i dont get why the top players change divison even after they've already won the top prize.. elite welroy was in my division for the pro cup, he was first with his 1720 one:1 and i was 2nd with my 1713 vmax. He disappeared from the leaderboard during the final hours, and never re appeared. not that i'm complaining, i got the tokens for first instead. Is this switching leaderboard also done using TAS?
Ha, that's also happened to me, I jumped up two positions! Is there anything similar to TAS for Android? I see a lot of new guys appearing on the leaderboards lately which makes me suspect that something isn't right.
Maybe he got banned. I thought time-assisted speedrun (TAS) was for slowing everything down so you could exploit glitches and in A8, run better lines/lower lap times. I would hope that if it TAS is used to switch leaderboards, that it would be go by a different name. I'm not even sure TAS (for lower lap times) has actually ever been used in A8.
Hehe About barrel roll in Tokyo, I think a low jump is better, because you can do triple nitro and get extra speed. Of course it depends on the car; for example P4 can usually do a lower jump than VMAX, check this video: https://youtu.be/Bib6RItQDFc
Hello Fabien, That's nice to hear. I have to admit I was a bit worried. Some were web browsers game like Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliance and others were F2P MMOs. I don't think they were playable on phones, but rather on a PC/Mac. The web based F2P were probably accessible from a tablet but I can't tell. They all offered to make purchases by sending SMSes to pay for boosters or goodies with a price ranging from 5 to 50 or even more. This was very convenient and all the people I knew in the guilds, clans, etc... were making either small or big purchases, to have the edge over their opponents. The payment system on Asphalt 8 is not so convenient. You need to have a credit card registered via Google Marketplace, AppStore, Windows Store, Paypal, etc.., and not all players especially the young ones, have one at their disposal. But on the other hand they do have a phone with which they can send SMSes. Believe me or not, but on previous F2P I spent some $$ with the pay by phone system, but on Asphalt 8 so far I spent 0 bucks This is weird as GL already has an SMS payment system for mobile games purchase (I know that because I've bought a few ), but they don't use it for their own F2P which is rather strange.
@Fabien I have won the last two Ferraris in the past week (Windows 8.1) and both cups (all cups) would not let me claim. I would get error 5004 and I even had the Ferrari 612 cup disappear from the events menu. I have tried to contact cc but I have yet to get a reply. How'd you win the 9FF? Ok I really want to know who started this TAS thing changes your division as I've heard that comment before, even though it has no relation to it. There's no TAS for android as far as I know. Nope he's fine. TAS was to slow down laps and get insane times, I really wonder who thought it would change divisions too.
Whatever it is quite a few people do seem to change or gets removed from the Android leaderboard, I hope it's the latter. @Fabien, did I say thanks for doing a good job on the latest update. This new cloud sync feature is awesome. I don't think the cheaters can restore double tanks any more, I see a LOT fewer people using double tanks on multiplayer which is a relief. However I have a suggestion, I would like to sync an active double tank across devices, it doesn't at the moment. I get 2 hours of gameplay on my mobile before the battery runs out and would like to finish up on my tablet. I hope it's not abuseable?
One guy above me was removed for the last 5000 division cup in the last hour though he made a reasonable time 1:22:4xx with a 1709 One:1 in Iceland Reverse. Don't really know the mechanics at work there, but I'd guess he was probably removed for another reason than the time he posted for that specific cup.

It looks like multiple account cheating is still quite possible, judging by the results of the last 5000 players division cup. It is not so rampant as previously, though. This time around GL is also doing its job. After the race finished, I jumped up 17(!)places, from 69 to 52. For once, well done, GL.
But active boosters ase synced between devices. If I close A8 on my phone and move to my tablet, A8 starts then connects to GL server and downloads the last cloud save. Boosters are then still activated as it should be and I can continue. Sometimes you need to connect to G+ so that the latest cloud save is downloaded.
Aha, maybe that's it then. I also have a tablet account and maybe they interfere. So you delete Asphalt data and start fresh and log into G+ and download the cloud save? I will try connecting to G+. Thanks
No, I don't delete the data! If the other device is connected to internet it remarks that it's data is old and automatically downloads the new data. Only sometimes it is not working, then I simply connect to G+ and the download starts.
I see, so you only have one account on both your mobile and tablet? I've been scared connecting my main account to the Internet on both devices at the same time lol, maybe GL will think I'm cheating! But I will try that if you are saying it's safe.
1.22.4 isn't really reasonable... Maybe a high 1.23. Kidding If a cheater isn't caught, he's just making an effort not to be. My guess is they are cheating. A guy has 1.16 in VMAX on my leaderboard...
Hey Juanenrique, what is that Asphalt Nitro video you posted? Is that a new game? Or an update to Asphalt 8? It was mentioned in the G+ Community. EDIT: Ok, it seems to be a new game.
How'd i get the vmax? How do you think man? from the cup of course I barely have half the tokens it would take to buy it otherwise. I never claimed to know in detail about TAS or what platform it's specifically used on(I'm on windows btw). I have heard about players speeding up the game to claim rewards and such which sounded similar to TAS. You can see from my post that i was merely asking whether the leadership jumping is done using TAS. I didn't label welroy as a cheater either(he did admit to deliberate flag changing though),i have seen many of his runs in his channel and know that he is one of the best on windows; i was just stating the fact that he did indeed disappear from a division he won hours before it ended, which didn't make any sort of sense to me.If not by changing the game speed, how else do you switch leaderboards and divisions?
It's probably similar to how players are able to set the game clock to some time in the future to see future cups. Although I don't know how that is going to help switching leaderboards. The only thing I see is likely due to flag changing, it's like having two identities/accounts. There was a game called Asphalt 3D: Nitro Racing, so it might be a remake because they looks similar.
