    Thanks :D
Yes, P4 is really easy to upgrade; it needs 12 mid tech, 8 v12 and 8 advanced tech to PRO. Of course you can spent only 4 v12 and 4 adv tech to get a 5,4,5,4 config, that I'm pretty sure will be still really competitive :)

    Thanks!
Yes, I have made 49.6xx in Alps with my current P4 (4,2,4,4). With my Rivale 4,4,5,4 I did 50.9xx, that is a big difference

    K1 v Enzo

After months of saving, I finally have 3M credits. Should I go for the K1 or wait a bit more to get the Enzo? My current top S class is a max'd Lykan, so either will (eventually) be a big upgrade -- just will take a bunch of time to earn enough credits to max either.

(I wish I could return a few cars -- I think I've used the Agera less than 10 times; and shouldn't have been enticed by the Tuatara and Venom sales).

I can't answer the question for you, but here are two things that might be worth considering:

    1. Right after the Enzo came out, someone (Hector, perhaps?) mentioned that its performance, as compared to the One:1, depended on whether you preferred racing single- vs. extra-tanked. They said the One:1 was the better single tank car, while the Enzo was the better extra tank car. (That was great news for me, because it meant I wouldn't have to buy the Enzo.)

    2. The Enzo uses the same engine cards that are used by the F50 and the 330P4, both of which are undisputed class kings at the moment. Personally, I've used up most of my V12 cards on the F50, and if I could afford the 330P4, that would be my next priority. So even if I were interested in extra tank Enzo races, I wouldn't have any V12 cards to spare for that car in the foreseeable future.

(EDIT: The forum's new WYSIWYG editor is terrible. Why the extra line breaks?)

See it exactly similar. I have to use my v12 in P4 and F50. In addition Enzo needs slightly more cards than K1 to pro. For me is anyhow no discussion, as I have K1 already at pro level 1,1,2,3 after 3 or 4 month! No need to start again from the scratch.

K1, there are more important cars (F50 and 330 P4) that need V12 cards :D

    I haven't recieved update

It has been over 16 hours since I saw there was the new update for Android OS on the A8 community, and I have yet to receive update 1.8.1 on android for my device. Any suggestions on what I should do? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Can gameloft games get any more pay to win than this? Pretty much the most pay to win freemium I've ever seen in the appstore
    - Good luck tryng to win ANY event without completely maxing out the best car + buying every single boost. Most people in the ladders are hackers or completely maxed out IAP mules. Same applies to some single player races in later chapters
    - Trying to destroy cars in events end up wrecking my own car, wtf? I used nitro then rammed against an AI car from behind, my own car got wrecked... Does gameloft use physics that actually make sense or is this just another cheap attempt to prevent you from winning?
    - Good luck trying to beat the AI cars in time attacks. First of all they're indestructible (refer to previous point), second of all you start at last place, third of all they're faster than you, and fourth of all they never crash or even hit the walls
    - 10 tokens for wining an event... Lmao. And this is the only way to get tokens. So you get a max of 10 tokens a day, IF you win an event. How many tokens does ONE IAP car cost? You're looking at 2000-7000. So it takes 200-700 days of nonstop playing to unlock ONE car. There are 15 IAP cars. Yes if you want to unlock them all, you're looking at about SEVERAL DECADES of nonstop playing. Lolol

You're not the only one mate. Still no sign of the update for me.

So they did release it after all cars got their events. Guess I can be a dev after all :p

Play on TLEs. That, and the (seemingly limited) videos for tokens. I'm just participating on TLEs and I have over 1000 tokens right now, despite my late start and skill + car disadvantage. If you're really skilled, use your double tanks on new cars' events. You might not get the car, but you can possibly get a lot of tokens that way, since everyone starts evenly and cannot upgrade the car. Events with rented existing cars also work.

While I can't deny the pay2win aspect of this game, there are a few things I have to comment about your arguments:
1st point: I have to agree: you have to upgrade the best car in order to win big on events. But skill is also involved in this as well.
2nd point: You kinda have to practice in order to get knockdowns right. Never wreck AI cars from the back, slows you down. Also if said AI car wrecked first, it can count as an obstacle and possibly knock you out (I have seen this multiple times). However, this not a matter of boosts or best cars, it's a matter of game knowledge.
3rd point: This is a matter of skill. There were events where my car was 100 rank points under the requirement and I still won those. Granted, I did struggle a bit, but not that much.
Final point: Events that let you choose the car aren't that worth it IMO. Like I said, rental cars or new cars' events are the best for token farming. And if you really have trouble with those, boosted and all, then sorry to be that direct with you, but you really have to brush up your skills.

Every little bit counts, at least in my opinion. I played those TLEs with severely under-tuned cars then and now for the 10 tokens or 2-3K credits given out for finishing the event. The TLEs for new cars always took precedence, of course.

