Yes, it would dumb it down, you're absolutely right Ryan. The thought and required decision making is a big draw to the game for my part anyway.
Agreed, I have made some bad decisions with the cars, and after that looked a bit harder at them all to make a better decision. Also it's sometimes more fun playing with an underpowered or low spec car. I still can't bring myself to buy a higher specd D car than my mini, although I really need to as I can't get top three in any if the D races anymore!
GUYS! DON'T DO THIS! I drove all the 47 cars. Koenigsegg Agera is fast but has no precision! The RUF RT 12 S (All Upgrades) is the best car of the game. Driveability 10/10 Maneuverability 10/10 Sense of Speed 10/10 http://youtu.be/dyGRNLsPSh4
Sure That dude on YouTube has zero ability and that RUF isn't upgraded. I imagined it with my skill, all the upgrades and bought that! I'm 100% HAPPY!
Because it's related somehow. I know. I just tried to be a tiny bit coquettish what doesn't suit to my character normally. No problem. It would be arrogant if I'd expect that anyone is interested in that software as I am. Maybe you'll find some time to try them out later. Highly recommended! Not only in terms of how an action game evolved and became awesome. Don't forget to play local multiplayer with Macs and iOS devices in the same race (A6)! It's a rare iOS/OS X technical speciality! I meant asking the community about details (p.e. how and where to drive) of the racing game that you're selling. That some of your co-workers created and developed. Never seen before. Anyway, it's good that some official person of Gameloft is present in tA's forums since some weeks. Missing since some years. Personally I hadn't any problems with those decisions in career mode in any of the Asphalt series. But I can't deny that I often have the feeling of wasting my time with that. Because I want to be on the asphalt soon. And not in a shop. I am inside some sort of shops all day long in real life. It's a world of shops. I don't need those shops in fantasy video games. But I can understand that devs want that we try out all of the carefully designed cars. That's just my honest personal opinion. I want to race as much as possible (because it's absolutely GREAT in A8) and not being distracted by other things. There should be a manager for that. Please have a look at Table Top Racing with a strictly scripted upgrade path. That's a tiny bit too much maybe. But it's the direction of that what I mean. As an option (with separate or NO Game Center scores). Other than that, if you read some postings of this very thread and in your own Gameloft Blog or forum, you'll find that the most questions are about buying cars, upgrading cars and what event to race next. I'd prefer to talk how you managed it to land or touch the double decker plane's top in Nevada. Little quiz: What's the first living being ever in the Asphalt series? Answer: Spoiler The Eagle in A8! But no fear: It can't be hurt. Did you know? You can make corkscrews with flat ramps as well. (Those single flat ramps that are standing alone.) Spoiler It's very, very hard but I accomplished it for two or three times. Drive on them just with a part of the car. Not completely. Without drifting. Two or three tires instead of four. But it's a heavy risk. If you're doing in wrong you'll crash. Thank you very much, Gameloft_Ryan. Very appreciated! Good luck with your new job and with Asphalt!!
I also agree with you all. Making good purchase decisions is also a great part of this game. That's why I reset my game progress after reaching season 8 and started from scratch with right decisions in mind
Definitely not you kj, you even think my posts are way too long. Habukuk's are like a PhD thesis. It must drive you crazy. But I will kind of agree with Habukuk, reading page after page of people beating anothers ghosts is kinda getting boring, and really beating ghosts really doesn't even paint a picture of who is really best. But reading the Habukuk/rip73 thing, the a7 contraversies, and other odd stuff in the last 2 days has made the thread more interesting once again.
Kj or anybody. Since I don't like having wifi on when I game unless there is some particular reason for it like mp, If one doesn't upload their ghosts when it prompts you, does that mean the ghost will never be uploaded? Or does all of your ghosts upload when one goes online? Thxs.
There is no Habakuk/Rip73 "thing". I merely made two posts (one of which I later edited for the sake of peace) requesting to stay on the topic of the title of the thread. That doesn't a "thing" make. Merely because Habakuk decided to react in a particular way is not my problem but the forum rules clearly state about staying on topic. And there may have been plenty of screens of ghost times (none by me personally) but they were still on topic and in direct relation the title game of the thread. And were meant as friendly banter. The rest of the thread contained requests and many useful guides for stars achieving and for suitable car purchases, very in topic again, which were getting lost and I merely requested on topic which is, again, in the rules. That doesn't make it a "thing" or "more interesting again". It's just following the forum rules. And to answer you're last question, you're times only upload after the race or if you add a ghost before replaying a race. On adding a ghost, before it downloads your friends list times for that race, it uploads you're own best time if it hasn't previously done it. On startup, it does connect to friends list and the like but I don't believe (or at least I've seen no evidence otherwise) it uploads all you're previous times at that stage as it appears the upload has to be triggered after playing a race or loading ghosts.
