Unlocked season 8 today!?!? I thought I didn't have too much time to play this game, but I guess I have it. I already unlocked season 8... twice, the first time with no IAP and the second time, after I resetted my progress and bought the car packs
Wow you are really great! With ALL stars (900 I believe)? Before you accomplish the Seasons mode for the third time please try ONE local multiplayer game with somebody who has about the same skills and exactly the same (upgraded) cars. It's a BLAST and ten times more fun than career mode (which is better than any career mode I played before) believe me. Much more fun than online multiplayer with all those "rank 99" cheaters! I had almost NO time to play (and enjoyed 4–6 hours with local multiplayer what doesn't count for credits and ranks), tested and reviewed 40+ other iOS games and apps (Cubasis!), then all that hype about iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iOS 7, some job in real life… I'd LOVE to have much more time for Asphalt 8 believe me. There are only 11+ months until A9. Little time for A8!

Has it been confirmed when is the update? Really want new cars and tracks. Those reversed tracks are too much fun.
Nope, no confirmation on when the next update will be coming. Waiting on that info and what's included in the update at the moment.
Grinding tips Sorry if this has already been covered but I searched the thread and couldn't find it. What are the best races in each season for grinding? I know it probably depends on the cars you own so I guess what I'm asking is which race in each season has the best combination of shortest time and most gold earned assuming you win? Any other grinding tips? More barrel rolls? More knockdowns? More air time?
Any versus match are generally good. They are quick and uncomplicated. Whatever is the farthest season you've unlocked and whatever is your max car that has a versus race. And adding ghost times to race against is very useful. Be sure and pick a time from your friends list that you can beat.
Yesterday, I was racing on a Barcelona track and I hit another racer just before a jump and it slowed me down so much I went into the water during the jump. The game said something like, "No time to go swimming." Pretty funny.
Wut. He had me beaten on exactly one race the last time I checked.. Only one who had/has me consistently beat was Rip in his epic pimped Italia I don't think the friends list ranking has anything to do with times. And times are the only thing I give a damn about.
Well, I was able to log on for the first time today to see all of my friends rankings, and Hoggy is #1, killjoy #24.... Call it however you want killjoy, but after seeing page after page of people beating your ghost scores, and seeing you ranked #24 out of my friends with so much playing time, you would have to admit this looks really bad. Especially how kj is so harsh on females, and three females on my friends list are higher ranked than him. Say what you want kj, that is what is what it is.
I just have 752 stars. I'm now grinding against ghost racers to buy the missing cars towards 100% completion. I've played online multiplayer several times and haven't raced against the rank 99 cheaters you mention. In fact, I enjoyed online racing a lot all the times I played. Btw, I also have some job in real life. I guess the difference is I just bought and played A8 in the last weeks
Played a bit more local mp and changed often between iPad 3 and iPad 4. Sometimes some elements (p. e. nitro bottles) are popping up a tiny bit later in the distance on iPad 3. Can't await playing it on iPad 5 later this year with the shiny new A7 processor (I'll be stuck with my iPhone 5 because I'm in the midst of a 2-years-contract). Must be a beast of a machine. Quote by Apple: I am pretty sure that Gameloft will update Asphalt 8 for the new A7 chip as soon as possible. Asphalt 7 was the first third party software that was updated for the iPhone 5's 16:9 screen. There won't be just Inifinity Blade 3 with new features. You can see the "tiny update" like this but for us gamers (and musicians) it's a really big step.
@comnector That friends ranking is ONLY based on multiplayer. I'll say that again ONLY BASED ON MULTIPLAYER. Know that's cleared up, just because someone has played more multiplayer matches doesn't make them a better player. I have said it before but this "who's the best driver" stuff doesn't mean a thing until we are able to race friends in a multiplayer, and the races are done with sock cars. Oh and btw if you do think that friends ranking is the best representation then I think Rip is actually #1, as he is highest on my list (and Hoggy is on mine too) (Ps not being rude, just getting a bit fed up of this 'I am best' 'no i am' chatter as we can't actually tell atm)
