Just an example of what is possible: http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=85035&stc=1&d=1426983723 After doing many runs in my 1700 venom, I desided to try out tuatara, and soon I was down to 1.0xx I think is über cool that a P1 or savage can compete in this race, just awsome Thumbnail is for Quote #1
Nice . Did you do that on Monaco ? Were the S class car drivers any good ? Or did the Felino make the difference against S cars ?
Diamond Cup Hey guys, I felt like the 5000-player division cup is unusually hard this time. My original thoughts are forget top 5, get the top 50 reward and good to go. And this shall be fairly easy, only a few tries are required, as it was always be the case to me for division cup. I enter the division at my regular time but this time this division keeps flooding tough players. In the former 5000-division cups most of the time I see <10 players that names I can recognize as good or legendary player. Btw, definitely not all players with clan title are legendary think but most can be considered to be good if not fake. There are many very good players not in any clan but using the clan criterion alone there are 25 clan tagged players in the top 100. Do you have similar experience or this is just me being unlucky this time? B/c I think this diamond division cup might be a 20k division or something as it looks like so.
I also thought about TOP 5, but made the same experience. Plenty of top players in one division. Maybe we two are just unlucky.
lol, I only try top prize if I am in a good division as it requires extra tank. Another reason for my guess is this time 80+ out of the the top 100 are using extra tanks. While in my former division cups, that's never the case and sometimes you don't even need to use double booster to get into top 50.
On iOS it's not difficult to switch to a new division so the chinese clan guys can keep entering until they find one they like and avoid each other easily. I haven't seen an 'easy' division for months, always at least one top time.
They are so intent on winning every single event huh? Even the Scaglietti Event is impossible to win. Given that the rewards are restricted to the Top 150, the Event has became so competitive to the point that newcomers can never win in it. A maxed Scag is only 1400 and you see tons of people with Pro or near-Pro Scaglietti in the leaderboards already. It sure is nice to be a Top Player and continuously win cards, to the point that they have every card needed to Pro any new car instantly. This is also quite a personal problem with me. With the incidents in Hong Kong (I live near Hong Kong) and the problems we have with the Mainland Chinese, it is really difficult not to dislike them (note that I didn't use the term hate for a reason). Jesus Christ, is there a single place where Chinese people aren't? Kind of irritated given that I have to deal with them on a daily basis (as I am Chinese as well, but I'm not from the Mainland). Having them come over from the border everyday can be quite annoying because they increase traffic by A LOT. They push people aside to get on the bus and once you get on it, you can't even find any seat to sit or space to stand (depending on what time it is). Our rent and apartment costs increased drastically over the years because they keep buying them and selling it back to the locals at outrageous prices. Not to mention they are very loud and obnoxious at times. Even though I don't agree with Hong Kong's extremely aggressive stance against Mainland China, I do find myself disliking them (though I try to respect them as it is not right to generalize and dislike all o them). Also, they are obviously from Mainland China because all the SARs (Macau and Hong Kong) as well as Taiwan uses Traditional Chinese. Argh, why can't they stop making everything so competitive? They rush into Hong Kong and bought all the baby milk powders and compete for educational spots as well, pushing many local kids out of education. Moreover, they come to Macau/Hong Kong specifically to give birth in order to receive local benefits. There are a lot of reasons why the Chinese in Macau isn't as aggressive, but the main one is that we don't have it as bad as Hong Kong. There are just way too many Chinese people and that it is IMPOSSIBLE to not be competitive in their system. The only thing I love about China is Taobao and its relatively cheap products (most of them are not fake products, mind you). Sorry for ranting and bringing political issues here, but it can be really annoying to see them over and over again. It is definitely not Gameloft's fault nor is it anyone's fault. Sigh. Then again, if the Chinese weren't the ones dominating the Events, it'll be people of another country anyway. There is no way that contempt or a feeling of dislike/envy will not be directed at a group of people. Oh well, now that I finished ranting I feel so much better. Not sure if anyone of you are interested in the sentiments behind the actions or dislike against Mainland China by other Chinese people, but here it is. I'll just leave this here since some of you might be interested in understanding the psychological reasons behind it.
Some cups are really strange. Those guys have the most rare cars proed. In principle they damage us in two ways. They cheat for the cards and then they steal us the cards we need urgently although they have already all cars proed. I made place 36 in my division with 1589 Rimac. I will not use mid-techs (I have only 4) and I even have no initial techs left, so cannot make the last not-mid-tech upgrade. I hope I will survive with that position until the event ends.

