Would be interesting to know this. It is random at times. Sometimes if you hit a car from the rear with your front, in the air, you die. Other times, they die. The latter of the two usually happens when rear car has nitro or TK and car in front does not. A lot of times, if your car is against a wall and a car is squeezing you into it, you die. I know this: If you are being leaned on by another driver and hit your brake to try to get out, you die most, if not all, the time. It's like another force comes into play and that sets it over the edge. Triple-boost sideswipe is money 99 times out of 100. Extra tank helps because if you've got it the other guy doesn't, you can take them out. Triple boost is no guarantee. To me, TK vs. no TK is just as big as a factor.
For me, having worked pretty hard at Masters today to figure it out (but only through the 280Z), I need like 80 Mid-Techs, crap-ton of Forced Induction jobs and about 20 more V6s. It's just not even close. From there, I must have 80 S-class cards and 50 Advanced Techs but can't upgrade much without engines and Mid-Techs. Then, waiting for Ferrari fire sale to fill that gap, and then will need a bunch of other engines. That Cobra seems to be a winner in just about every configuration, and getting it means cards, jack and grinding. Along the way, some of the newer cars cost a ton of tokens to Max/Pro especially when you've picked Masters' rewards pretty thoroughly.
The cheating on the Windows S-class Crackerjack cup is getting bad. At least 10 of the top 13 times are obvious cheats.
A V8 engine CUP will be playable in Asphalt. I have mentioned that you guys are waiting for it, the Asphalt Team might enable it earlier. The Windows platform is probably the one where we fight the most against hackers. We are constantly improving our anti-hacking tools, and doing our best to punish them. They will end up banned. Don't hesitate to report any suspicious player to us on this thread of the official forum. We will release a new patch on Windows soon, I hope that it will improve the situation.
I do understand this, however what I'm seeing should not need to be reported: it's blatantly obvious to anyone who looks at the Top 100. We're now up to 16 out of the top 19 being obvious cheaters. Whether it's times 6 seconds faster than is even possible (using iOS with its much larger player base as a benchmark), colored or name lengths that are impossible on Windows, underupgraded or underboosted cars pulling times 2-3 second faster than the best can do on iOS... it seems that someone is determined that the Top 20 prize does not go to any legitimate player. While I have no hope of Top 20 anyways, sadly this situation does still affect me, because I know I'm going to miss out on tokens purely because of this sudden in-rush of cheaters. And as a paying customer, that saddens me.
This just proves Fabien is the best person to manage gameloft , he actually listens and communicates with the community which is more than most content managers do.
I wrote to CC but no answer. I play on Windows. Did I get robbed? The first 10 places are cheaters or am I going crazy? PS: Yesterday Gameloft announced on Facebook that the Jaguar F-TYPE R will be 50% off but I didn't get the discount, checked all day on PC and phone, but nothing.
Just saw this game featured in the new Apple TV announcement. Quite impressive for a 2 years old game that is still being treated as the graphic show case. But I guess it make sense since it is a new-ish OS so there is not a lot of apps ported over yet.
Hey guys, We have to tweak the game in order to be able to offer V8 boxes through cups. I hear that this will be possible in the upcoming update. The speed matters when the cars collide. Therefore, the rating of the nitro comes into play too. The collision angle have an impact on the result of the shock between the cars. If your car decelerate when attempting to knock down another one, you might get wrecked. Last but not least, there might be a slight difference between what you see and what hs really happened. This difference can be due to the quality of the Internet connection. I will dig into this, but as far as I know the Windows 8 and windows 10 players share the same server, and after checking the leader boards, I can tell you that we do not have this issue on windows 8. The Asphalt Team was very proud about this. Glad to know that you have noticed.
Thanks for this. But please tell them to include the Forced Induction V8 & V12 in there as well Fabien.
Fabien, did you happen to read the new private message that I sent to you a couple of days ago? A reply would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Yes, his screenshot is from the cheaterboard. You're aware that the Z/28 Free Try has moved thousands of Windows users over to the cheaterboard, just like it did on iOS some weeks ago, right? Many owners of the Z/28 noticed how within the first 24 hours after the Z/28 cup started, they improved by thousands of places in the Audi MPE, even without having to play. Anyways, his screenshot might be from the cheaterboard, but these screenshots are not. Here's the iOS "Back to School 2" leaderboard. I'm sure we can agree that with iOS's vastly greater player base, what we see here are the absolute best legitimate times possible (and I think some might say that even some of these top ones are suspicious). But, we're looking at low 1:05 at the best, and iOS is generally accepted to time marginally faster than Windows. And here's the Windows leaderboard right now. Comparing the two... do you see any problems? I sure do, and not just with the times. Let's not forget that the top prize only goes to 10 players. Can you say with any conviction that the top prizes here are going to anyone but blatant cheaters? Sure, we can - and have - reported many of these players before, but most are still here pulling the impossible week after week, while innocent users get thrown to the cheaterboard for a misconfiguration on your side. Plus, the folks at GameLoft can look at these leaderboards just as easily as us - and unlike us, can also get the details behind these players. Might I make a suggestion for the issue of times being inserted after a cup ends: assuming you're storing these records on a database server, can't you just timestamp when a record is added or updated? You timestamp multiplayer event "last times", so why not race times? That way when a cup ended 48 hours ago and someone's race time is 2 hours ago, you know their time was added later, and you can get rid of them.
@Sunfox I dont think they race after the TLE ends. I think they race with cheats get on the cheaterboard and then they claim the prizes after they get out of cheaterboard.
Interesting theory... but if that's right, then that's a serious but ultimately easy to fix programming flaw that needs to be addressed ASAP - because those cheaters, however they're being added to the main list, push anyone who hasn't claimed their prizes further and further down the list. And with dozens to hundreds of times being added hours to days after an event ends, that's stealing prizes from legitimate winners. Also, you can still collect all prizes while on the cheaterboard, so there's no need to wait to get back to the main board. I understand they're maybe talking about changing that, but we're talking about what's happening right now and for the past months. I base my theory partially on the fact that I have been pushed down places on MPE events before, and when that happens, I can sometimes find an equal number of users in the Top 100 with "last race times" that occurred hours after an event ended, that weren't there before. I'm not exactly sure how that happens.
In case you were wondering what the Windows "legit" leaderboard looks like now... The first time above 1:05 is 18th place.
Oh man, I just came here to say that you're the best! So there is a new update coming already? I wish I could get enough V8s/V6s to Pro my Camaro/Cobra before the update... Also need 15 more i6 cards sigh. Once upon a time, I wished for Asphalt 8 to have the most licensed cars in a racing game. Then, I realized that Gran Turismo 6 has 1,200 licensed cars. EDIT: Has anyone mentioned about the Exhaust Boxes only giving C/D Class Exhausts? Or suggested that it would be great to add Unplugged and Flawless in Solo Race Mode? Unplugged could work in MP as well.
