Doesn't make sense at all. The iPhone version isn't this super huge complex game involving innovative, revolutionary add-on technology. It's just a spit-and-shine version of AC II on the DS.
Actually, I wouldn't be so sure: The iPhone version of the game is, from what I understand, alot more like the game for the DS wich is out now. Edit: didn't read the post above! Sorry, I didn'T relaod the tab! |
?? The Apple approval process is not easy. They don't have a single game in the store. Either it took longer to develop than they expected or they are holding it back to release it later. Which is more likely?
I reckon the cause behind the delay is the same as what pushed GTA:CW's release date months later than it's psp counterpart: In order to justify the 9.99 price point on Appstore. http://au.ds.ign.com/articles/102/1028245p1.html NDS price: $29.99 I think this reason is solely enough for the whole delay and silence from ubisoft.
But this is a different situation because they never announced that GTA was coming out on the same day as the console versions. I could buy your explanation if they hadn't announced at a press conference that it was being released at console launch. They just need to make an announcement one way or the other. It just seems incredibly arrogant to not respond at all.
jeeze Tons of people rip on gameloft but at least they get their games out on time. I was disappointed to see that ubisoft was doing this rather than gameloft in the beginning and now I am really pissed that they are not even telling us why they are so damn late! I was ready to buy this right when it came out and I was on the comp like all day refreshing to see if it was on the appstore but now I dont even know if I want it.
Ubisoft will make a better game I think ubisoft will make a better game than what gameloft did you can see by the trailer
The graphics look a little better but thats just because its a side-scroller. Gameloft has been improving graphics a lot and making more complete games. I would way rather see a fully 3D game like Gangstar for assassins creed. Gameloft could pull that off I think and its time to start seeing major improvements in big title games on the ipod touch. Screw GTA china town wars, I want to see a game like the one on the psp from rockstar. You know what I'm saying? im just tired of little games (especially if they are being delayed).

Really? I can't wait. Maybe they were going to release it for Thanksgiving, after everyone had bought AC2 for the consoles. Maybe a release tomorrow I am hoping..
