  1. Bottom left, where it says world series, hit that button.

Lady Connectrice :D and Sir Rippy told you where you can find online multiplayer. If it's local multiplayer what you're looking for: The row at the right side of the main menu—far at the bottom (scroll down). (Could be easier to access, GL.)

Are we the only ones in the world playing local multiplayer? (Anyone? Gameloft_Ryan? Plz try to find a co-worker at your HUGE company.) For us it's the GREATEST fun in ANY racing game. The career mode is 5% of the gameplay, and local mp is 95%. Endless fun. Never the same two situations at anytime. An always new fight for milliseconds!!! No cheaters, no waiting until a race starts (although that works pretty quick in A8's online mp).

If you don't own more than one iOS device (and can invite somebody for a local race right now): Find somebody with an iOS device. Shouldn't be that difficult nowadays. Tell him or her to download Asphalt 8 for free. If you've progressed in A8 already: Maybe log in with YOUR Game Center acccount (on your local friend's device), so both of you have the same cars and upgrades. Caution: I didn't test if you can change GC account later; Rippy needs to test that because he is an Cloud/Saving expert. (Maybe there are even more benefits with account changing, even for non-local-mplayers; can we create something like a "second" or "fake" GC account p.e.? And use that as some sort of player slots/registers?) If both (or more) devices have fresh A8 installs you can race with the first cars of all classes without needing to buy them first (and no need for a foreign or fake GC account).

Log in the same WiFi. Fire up local mp it's done in 30sec. 3 – 2 – 1 – GO!

The best situation is when all players have about the same skills and drive the same cars with the same upgrades. When your buddy is new to A8 and you are experienced: Give him or her some advices first in some test races. Let him drive behind you and just show her all the shortcuts. Be fair. Take a weaker car when it comes to the races which count in your local statistics.

Since there are no records inside A8 for local mp (exception: some achievements) we are always writing down on a sheet of real paper who won most races and who got the best time in a session or for all times (could be automatic, GL).

This will probably be buried or has been requested before but can you guys make the brake button for Tap to Steer controls bigger (wider)? It would be nice if it covers the entire bottom area of the screen.

The Survolt is great for being my first B class car. Wonder what it will be like upgraded!? Can't wait.

Man, reversed tracks are so cool. I thought the Iceland track was kind of boring - my least favourite - but reverse... The caves are so neat.

  5. You beckoned your highness? :D

You know, I don't understand, but all of my friends either say they don't game on their iphones or ipads, or they play casual games like Angry Birds or Candy Crush.

    I don't get it. I really don't.

But my friends love to play with my icade core, and we are playing alot of one ipad games like Badlands, Multiponk, Wrestle Jump, Tug the Table, air hockey, etc.

    Go figure.

I think I need two devices that play A8 will do good, like having an ipad 3 and ipad 5, then I can play with a friend with no setup using 2 gc accounts. I can't do it currently cause my iphone 4 only has 8gb and is full, so no disk space.

That's the problem: there's nothing in the bottom left of the menu. There is the column on the right, my car on the left, and nothing else.

Never heard that before. Obviously something is wrong with your copy. Please make a screenshot of the main menu and post it here. Thx.

Public multiplayer, (World Series), ought to be in the bottom left like this:

Then, scroll down on the right half of the screen, and at the bottom right, Local Wifi Race ought to appear like this:

  9. This is how it should look. Did you login to Gamecenter before loading? Otherwise, try turning your ipad on and off, if that doesn't work, reinstall.

    Good point!
    Didn't think of that. #
The poster didn't specify which device he was playing on, but it's very likely that's the problem.

Yeah, only one star left to go for Season two. I just need to get the Camaro and win the race with it. Twelve cars, soon to be 13. 169 stars, Season four unlocked so far.

Thanks bud I went for the Veneno - worried that because it was so cheap it wasn't going to cut it but so far it's doing the business!

So convince them please. Should be easy. Obviously female friends. I have several female friends here (also co-workers) who learned to love racing games. And two of them are surprisingly good. And all of them love Asphalt because it's sooo pretty to watch. The tracks are exotic. The girls love to make slow sightseeing tours through London and Venice just for watching. First. Then they are racing…

I understand. Good luck for your iPad 5 (128 GB)!

Forgot that, too. That's OP's (who didn't read app description) problem for sure. Made a little screenshot of my good ol' iPhone 4's installment of A8 (not synced with my GC account):

No online mp. (BUT local multiplayer "LOCAL WiFi RACE"!)

BTW I've created another Game Center account (months earlier together with my "second home" US iTunes account). It's pretty easy. You can create (as many as you want obviously, just need a different email address) and switch them via the Game Center app (even without another iTunes account—those are not connected in any shape obviously). Asphalt 8 will ask on startup: "Your account conflicts with the one stored on the device. Switch to this… or keep this…?"

So it's possible to run Asphalt 8 with different Game Center accounts on the same device! Kind of register/slots for multiple users. Thanks, Apple! Maybe that's obvious for the most iOS users here (anyone?) but I didn't know that it's possible until now. You can switch GC accounts and iTunes accounts (the latter I knew already before).

Could be handy if somebody wants to test different upgrade strategies. But please be cautious because that needs more testing.

So am I the only one having trouble playing multiplayer these days? Hardly anyone else shows up in the rooms and the game never starts even if I wait for 15 minutes.

It has been like this for three to four days now.

Sorry for you. Tried two online multiplayer games right now and I had to wait 20 seconds (won both btw, class S with the Lambo). I am playing this mode once or twice a day and never had problems finding a game within max. 1 minute, on very rare occasions 1 minute 30 seconds. Mostly with 6–8 players.

I never had problems finding games in online multiplayer as well (Using an A class car). Maybe the problem here is that you're using a low end car, and the game has a hard time trying to find "fair" games for you? I'm not sure.

That's fantastic! A game of the EAR! :D I guess it's because it's a phone game, right? (Just a silly joke with your typo :D)

Depends on the amount of real money you want to spend on the game. From my experience, with the $1 of the game and smart car buying, you'll begin to grind for cars around season 4-5, which will allow to unlock up to season 8 fairly quickly.

For the $10 of the game and the D and C car packs, you'll begin to grind well after you reach season 8. I began grinding with C and D car packs, 5 cars from B class, 5 cars from A class and 2 cars from S class.

You can find posts in this thread with the cars which we find are very good in each class and allow you to advance a lot. I remember the C7 from A class and the Veneno from S class offer a lot of advance without spending too many coins, and are mentioned a lot as very good cheap cars.
