    @Sunfox
The lag you are having while playing first time a map, I'm also having this but only on my windows phone and I always thought this was my phones fault cuz its low end.
Your 30 minutes crash seems to be related to Windows update, Windows store, Live tiles checking for updates.

You mean you're still having that - on the phone? Could be they didn't fix it on the phone version. My tablet isn't exactly high-end, but the only update to ever do that was the Huracan one, and it's back to smooth playing now.

A few spots with extremely bad pauses included just before the sharp right turn in Dubai, and just before you exit the sewer on Tokyo. Although I first noticed the issue on Nevada, which was the first multiplayer cup on the new update. On my first run through, I'd literally pause in like 5 or 6 different spots, but most other players would keep going and I'd lose significant time. However on my next runs I wouldn't pause, but I could see on the map that others were. So it was a universal issue.

Got so bad that before I'd run any multiplayer or timed event, I'd play the map once just so I wouldn't have that issue when it counted. However A8 can't stay running in suspend mode for very long before its massive network issues force you to restart it (5000/6000 errors) so the problem kept cropping up numerous times each day.

The issue still exists on my Windows phone, sometimes manifests on first run, its random.
I only play on phone when I first wake up to use fuel on MP TLE, but my skills are $hlt on phone. :D

I haven't bought a Geely GC9 or even a Ferrari 308 but I got my 370Z single tanked down to 1.15.801 for the hot shot D cup in sector 8. I wonder if it is even possible to do it single tanked in the Nissan (1.15.000). I tried the mustang but it can't handle the corkscrew. With extra tank I could do it easy but that's not my goal.

I've noticed that in the countdown cup's second event the top four spots are using the not yet released Toyota Supra RZ (mark IV) max/proed.WTF?.. I wonder how they got them?

Hackers. And they wouldn't have the balls to hack so blatantly if GameLoft honestly didn't care.

I don't know if they hacked for them more probably a GL "gift" to settle some grievance like when killer and barbus got Enzo's before their release...BUT the third event is filled with hackers in SD with no crash/respawn racers in every race making sure you spend extra fuel getting 2000 points...:/

The 2000 points criterion for the Countdown Cup is unfortunate, to say the least, given the event's points progression. Unless you have more or less unlimited refills, 2000 points are difficult to achieve as it is. And when you don't happen to live in one of Gameloft's favorite time zones (*), it's even worse, because you'll spend a considerable part of the event's duration celebrating the new year.

Oh well, middle finger acknowledged. An unhappy new year to you as well, Gameloft! :D

(*) Gameloft is European, but they clearly don't like Europe much. And they seem to like Asia even less.

I'm going to agree with Running Bird: the 2000 points goal is unattainable without using significant fuel refills. The goal should have been set at 1900 points, or even 1800.

When things started looking very iffy, I began tracking my points progression.

    Start: 1572 points

    1st/8: 1628 (+56, 8 points per car)
    1st/8: 1676 (+48, 6.86 points per car, -14.25%)
    1st/6: 1706 (+30, 6 points per car, -12.5%)
    1st/8: 1743 (+37, 5.29 points per car, -11.8%)

    1st/8: 1775 (+32, 4.57 points per car, -13.6%)
    2nd/7: 1796 (+21, 4.2 points per car, -8.1%)
    3rd/8: 1815 (+19, 3.8 points per car, -9.5%)

    3rd/8: 1832 (+17, 3.4 points per car, -10.5%)
    7th/8: 1837 (+5, 5 points per car, irregularity)
    1st/6: 1852 (+15, 3 points per car, -11.8% ignoring above)

    2nd/8: 1869 (+17, 2.83 points per car, -5.6%)
    2nd/8: 1884 (+15, 2.5 points per car, -11.7%)
    3rd/8: 1895 (+11, 2.2 points per car, -12.0%)

After my last race posted above, I stood at 32nd on Windows, so I'm doing better than most. However, using the points reduction average of 10-12% per race, and extrapolating how many points I can possible earn if I don't sleep until the cup ends and use every possible fuel refill, and beat at least 5 cars in every single race... I run out of fuel at 1973 points. And that assumes it's impossible to gain less than 1 point per race, which if you remember the recent messed up cup, has been proven incorrect. After reaching 1973 points, it will take NINE fuel refills - that's 27 races at one point per race - to reach 2000 points.

