Have people gone completely crazy in the APEX cup? I was twice in the race where I was the only non-triple boosted driver. And the sheer spite of some: people went out of the way to have me knocked-down (my BMW is not fully PRO, so not that difficult with PRO, triple boosted car) even if they knew they will immediately wreck themselves, too...
I got today's updated A8. I did see one new car but didn't see the 100s of updated Mastery events. Maybe that will come with additional changes. Looking forward to the new card boxes on offer in the TLEs. One new car you can get with licenses so that will be fun and just when I thought I was done farming for licenses. Oh well. Back at it.
Fabien, what's your opinion on Gameloft's decision to silently remove unclaimed Mastery rewards? A slew of upgrades and extra tanks have simply disappeared. Do you think that's something a company that has the slightest interest in coming across as trustworthy would do?
RB, what do you mean? I haven't updated yet, just doing a little last minute farming. I have two TLEs I haven't claimed, some pending boxes in kit inventory, and i haven't claimed any mastery rewards that included class upgrades (I have completed every possible race I could in mastery). Are you saying that if I update I will lose all that? Or are you just referencing the known reduction in ET rewards for camaro and Datsun?
I think some upgrades did disappeared. Those are the only ones I leave unclaimed, and I am supposed to have claimed all the boosters already. Yet, after I updated, there are these mysterious booster rewards left that I was supposed to have claimed long ago. I figure that the rewards might have been changed OR there are new rewards added. Onward to the positive part, I would like to offer my thanks for this update (even if it doesn't mean much). As seen from the image below, the Mastery event display on the bottom left is fixed and it displays properly. The black screen is just the game changing from scenery to scenery at the start of the race, so that's nothing to worry about. Thanks Gameloft Developers AND Fabien for delivering information to us all the time. P.S. I think you guys should add an A Class Mastery Car and place it before the Cadillac 16 Concept (It'll be weird to have it worth more licenses despite being weaker). We have one for each class except the A Class. EDIT: Actually, I don't even remember whether this was fixed long ago, or if it was only fixed in this update lol. My memory is pretty bad, but the thanks I have to offer is still there.
Okay, Fabien. Here's one to be explained. How exactly is this guy Sever Sh running the MP cup 3 hours 18 minutes after it ended? He jumped up above me AFTER I'd already claimed my prizes. I mean we all know how easy it is for cheaters to add themselves to leaderboards after a cup ends. But running a MP game requires server support on Gameloft's side, no?

Fabien, is the R&D a one-time sort of event? What happens if you fail to obtain the car after the event ends? Is it available for purchase in Tokens/Credits later on? Will the R&D Event repeat itself regularly to allow people a chance to obtain the car? Or the car will be unobtainable after the Event ends?
Sorry to hear there are problems with Mastery awards gone missing. I just checked and I didn't lose any unused upgrades in Mastery. And I do like the eight cards for 9000 credits. Nice upgrade. Been checking out this new challenge deal, not my cup of tea. It's what I hate about video games, but I'm in so deep, got to keep digging. Best of luck to everyone.
What platform is that please? Because the team did release a patch to avoid this kind of issue. Please let me know if this issue tends to disappear once you have updated the game. I think that this type of event will come back with each update. But yes, there will be just one R&D event for update 11.But if one day you buy it from the store, you will get the car WITH each upgrade that you have unlocked during the event. I don't know if the car will be available in the store right after the R&D event is over. Edit: It is still uncertain that the car ever appears in the store after the end of the event. We are considering several options.
Come on Fabien, do you really expect us to believe that this is some sort of mistake as your post suggests, rather than yet another shameless money grab by your company? This is one of the worst updates yet. No new maps, lots more rubbish and unnecessary cars, and more IAP-bait in this R&D mode. Speaking of the R&D mode, what happened to Asphalt being an arcade style game like you guys hype it to be? Can't remember any arcade games having so much crap to have to wade through just to keep up. You guys are doing a good job at turning off the very players that allow you to run around boasting about your app of the year awards. I've given GL so many chances in the hope that things will improve, not to mention a boatload of cash, but I won't be paying any more and from my extensive contacts in the game I can tell you that many other IAP players are doing the same. The mismanagement of this game by GL is a real tragedy, you don't even seem to know how lucky you have got with it. At its core, you have such a wonderful game that could have been one of the best racers ever made, but you've all been blinded by greed and the decision makers should be throughly ashamed of themselves. I'm certainly ashamed of myself for getting sucked in and supporting you for the past 9 months.
At least they added the tracks to quick race mode. Anyway, that is an example of why devs don't really show up anymore.

Mastery award s1 update turned to 3 nitro New r&d update had a great impact on mastery rewards. Not only extra tanks reduced but i also noticed lamborgini sesto was having s1 upgrade which turned now to 3 nitro .. what to say.
You gotta love those monetization designers. They never have enough when it's about destroying the integrity and the balance of a game. I swear this is the last game from GL that I will play. If Asphalt 9 it's not premium I am done with the Asphalt franchise.
Fabien, the replacement of rewards that we achieved, but have not claimed in the Mastery mode, by the cheap substitutes is an outrage, pure and simple. I just calculated the unclaimed Mastery upgrades for different classes of cars that I lost in the "update" and will send you a private message with details. if you want to make a full comparison for all cars, the Asphalt 8 wikia has all the details on the original Mastery rewards. In my personal case (83 cars before update) Gameloft wiped off 17 different upgrades from all classes I won in the Mastery mode but have not claimed yet. I calculated their credit value taking as a basis level 5 upgrades for top speed and nitro for the two most expensive cars (in terms of upgrade prices) in each class. The value of upgrades that Gameloft just took away from me is roughly 5.600.000 credits. I put the value in credits as despite our calls for changes, once you claim the upgrade reward you cannot decide when to use it, but just have to apply it the first time you make any upgrade. In other words, if you contemplate giving back a compensation, as you should if you consider yourselves a player-friendly company, I want to receive credits and not upgrades that I cannot use In the moment I want to.
