I managed to edge it in my 1582 biome for the apex cup; would have been extremely hard with a lower ranked car, as the top speed difference is pretty hard to compensate in tracks like barcelona. My username is the same as before...i just updated the game though. you should be able to see me in the crackerjack d class and road masters. if you were asking about the division cup, i'm yet to play that. if everyone is in fact in one huge 5000 division, i might as well wait a day or two.
I had 1.04.018 in a max pro 599xx... Good enough for rank 1663... So all I got was the top 2000 engine cards, but I didn't need a tank to do it. Biome was out of top 100 range! I will hold onto the 599 because I need mid tech (599 takes 8, biome 12, and F50 needs 16)
It's going to take forever for me to get enough tokens to max out the inventory. I can't get into the Top 1000 for the Crackerjack Cup. Best time is 1:05:307...meh. The competitiveness on iOS is just plain bad. Everyone wants tokens to buy premium cars, but none of them is willing to contribute to the Wikia. It's a pain when I have to fight for tokens because no one else with token cars are willing to, you know, actually do something helpful for the community. Then we have people that complain about the Asphalt Wiki being incomplete =.=. I wonder who was it that denied to help out? Argh, this is so infuriating! People at the Wiki are only adding categories and flavor text, but why is none of them updating the information. They can't even photoshop some images to make the pro kit formulas and they have to rely on Fabien for that. I see tons of edits everyday, and most of them are useless. Someone save me from the agony!! My OCD is killing me! The incompletion is hurting my eyes! I guess this happens every time I get involved with a Wiki. By the way, for those that don't know, the admins at the Asphalt Wiki actually blocked Fabien for some time. Fabien's page is filled with hate messages from the admins lol. I'm going to take a break.
My time of 1.04.966 has been kicked down to rank 964... So surely I was right. If I manage to get 1/2 a second off I'd be impressed but it's a little hairy. 1.03.xxx is virtually impossible without some crazy physics single tanked.
@Fabien, I believe credit must be given when credit is due. And your last update really corrected the previous update's bugs, and therefore, reduced Asphalt 8's lag on my device. Thank you. And good job! However, I really think more could be done regarding the game's performance, specially the addition of an option to select custom quality settings (like a PC game, selecting the lighting quality, special effects quality, etc), this way, fine tuning the game to each device. This would only be good to Gameloft: smoothest experience possible -> better user satisfaction -> more money spent. But this is just my opinion. On the opposite spectrum: when will the "metal effects" be added to the Android version? For those having problems (and fears) regarding the new update on Android, I updated without deleting the installed version (this means the new update was installed above the installed version) that way I didn't lose my local data. Again, great job, Gameloft!
I think GL was paid for the "Metal Effects" which could be added to any A6 Device also were just a gimmick, nothing really special. Just to make "Metal" look good in its early days.

Really interesting post RB, certainly on point 2 anyway. I've started to think about the stolen credit card angle a little in the last few months too since a friend of mine had their details stolen and a bunch of stuff purchased using it from South America. Just crime in general too, when I see brabus bragging about dropping 10000 bucks into it I can't help but wonder how many poor buggers him and his brother might have shaken down to get that much disposable income for a phone game. On the flag changing, I didn't really mean that kind of cheating the pro system specifically as it was around long before it, but you're right it does give a greater advantage now with the pro system, although to the best of my knowledge it is one thing GL have actually managed to fix properly in recent updates. I do still believe that on iOS at least that the online pro/token system is very difficult to crack, although I have heard rumours of a hack that involves attacking the GL servers directly and have seen some screenshots of players with hundreds of unopened boxes (this was within 1 month of the winter update) that might back up that theory.
No, S Class is full of cars with fake speeds (only exception is Veneno). You can ask people to send screenshots of their Upgrade/PRO screen if you want the information, or you could check out Hector/Fury LH or other youtubers' Upgrade/PRO videos for new cars. 1:03:5xx single tanked is definitely possible with that route. I noticed Driver R's time with single tank is often .1~.2s slower than Delorean, but faster when he's on ET.I'm screwed for Crackerjack C cup now, sold my i4s because I needed space, my Lotus is stuck at 1420 without i4s. Also getting murdered with those 330 P4s in MP now, here's hoping GL will get some sense and nerf that insane acceleration or else I'll have to part with 5750 tokens soon
I also had no chance for TOP 50 with my configuration 3243 (exactly the same ), but prices are bad. So my decision to use mid techs for F50 was good as I got many cards from last Apex.
I have read somewhere that at least one of the hacks on the market, for iOS, Android and Windows is going online, directly into the GL servers through the setup of proxies.
I want to do a quick thought experiment just out of curiosity. I'm hoping you guys will respond. Imagine that... There is a "Season 10," so to speak. It's got one race available: Versus – Monaco Reverse (no traffic) – 1 Lap – All Cars Your "Versus" opponent will be identical to whichever car you pick for yourself. The credit reward for this race is higher than anything in Season 9 The game automatically adjusts the credit reward based on the car, so... Slower cars (not lower-ranked, but actually slower cars) earn more credits per race than faster cars... ...or however you want to work it out in your own mind. The point is to assume that you average the same credits-per-minute earned regardless of which car you pick. So, you can now grind credits with equal efficiency among all cars – on an open road with no crazy jumps or turns. Here's the catch: Once you select a car, you will not be able to use any other car for this race ever again, Amen. Under these conditions, which car are you taking?
That's a very elaborate way to ask about people's favorite car. But I sure like the idea! Out of the cars I currently own, I'd pick the 12C Spider. Runner-ups: Zonda R and Lucra. (EDIT: Oh hi, fellow McLaren fan! Would you believe I began writing my post before I saw your followup that mentioned the 12C?) I'm not done maxing the F40 yet, but I'm beginning to like that car as well. So I think I'd like your fantasy season even more if I were allowed to switch cars if my new car of choice was released after the last time I made a choice.