This is impossible! And DIRTY POOL by GameLoft to put such an onerous requirement on the very last component of an otherwise very reasonable cup.

I really think the points goal should be corrected to 1900 points, or perhaps even 1800 points. After all - we're celebrating the end of 2015... why disappoint a whole bunch of people like this??

    @Sunfox
You get a number of points per car and a bonus for 3rd, 2nd, 1st and more points if you beat players with more points.
I still think I can do it without buying fuel, but who knows, I can do 20 more races until the end and I need 115 points, It's gonna be close.

Even if a few (very very few) manage to get 2000 points without using refills, this cup is still a scam. It has you believe you'll be able to do it and you end up wasting fuel you could have used on other cups (including another MPE).
To do this on a December 31, when most people won't be able to play all day long, is an extremely weird way of wishing players a happy New Year from Gameloft.

Yeah, I think that's the worst part of it. Those who were maybe marginal on the other cup decide this would be a better use of fuel - but then because this cup is impossible, not only do they get little for their time, but they've screwed themselves out of a better placement on the other cup.

I haven't even run the new year's or C-class cup because 100% of my fuel since the minute this cup began has been going to this!

I'll have to join you all on this. I'm playing on iOS, and I currently have 1,987 points with 3 hours and 12 minute left. I thought it was going to be of medium difficulty at first, but it was beyond difficult. I got 1st out of 7 on the last race, and was only awarded 6 points. I haven't bought any refills, but I had to play nearly 24 hours just to get 250 Tokens from this cup.

It's ridiculous. It seems like it is easier to earn points on iOS, but it still doesn't excuse how ridiculous this event is. I'm not the type to celebrate events like this, and I'm a teenager. I do not have any familial responsibilities. However, what about other people that actually want to celebrate the countdown with their family? What about the parents who would like to take their children on a ride, and enjoy this joyous day?

Sigh. First, we have the R&D. Frustrating events that are technically free, but are made to siphon as much money as possible from players that are not well prepared. Then we have overpriced deals - the most recent example being the 14,500 Tokens Christmas Box. Now we got an event that forces you to spend a lot on refills or literally play 24 hours to get some Tokens.

Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful that GL has been giving lots of Tokens lately. However, there is no need to hide the nature of this event. The team could have set the goal as 5000-8000 (not sure what would be accurate equivalent) with a normal points system. At least they'll be aware of what they're getting into. Setting one of the goals as 2000 points with a steep curve in the points system is just plain mockery.

Fabien, if you are reading this, then I apologize for the fact that you have to take all these comments in. I hope that everyone at Gameloft can have a happy holiday, but please let the team know that this type of marketing is likely to strain the consumer-company relationship. I know. The priority is to fish out the "whales". Since the whales are always the main target in freemium games, I guess other players are not taken into consideration when making new events. At the very least, I would like to believe otherwise. Sigh.

Samhiuy, there is also the fact that it was a 3 days cup, that the first 2 days were incredibly easy so everyone thought the 2000 points goal would be quite easy as well, maybe a bit more challenging, but nothing like this. So it was either a huge blunder by Gameloft or a complete scam.

I probably could have done it, but I quit at 1846 points, knowing I would have had to play until the very end and maybe buy refills to do it.

I finished with 3 hours to go. 15 hours of fuel went into this cup.
At least I finished the cup in 2015. :D

HAPPY 2016 to everyone! (even Gameloft) :)

So, regarding the McLaren 570S, is it worth the 900K credits, or should I just go get the 675LT if I'm interested in getting a top of the line A class car? I must admit, seeing that the P1 has been outdone by a supposedly lesser special edition car and its more "everyday-oriented" sister is rather odd.

And what other cars should I Pro out or at least fully upgrade for the class sub-tier (Hotshot, Crackerjack etc.) events? I've got a lot of D and C Pro Kits ready to be used, and a massive backlog of boxes to clear.

Ah, the McLaren 570S. That reminds me, the Tag Race involving the 570S is glitched. It doesn't appear after you bought the car, and you simply can't play the race at all. The Triple Trials on Sector 8. Fabien, you should let the team know so that they can fix this.
