The fact that it has a lot of IAP doesn't mean that you need to buy any, it all depends on what you expect. To make things short (already debated here a few pages back), I got a great experience with the $1 entry fee and a much better experience buying D an C car packs. That's around $10 for a fantastic game, much cheaper than an XBox or PS3 game. And... No, it's nothing like A7 aside from visual similarities.
xbox and ps3 dont have IAPs and are much better quality as well as more content. $10 is rip off for something like this. If you only knew about STEAM...
It's not $10, it's $1, IAP is completely optional, and I assure you that you won't find a racing game in this quality on Xbox or ps3 for 1$! This is the best arcade racing game on iOS in my opinion, and the very fact that you slag it of like you do strongly suggest that you haven't played the game at all. I bought the two cheap car packs too, but only to support the developers, not because it was necessary, in my first play through I made it to season 6 without buying anything at all. Yes, there's better racing games on consoles, but they cost a LOT more, and you can't play them on the train.
A week ago I would have said GTR, but after buying the 458 a couple of days ago I changed my mind. definitley get the 458, you may need to do the 1st level upgrade but after that it's amazing
Definitely get the 458 Italia, add me up on gamecenter, my ID is Darklord1012, if you are buying the 458, i am still trying to beat rip73 timings, but his 458 is maxed out or i think 1 upgrade is left. I still need top speed(Level 5) upgrade but its a whopping 45k, and 2 upgrades of nitro. Phew, grinding a lot.
The $10 refers to my comment, because I was talking about the $1 for the game + the D and C car packs, which is what I've spent on the game.
I realize that, I was just pointing out to the poster that IAP's wasn't necessary to complete the game. I ended up buying the two cheapest car packs too, but that was because I wanted to support the developers, and also because I wanted to try a different strategy and start the game over. By buying the car packs I speeded the progress up.
Feelin' the IAP again, daaamn. So I have 25k in the bank, trouble winning at B races, bought Maserati, not really satisfied but it was a substitute until I finally get the GTR, so then, finished a couple of races that gave me 25k again, then I couldn't find a better way to get money because races are either completed or hard to complete, so I then find the quickest race so I get the quickest cash, Season 4 first race, 25k left, up and grinding. Seriously, grinding isn't fun, especially when the car you're getting is just performance but not appearance (no offense killjoy), I got EXTREMELY bored while grinding, but at least I got that one already.. Now I gotta get that S4 or 370Z. You're gonna tell me to buy car packs so this will be a $6.99 premium game, but no, once you pay for the game, that's it! You're just reminding me again that this is an IAP game (not freemium, so chill). That statement sounds completely stupid.. But yeah.
I have felt it once so far whilst I was saving for the GTR. I think I have almost got to the point again where I need a better class A, and a better upgraded class C. Although I have unlocked some more races in season 7 so they are Tiding me over for now. I think a lot of my 'grinding' would be not required if I made some better car choices through the game. For example I wouldn't have bought the GTR as the 458 is a better car IMO, and I wouldn't have bought the cheapest Aston Martin (not sure what one it is) because it sucks.
Yeah, with the two cheapest car packs you speed up the progress just enough to think about grinding to buy all the cars in the game. Nonetheless, you still have to grind a lot for that. The 325,000c for the Mercedes electric car is just insane...
Unlocked Season 8/8 Airborne today: 39/71 Trophies. 27/47 cars. 554 stars. Completed with all stars: Season 1 (60/60), 2 (75/75) and 4 (105/105). Season 3: 78/90. 5: 77/120. 6: 100/135. 7: 58/150. 61% of career mode according to in-app info. Never had that fun in a career mode of the Asphalt series before! (Didn't buy any IAPs; no grinding, although I had to race some events more than once, max. 20.) Compare to how I unlocked Season 7 three days ago.
You've just gotta purchase wisely, really. Screw up and you're stuck grinding for a bit. This could be alleviated by selling cars, but doubt that's gonna happen.
Yes. Two or three times I regretted having bought a specific car and wished I just could undo or sell.
