Dont get me wrong 7 was fun but 8 is soooooo much better. Music is better, tracks are better and gameplay is better... its better.
Started to download this, then I went into the App Store to read some reviews and saw the huge iap list. download cancelled, no thank you.
This is one game where the IAP is not required. It's the same as Asphalt 7. If the IAP was bad here, I'd be one of the many crying foul.
free in singapore app store! was expecting it to drop free, but not this soon! great weekend deal nonetheless! have fun ppl! on a side note, anyone having slight lag running this on a 4s?
more sales and why $5? now they need to make Asphalt 5 & 6 FREE or $1.... unless those are the the best versions mabe a Dungeon Hunter $1 sale and why is The Oregon Trail $5?
How often do you want to repeat this lie? It doesn't become more true even when you repeat it another three million times in each Asphalt thread. Asphalt 7: Heat was the best iOS action game at it's time and it's still highly recommended. Better be thankful that you got A8 for free.
It's not a lie. It's the truth, glitchy broken game with graphics problem and no retina display. The handling wasn't that great either. A8 and A6 is SO much better. Only thing I dislike about A8 is the multiple paths which each have a huge difference.
Okay. Then all the 4,200+ users (in US App Store alone) that rated Asphalt 7 with an average of 4.5/5 are lying. Some touchArcade regulars are lying. I am lying. Come on… Clearly more fun. Almost open world.
I agree with Habakuk, Asphalt 7 was a great game. I do think Asphalt 8 is much better though, and to me personally, it is one of the best ios games that currently exist. And easily the best ios driving game. Just do some jumps, cruise through the tunnels, and slam into the cars during knockdown races. An awesome experience, super highly recommended!
Not sure what all the fuss is about. I bought asphalt 7 for 99 cents and loved it for a month or so. Now I have #8 and its just as cool. People seem to forget sometimes that we are debating iOS games. Last time I checked, wasnt the primary use for this device a PHONE??? Maybe it's because I grew up in the days of Game Boy, but I marvel at the fact every day that I can use my phone for games!
I grew up with 8 and 16 bit games. Getting stuff like this on a device that is a phone, music player, Internet browser, daily organizer, heck even an alarm clock... Is amazing. Getting games like this for $1 or free... It boggles the mind. Even my best bargain bin game shopping days didn't yield these kinds of deals.
Which is exactly the same argument as "I grew up in the time of carriages! You fancy kids with engines and wheels and what, doors? You've got it easy, stupid whipper snappers!" Don't get me wrong, I agree. I remember how awesome I felt as a teenager with a super basic lame electric planner where I could store a few numbers and other things. When my friends helped me program arkanoid on my TI-81, well I was in heaven. But! We should not just settle, either. Just because we didn't have it doesn't mean that we shouldn't work to better things, just that we should try to do it in a respectful and tactful manner.
