wasn't, there's a difference. They COULD've done more, but, why waste money catering to such a casual market? If it's not .99c it will obviously not stay in the Top Lists for a long time. Do you REALLY think it will be that simple to port a game with such a complex control system to a purely Touch Screen device that runs a memory hog of an OS, without stripping away a cartload of features? The game was already a pain to control on the PSP let alone its console cousins. The DS version has much better gameplay, compared to the PSP's version, for your information; I'm glad Ubisoft made a great choice. +1
Not as much as you think. For many games the PSP is the better choice (platformers, Soul Calibur, things like that). But, for an equal number, the touchscreen on the iPhone makes it a better choice (Tower Defense games, Card games, Slay, Pipe Mania, etc). To put it another way, the PC wasn't built for gaming either, but I think they have managed to get some pretty good games on it. Tell that to the authors of The Sims, Bejeweled, Tetris, Scrabble, Uno, Rock Band, Need for Speed, Madden NFL, Modern Combat, Oregon Trail, Bookroom, Real Racing, Fieldrunners, and many others. All are premium priced, and all have been in the Top Lists pretty much non-stop since their release. While I agree with you about the control system, the original iphone had twice as much memory as the PSP, and the 3GS has four times as much. The control system for AC2 is going to be hard to do on the iPhone, but leaving aside the buttons issue, the iPhone is at least as capable a game platforms as the PSP. Michael
...........Big Budget games aren't going to come to small-paying customers, to a device used most by Businessmen.
Small paying customers who happen to be Businessmen Btw, Businessmen are`nt the majority of iPhone user base. Not even close. Where do you get your facts from?
Do you even like the idevice? It seems to me that you only post to downplay the idevice and glorify the ds/psp. Why even bother to register at TA?
ok,here we go again this is about Assassin's creed 2,or i mean the delay of its release anyway,i think registered members of TA should only be for iDevice lovers those who hates iGaming should not even be here
