I bought the Corvette C7 as my starter for A class. I believe it got me through season 6. Then I was able to buy the elemento in season 7, if I recall correctly.

All I've bought up til this point is the (I think) Audi R8 e-tron, it's the car other than the tesla that you pick between for one of the season one races. I was trying to save up for the Camaro for my class C car cause it's the highest one I'm close to being able to buy, and cause I like Camaros.

I'm sure if I was better at the game I'd be making more cash, but I was trying to replay some races and getting only 300 credits for 4-5 minute races. I can't deal with that. I know I would make quicker progress if I was a better player, I managed to earn 30 stars to unlock season two but the races toward the end of season 1 are really difficult, at least with my current car.

.1 of a second, not bad at all.:)

@mess, as waks said the corvette is well worth getting and will see you far enough to the Elemento or the F12.

I prefer the physics of Asphalt 8 much, much more. In Asphalt 7 touch controls (steering wheel) were much less polished.

Sure, getting cars in A8 is much more difficult and you have to grind and be careful with the cars you buy, but IMO it's a much better game with the acrobacies you have to make and the physics engine, along with ghost races, etc.

The first time I played, I got to season 8 without buying car packs, and was very happy with the game, but unhappy with the progress and cars I had bought. The second time, I bought D and C car packs IAP and thought much more about which cars to buy/upgrade in the other classes, and I'm much happier with the experience now.

If I had to define the game, I'd say that it's a premium game which gives you more or less according to the money you want to spend. In my case, for 99 cents I got the basic experience (which is a lot of enjoyment, don't misunderstand me), but I was left with a taste of "I want more out of this game". For $8-$9 I got a great experience and I have all the cars I really want out of the ones offered by the game.

I guess the experience depends on what each is expecting and wants to achieve. If you want to buy all the cars in the game without grinding too much, you probably have to buy D, C, B and possibly A car packs. If you want all the cars and upgrades and 100% completion, you're surely going to spend a lot of money/invest a lot of time in the game.

Anyway, for a more in detail explanation of all this, TA published an article several days ago about the IAP in Asphalt 8 and how to get the maximum of the game. I recommend reading it.

That is weird......my galaxy tab 2 runs it perfectly smooth on low settings but it still looks great and my nook HD+ looks and runs simply spectacular on medium-high settings....is your nexus 7 updated to 4.3? That supposedly fixes a lot of the lag on the nexus 7

Thanks, I have just unlocked season 6, need a new class D to finish off a couple from season 5, and a S and A class now. Gonna get the first S Lamborghini.

Is Shelby GT500 worth it? I have 80k and rather early in the season 5.

I hope no one is on the fence about this game...
This is easily Gameloft's best entry to the series and probably the best racer on the app/android store.

This game reeks of quality and the physics engine is just superb.
The way the game plays and feels really has blown me away.

I feel like I'm playing a PS3 game on my telephone...

Hats off Gameloft, very well done!

Guys, should I just upgrade my GTR, or get the Ferrari 458? I find it hard to win the B class matches in season 7/8 with the GTR :/

I bought this early on and it has served me well. I almost have it fully upgraded now. Good for any class B race once you have it's rank up

    Look out your window.
For the price of a 458 you can probably fully upgrade the GTR, making it MUCH better than the 458 stock

GTR is still like a million times better. I have it 1/4 fully upgraded and it's a beast. 2.20 acceleration mmm Wrecking cars for days.

I'm sitting at A and W, enjoying multiplayer - until their stupid wifi kicks me off the internet. So if anyone is playing against Mr. Grizzly, that is why I keep "disconecting."

My point was, if you have a GT-R, which I like better than the 458, an upgraded GT-R is obviously much, much better than a 458 stock or with a few upgrades.

And you can almost fully upgrade it for the price of the 458 and the initial upgrades you'd innevitably buy for it. Any more money you need to actually fully upgrade it can be obtained through a few races and therefore isn't worth mentioning.

I currently have saved up around $60,000 and I have just started season 5. My cars are:
    D - Dodge Dart, Audi R8, Tesla Model S, Scion FR-S
C - Mercedes SLS, Lamborghini Urus
    B - Citroen Survolt
    A - none
    S - none

I have enough saved for the corvette which I have read in this thread is really good but I don't know if I should get that or another d or c class car because I can't win any race with my scion fr-s but I don't know if I should just upgrade it or if there is a d class car I should get instead? Also it is getting harder to win in my urus ( it is soooooo awesome though!) So should I just upgrade it more or should I get a new c class car? My Citroen is working fine so far but does it get a lot harder to win with it later? Is there a better b class car I should invest in? The corvette is so beautiful and I really want it but I don't want to blow all my money on it to get stuck later and have to grind in order to get a car from another class. I can afford the veneno but I don't think I will need that yet. Any advice on what to do?

Wow, multiplayer is definitely a great way to earn money for upgrades. Better than just replaying races over and over (at least where I am in the game so far). Got the Cadillac ATS but wasn't really playing it until today with multiplayer. Now I have several of the attributes upgraded a couple of levels. This car is better than the Audi I was maxing out until now.

I only get 600 a race in first place on multiplayer. For one race on season 8 I can get almost 2k for replaying a race with first place