Can I get a recommendation for a C class car for my current situation? I have 13,274 credits which is almost enough for the 13,500 Camaro and I don't have much more patience for credit grinding. Will that car last me for a while or should I put in the time and build up 16,000 for the Ford Focus? I don't think the next car up is an option for me at 22,500. Thanks.
Which car is best for season 3&4 or if possible till 5 with upgrades. I am thinking of getting maserati.. I have 30000 credits now and i am on SEASON 3 beginning as of now.
Game Impressions Had to buy the Mini Cooper S Roadster because I wanted to complete some of the Season 6 events. And I must say the Mini is better than I thought! If I'd known that before I would have bought it earlier. Venice, Knockdown event (25 for three stars, 3 min.), bonus stars: perfect run (4), corkscrews (3). Made four stars (5,611 credits) in my first attempt. Needed some really tricky cheats for the three corkscrews (all stars now and even more credits). Tap/click for iPad 4 orig. res. Extremely narrow and intricate winding streets in Venice! Almost impossible to overtake, very hard to use nitro boosts. Take care!
Mini is perfect for Venice! I love my mini, kept it going till season six, had to upgrade and got te 350z to beat the latest Class D races. Not sure i have the corkscrew star for this one though, that must be fixed! Edit - btw that's a knockdown not elimination, and you just need to beat the other car to get three stars, if you hit 25 before the time limit I think you just win earlier. Hope that helps!
+1 There are only two corkscrew ramps in Venice if I remember correctly. #1: Using #1: #2 (much later): If you miss one (esp. the second one is extremely difficult to reach but you need it for enough nitro speed in the long straight road with all those flat ramps) it will be very hard if not impossible to accomplish the challenge. Here is how I cheated (in a separate race for that one star only): Spoiler Look for the first corkscrew ramp just one 90° turn before Piazza San Marco (sort of merry-go-around with the famous Campanile and Basilica). Make your jump and brrrrake! (I know it's hard to stop a car in Asphalt deliberately and keep it stopped because the view changes as soon as the car is stopped.) If you are skilled enough you don't even need to stop completely (brake shortly before stopping in short quick steps like an ABS computer). Most important: Turn around (not really easy but with the time it will be easier) and go back (against the correct direction, you need to agonize a blinking red x above your car), passing the ramp (untouched, of course) with some distance. It looks like this: Turn around once more and do the next two jumps this way. Easy to accomplish within the three minutes. Not a really complete sightseeing tour in Venice. (Feeling guilty anyway. But this one helped already in other/similar events.) Well, it's "Vernichtung" in my German-language edition (maybe for not mixing up k.o./knockout and knockdown)… (Corrected in the posting. Thx.) Thanks for your clarification! Do you know if there is some kind of a special gratification when you catch all FIVE stars in ONE racing event? (Then my little cheating would be absolutely useless.)
I've gotten all five stars at one time in a few events. I think the overall payout is bigger, that's all.
@habakuk - I don't actually know regarding the 5 stars thing. Would be worthwhile knowing as then we will know if it's better to keep trying to get all in one race or not. I just got that star, managed to do 2 barrel rolls on each ramp, with some nitro help Also glad to help (I remembered you saying English isnt your first language, and I can't say much in any other except "go over the bridge" in german but I can't write it!)
Got this for my droid and I gotta say, this is probably the best racer I've played on ios/android. The cars don't look as polished as compared to NFSMW but with the extra effects, lighting, smoke, and motion blur, it looks and feels a lot better. I've just about reached 60 odd stars, so I haven't gotten into the game as much but the gameplay is brilliant so far. The jumps are insane. The tracks are long. The takedowns are beautiful. If I was to rate them all, I'd say A7 - 5/10 RR3 - 7/10 NFSMW - 8.5/10 A8 - 9/10 Good job gameloft
