Fabien, Your company took my stuff. I want it back. I actually believe your claim that the vanishing Mastery rewards was not intentional. Seriously, I do. If there is any company I expect to overlook this exact type of problem, it's Gameloft. Vanishing Mastery rewards isn't the sort of technical issue that has any potential to result in lost revenues, so it's easy to see how none of the developers were able to identify a potential issue. Of course, if you hadn't been stealthily lowering all the rewards in the first place... but that's another issue. The only time I have ever received a timely response with satisfactory compensation from your company was about four or five months ago after I filed a formal complaint with the local Better Business Bureau responsible for your U.S. development studio in Manhattan. I know the Gameloft NY studio has since been shut down and the 100 or so employees laid off... gamasutra.com/view/news/248096/Report_Gameloft_lays_off_staff_shutters_New_York_studio.php ... but you still have studios in San Fransisco that are registered with the local BBB there. I don't want to have to go through the hassle again, but of course I will. Obviously, I realize you are not personally responsible for the disgusting diarrhea your company has been blasting all over its customers for the past year or so, but please let your overlords know that the incredible racing experience in A8 is matched only by the incredible level of greed in their soulless corpses. Contact me privately, or don't. I've already prepared myself mentally to go through this whole song and dance again... # www.bbb.org/greater-san-francisco Sincerely, Sean L.
P.S. The Lamborghini Huricán thing is super shady. I especially loathe the surprise three-day cooldown after Lab1. Of course I can "unlock" Lab 2 for 1000 tokens. Of course, right? Of course. Actually, the cooldown itself isn't even a problem for me. The problem is that your company habitually withholds pertinent gameplay information in order to catch your unsuspecting players in honeypots, and then preys upon their uninformed decisions to maximize profits. This is very literally the kind of thing sociopaths do. #
To unlock laboratory 3 you have to pay 2000 tokens or wait 7 days. More than half of the total R&D event duration wasted waiting. At the end obviously you will have very low chances to get the car in such short period of time. Yet they say: "You can get the Huracan for free"
I still get the fuel refill video but now it's only available for a short window every day. For me, that window is maybe a couple of hours around 5:00 UTC.
And all those upgrades cost and cards we spent on the lab car are wasted when the car will probably cost a ton of token? At least we got a few S cards out of it I guess.
Forwarding message from http://mobileforum.gameloft.com/forum_revamp/viewtopic.php?f=1505&t=278875 ATTENTION!!! DO NOT GO FOR THE R&D CHALLENGE. This is an advice for those who are running the R&D challenge. Unless you are willing to spend a bunch of tokens (and probably buy them with real money) is impossible to get the Huracan without spending only a few tokens. There`s this guy in the G+ community (which I encourage people to join) that got the Huracan and here`re his thoughts: "What I can say is that it is impossible to win the car through R&D without spending tokens. At the last tests you need to have 1000+ quality checks to complete just one test, straight ridiculous! R&D is just a token taker. I think that you atleast have to spend around 4000/5000 tokens if you're an advanced player. Lamborghini is hard to get. After the R&D ends the car will cost 11000 tokens, so be prepared to spend minimal 4000 tokens at least or just leave the car as a dream to good to be true. Car is useless anyways!" So if you are a pay to win player, or have enough tokens to spend go for it. If not, then use what GL gives you only get the tokens and credits.
REPOST It is possible to complete the R&D Event. UPDATE: Document is here - http://1drv.ms/1NcnD37 1) You need around 150 tries (if you get 11 Quality Checks each run) to complete all the tests. (You get 360 tries/keys for 15 days if you are on time) 2) Your car needs to be near Pro or Pro'd to beat the last challenge (watch video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DcN14PpPxE). 3) You need to collect around 1400+ Quality Checks in total from Test 1 to 30. 4) There are 6 AI races. 5) If you want to complete everything using Tokens alone, you need around 24000+ Tokens. My job here is done. By the way Fabien, can we get Decals for the following cars: Class D: Tesla Model S (This poor car has been forgotten for so long) Class B: Maserati GranTurismo Sport, Maserati MC12 Class A: Marussia B2, Jaguar C-X75, Nissan GT-R NISMO Class S: HTT Plethore LC 750, McLaren P1 GTR P.S. LET ME LOG IN TO GAMELOFT FORUMS PLEASE! It's so annoying when the "Connect" button isn't working anymore, and I can't log in with the normal means as well (it says I have exceeded the number of tries). I even tried resetting the password or making a new account, but I'm not receiving any emails. Is there something wrong with the forums?
360 if you have no job or school and wake up at midnight every 3 hrs, or share account with people on the other side of the planet. That also don't count the lab1->2 or 2->3 lock out time. What a joke.
Fabien, I still have no reply at all from customer care. Please PM me and let me know if you want me to resubmit again under a new ticket. If so, I will need the contact email for customer care. I have not played the game in almost 48 hours now and if I open the app just continue to get locked out at the update screen. I refuse to update until I get an answer and it's upsetting me, because I pro'd several cars (the marussia, etc.) to compete in upcoming cups on Monday and the rest of this week. I am already giving up several prizes because I am not competing this weekend (would have max pro'd the WRX by this morning if I had). Please get in touch with me. Thank you.
Had similiar situation 2 weeks ago, before it vanished completly only betweeen 1h and 2h MEZ. Deep in the night
Weird is that in the first screen 30 days time was announced. Once you start it's only 15 days. Anyhow, I expected that. Thus, I immediately bought lab 1. I will try to get the car just cheaper.
I think 30 days refer to the time you have to start the event, how long it will stay active. When you start it you have 15 days to complete it.
Reasonable theory. But it's again confusion of players as in both cases simply remaining time is shown. Anyhow, for those not being sure to go for it, some comments based my present impressions. I estimate that one needs min. 110 races to complete - if one drives perfectly and has in each race perfect distribution of Q-checks (which needs unbeliebveable fortune). Usually I think one should better calculate with 130-150 races. As one gets 1 key/h this means this amount of h. If I reduce it by the waiting time of 10 days. There are 5 days with 24h left, i.e. 120h. So possible to win without spending token, but only for a perfect driving robot that doesn't need any sleep. Maybe GL made a mistake (see pics) and plan was 30 days. Conclusion: If you want to win that car, buy the 2 lab levels, at least the second one. Then time should be enough.
@Fabien - mastery rewards for the hardest achievable car in the entire game( Cadillac 16 concept) are crap... 5th mastery - 18 nitro starter / 10th mastery - 8 (!!!) nitro settings and 15th mastery - 16 double tank... Do you guys mind to change that? All the cars next to it (rank wise) on 10th mastery give tokens while this at 10th mastery give 8 nitro settings... Really???
Hey Fabien, I got a bunch of extra tanks and D-class upgrades today, and I'm pretty sure I have you to thank for it. So...thank you! Free upgrades aren't as valuable as unclaimed ones, because we can't save them for the really expensive upgrade stages, but I guess that's why you overcompensated for my D-class losses and gave me extra tanks I hadn't even won yet (as mentioned in my first private message, IIRC). Thanks again for taking the time to look into the issue and doing what I'm sure was the best you could do on short notice. (A real fix would probably require an Asphalt update.) You'll probably be swamped with similar requests over the next few days... PS: You private message inbox is full.