Purchased the Volkswagen W12... I've only got 2 W12 cards. And then the grinding will start afresh to get it and the other cars maxed. At least I've put some more music on my phone now, so I'm not limited to the handful of songs that play repeatedly on the Dubai tracks.

Not Asphalt 8 related, but Fabien, if you're reading this, could you try getting in touch with the people in charge of Asphalt 7's events to make all the car-unlocking special events available to everyone? It's odd that they can change the weekly Asphalt Academy event but not make more of those available...

Fabien, chinese players from teams KB, Open, Summer, Return and Sky got the Ferrari 330 P4 despite they were removed from the top 30 Cup last week. I found some of them the last weekend on multiplayer.
How is that possible? looks like there is a vulnerability or a bug in the server when this send the rewards after Cups end.

After almost 10 months since the 1.4.0 update which introduced the fuel system and the extra tank when chinese players started cloning accounts, the dev team still can't deal with these cheaters.
When will be the day that the Gameloft policy against multiple account cheaters change? what is the product manager of Asphalt 8 thinking? or the lead developer of Asphalt 8? (Antoine C ?)

Asphalt 8 is on the 2nd year of development and looks like somethings will never change! how hard is to understand multiple accounts will always have advantage over the rest?!
They play and play and play the Cups until find the fastest route, meanwhile legit players are waiting for the lovely fuel system or they have to spend tokens to refill, that is something Gameloft can't change, so why not ban them or put all of them on the cheaterboard?
We have talked about this SO MANY times Fabien, I am so sick of this.
The guys that finish on 21th, 31th, 41th, 51th place or below and do not qualify to receive a new car deserves more and have more balls than those chinese cheaters!
Even very low skilled players from teams like Summer lend their accounts to other members of their team to be able to achieve a fast time and receive the car, and the funny thing is they are bragging on forums that they got the car !

Yes, Juan, I've mentioned this issue here several times. Just take a look at the leaderboard several hour after it ends, most of those people with an international flag are multiple account supposed to be removed. Apparently Fabien and the team "know how they made it" and "are working on it".
As the first one who reported the multiple account problem (triggered by Chinesetastes (or KB-xykb)'s Chrysler ME412 robbing, who is stilling playing with TAS), I'm equally frustrated as you. I understand that Asphalt8 have other concerns, and they're probably pretty much satisfied with the current revenue boost.
I really don't know what else we could do.

So many of Gameloft's decisions are laser-focused on monetary success in the present. I understand the importance of striking while the iron is hot, but the degree to which GL does it makes me wonder if the company lacks confidence in itself to sustain long-term success, if that makes sense...

I'm a high school teacher, not a business entrepreneur, but my father IS a very successful multi-business owner just outside of San Antonio, TX, so I have at least a basic understanding of the difference in decision-making between long term and short term endeavors.

Long term endeavors require cultivating trust with customers and heavily rewarding customers for long term loyalty. It's about relationship building.

Nothing about GL's decisions with A8 sends that "long-term focus" message to me. That's a shame, because at its core, A8 is one of the most entertaining games I've ever played.

Sure you need a good car, preferably one that is maxed out, and even decently pro'd. However more than the car, you also need a lot of practice to master all the different tracks.

If your car is wrecked when trying to ram AI cars, it simply means that the speed difference between the AI and you was too great (ie : you're going way too fast). In this case it would be preferable to wreck the AI from the side.

I suppose you're referring to the Season 9 tracks ? You can beat the AI, remember to run your car with full nitro, fill up your tank whenever possible, and always take shortcuts.

With some practice, it's possible from time to time to get the 150-240 token prizes :D. Just remember to get the most useful cars first (like the Dezir).

I'm at 1.03.837 in my 1552 C7... After 6 attempts. 200 tokens guaranteed, is spending it on a tank worth it for the 8 tech cards? IDK if I can get below 1.03 with only 4 1/2 hours left and an empty fuel bar.

I just imagine getting a bunch of early and initial tech >.<

Don't you need to get in the top 25 for all those Tech cards? If so, I don't know if you can get there with a 1552 Vette. Have you looked at the car configurations used by the top dogs in this TLE?

Top 25 gets 2x 5... Top 750 gets 2x 4 tech cards (can be any tech card)

I'm rank 1108 at 1.03.8xx... I could get below 1.03 if I had unlimited attempts, with a double tank it would be a picnic.

Single tank 1593 vette on the leaderboard is at 1.01.826...There's no doubt it's possible

Guys, I need help regarding getting back my progress. I've lost my main phone(windows) with which I've played since early last year, and have 88 cars, all maxed with about 36million credit balance and 1580 stars.
I recently started playing on my brother's windows phone couple of weeks back, has around 6 cars, 54 stars. But its never been logged onto. I need to know if just logging in using my facebook id to this new career will get back my earlier progress, or whether it will overwrite my main account with that of the new account? I'm hoping with the older cloud version on windows I could, but I have no idea how to do that as this is the first time I'm having to rely entirely on the cloud save.
Sorry for the long post, but any help would be great.
