yeah! i made it past and am now in the final test of the first lab, without upgrading.. but that AI is really hard, spent 9 keys and still i finish behind.. it seems to take shortcuts etc that i miss
I started R&D 5 hours ago and I'm gonna finish lab 1 today. First 6 tests done with 6 keys. The car is already half maxed and half proed.
Even though it's easier this time around, it's not for beginners. You need the car at least at MAX + 4-4-4-4 to win the final ai. You get 94 cards from R&D and you need 134 to fully pro it. So technically, you "can" make it if you're willing to farm 5 million in order to pro and upgrade it, but even then you'll still need those 94 cards to be exactly what you need and not duplicates. The chances are 1/1,000,000 or worse.
You dont need 5 millions, you need less then 3 millions because you get 4 S class upgrades from R&D and proing is free, you only need the cards.
welp.. that's it for me. I can't beat the AI, the difference is far too big without upgrading - which the lowest cost now is 50k credits. considering i earn around 500 credits per repeatable race, that would mean around 100 races for 1 upgrade. The farming guides i searched, all talk about season 9. So i guess that's it. At least NFS No limit's Lamborghini event is doable even for beginners so far.
@ramzarules You dont need Season 9. You need a MAX&PRO car that has a rank of at least 1700 and you can farm in the Mastery 15 of that car.
True. I was calculating by adding the cost without the free upgrades. Still a fairly large amount, but not too big. Only about 4-5 hours with the survolt. Also, no, proing it is not free. I'm running about 89k+ for the second kit alone. On this average it should be about 1-1.2 million to pro it. If you save your upgrades for nitro and top speed it becomes around 2.9-3.1 million to max and pro the egoista on top of the mid and advanced tech it eats up which I'm averaging about 1 mid tech per R&D box so I'd imagine it would be hard to get the cards alone for a beginner.
I would consider adding a vote button, whether to close at 4 people or not. It is highly annoying when people bail out, even at 5-6 players, and if you react late, you just lose fuel. If you race, 3 players barely any points. While usually with good room leaving management 7 players get into a race in 20-30 seconds...
I'm glad I didn't start that then! I have some V10 cards and mid tech but I have 0 advanced tech and I'd have to farm from scratch. Knowing you have to upgrade pro max just to get the car is crazy, how I'd love to put in a few million and a lot of cards to not even get the car! Still curious how many more tokens it costs after the first 50. My pro/max ssc tuatara is doing good. That only cost 16 fi V8 but the 675lt is faster. I can get the jump at start and win some short tracks. My 675lt is 4/4/4/4 but I only just got it. I recently returned to the game with a 1709 tuatara so no point in not completing it, it has a good mastery. The fast acceleration makes up for its lower top speed in twisty tracks. Gets blown away in monaco, Tokyo, Iceland.
Not much of a fix, but if you're on iOS or android you can mash the places where the "X" and "get app" buttons usually are and the loading screen will close. Usually near the top right towards the center and bottom right near the center.
How is Pro'ing free? When I go to the Pro Kits page, each of the areas show a bunch of credits required to upgrade. It would be really nice to be able to 'delay' using the free upgrades to a car. I didn't realize I was getting a free upgrade, and was forced to use one on a level 0 to level 1 upgrade -- the least possible value I could get out of the card.
@mlibbey On my Pro kits page, instead of a few thousand credits it says 0. A friend of mine has the same. After I found out I would get a few free upgrades I upgraded the car as soon as possible. I still have to receive 2 free upgrades and I will use them to get top speed from 3 to 5.
Fabien, could your team look into a related issue: it seems all the pop-up ads that you recently introduced, apart from being very invasive, are also cheating us players. Basically they seem to count as any free token/free fuel refill ad. As a result, after some 5 minutes of playing (and seeing some 5 pop-up ads in this time) I am no longer able to use a free fuel refill. To be precise, the free refill ad stays highlighted and seems to be available, but does not work (sorry, no more ads at this time). Incidentally, pop-ups disappear after then, too. I don't care about token ads (1 token for watching 30-60 sec ad, laughable) but fuel refill is another story. Can you fix it?
Relating to the new, frequent Windows crashes. Every 30 minutes to the second after the first crash, the game crashes again, with the following entry in the Event Log: Paired with: And the referenced log says: In reading up on THAT error, it appears to be a problem with Gameloft's installation manifest file. Likely relates to a tasks package failing to reference the registered application correctly. So when a task they've configured goes to run at a designated time, it bombs out as invalid.
@Sunfox Don't want to burst your bubble but your quotes are useless. @Fabien I usually get 2 Application Error and one .NET Runtime. The data in the Application Error is always different but the data in .NET Runtime is always the same. Application Error, Event ID 1000, Task Category (100) .NET Runtime, Event ID 1026, Task Category None Event viewer is full of these errors. All this happens on a Windows 10 x64 Home PC.
It's more than enough to give them a push in the general area. OR to request further information if, for some reason, they're unable to replicate the issue like the rest of their installed player base. The most useful piece of information is that the errors are NOT random, and occur on a fixed, accurate schedule. And anyways - you know just as well as I that they're not going to do anything with EITHER of our posts. Want more reading on the errors I posted? Sound kinda familiar? Here's a whole article on the issue: http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/shair/2012/11/30/windowsbackgroundtasks-contract-or-is-not-installed/ I don't actually seem to be getting the error you're showing. Must be a completely different one. Mine are all Event ID 5973 and I have no 1000's relating to Asphalt. However I'm on Windows 8.1 x86, so the symptoms may differ.
@Sunfox Before Huracan update the game rarely crashed and never in a race. Less then once a week. Now after Egoista update it crashes a few times daily, when I launch the app but rarely in race. I tried different graphics settings but nothing changed. On top of the errors I already mentioned I also get Video driver stop responding and recovered which only sometimes kills the game, but this error is less frequent. I think all these errors we are having are caused by a multitude of programming mistakes made by Gameloft in Asphalt 8, by Microsoft in .NET Framework, drivers, apps and by Intel/Nvidia in their drivers. BTW: My game crashes randomly, not every 30 minutes.
Yeah, sounds like you're suffering from something different than me and some others (and maybe both at once). With the last Huracan update I never had crashes (especially not during a race), however I did have huge lurching pauses at very specific reproducible points in maps (some like 2 seconds long, but this only happened the first time I played a map). Those are now 100% gone - except now, I get the game bombing out exactly every 30 minutes due to some background task bug. And, sometimes it gets stuck on a non-loading popup ad. Mine never crashes when starting up... unless I start it up exactly at the time the crash is due to occur.