It was interesting to me. You don't often hear about an insider's point of view like that, and I admire the way you try to look at both sides of the coin.
My division 36th is 54:087, also 1589 Rimac, not you right?
53:823 with a 1589 rimac i'm missing a tire upgrade it's basically all about how little you can drift
It seems like a 500k division, at least for me. I'm with Driver R, Abhinav, Niltinho, ACE, Lewis, Atif, Rashid Hassan, Rev, EliteJohn, GustavoB and others...
I am not using extra tank yet, I am wondering can you improve a whole second with that extra tank? 53:823 with a 1589 rimac i'm missing a tire upgrade it's basically all about how little you can drift
lol I wanted to say that as well, but I was trying to be conservative since I don't like exaggeration. My guess is as the F50 is coming out, GL purposely put an B class event and made it very competitive so that we use those B-class cards and they have more potential revenue from selling pro kits boxes.
really? i used an extra tank to get that time O_O my run was not perfect (my start as really bumpy) although i made a great sharp turn (about 30m turn with 3 sharp short drifts) and my last turn was rather wide still, i'm impressed are you missing a tire upgrade too? because the upgrades you're missing matter the most, tire and drivetrain upgrades improve top speed which makes it easier to get better times than compared with exhaust and suspension that's why the pro rank system isn't perfect Public Enemy's 1711 (2,2,2,2) k1 goes around 536 km/h My 1708 (3,1,3,1) k1 goes around 538-539 km/h Elite Niltinhoo's 1708 (3,0,4,1) goes around 540 km/h
I can say a lot about what you are saying but I'll try to make it short. Unfair, not good; competitive, no problem. Hackers/cheaters I don't like b/c they make the game unfair, other than that I don't "dislike" competitive players especially those who are willing to share and help others. As to you, it seems to me that what you "dislike" is free market, Globalization or simply competition, which is different than hating cheaters. "is there a single place where Chinese people aren't?" Do you mean seeing other people are fine but not (mainland) Chinese people? Why? "because they increase traffic by A LOT." Every global city has to deal with heavy traffic problems - NY, London, Tokyo, etc. your problem is not alone if you consider Hong Kong is among one of those global cities. Bus and apartment stuff - that's what happens when demands overwhelms supply. For big cities, nothing special. Milk powder and education spots stuff- that's how market works. You buy low and sell high and the highest bidder get the product. Only issue is are those activities legal? Otherwise they are not cheaters just good players. "The only thing I love about China is Taobao and its relatively cheap products"-- maybe this low price is due to heavy competition? You buy cheap products from them, did they complain? They think your products are cheap and come to buy, then you dislike them? As far as I know, Hong Kong doesn't produce many real stuff (eg. milk powder) but is considered a global financial hub and a shopping center. Why? Because people come and go and perform financial activities here. If you are enjoying many benefits by acting as a hub, what you are complaining is about the adverse consequence for being a hub. Live with it, improve your competitiveness or maybe find a less competitive place to live?
Thanks for the info. I am aware of that but I upgraded 2-2-2-2 anyway since I don't have enough legendary V8s. 3-1-3-1 costs 10, 2-2-2-2 only 8, next goal is 2-2-3-2.
Sorry if I caused any confusion. I said in my division 36th is 54:087, also 1589 Rimac (but not me). I need to improve a whole second with the help of an extra tank to get into top 50. Btw I am in 1593 not missing any cards but unwilling to use mid-tech cards as everybody else. really? i used an extra tank to get that time O_O my run was not perfect (my start as really bumpy) although i made a great sharp turn (about 30m turn with 3 sharp short drifts) and my last turn was rather wide still, i'm impressed are you missing a tire upgrade too? because the upgrades you're missing matter the most, tire and drivetrain upgrades improve top speed which makes it easier to get better times than compared with exhaust and suspension that's why the pro rank system isn't perfect Public Enemy's 1711 (2,2,2,2) k1 goes around 536 km/h My 1708 (3,1,3,1) k1 goes around 538-539 km/h Elite Niltinhoo's 1708 (3,0,4,1) goes around 540 km/h
I think it's nothing strange about it, guys look what cars are available to use in this event. Gallardo, Maserati MC12, Mercedes CLK GTR, Rimac. I don't own any of this car on my google account. Maserati is premium, Mercedes is very expensive and useless for gameplay, and Rimac is even more expensive and relatively new car which only veterans and best players own and moreover have it maxed and proed some. So the Gallardo is the only car fairly available for the most of players (but still quite expensive for short time players) and still not competitive at all here. So it's just relatively few players who participate in this event, and they all meet in just a few divisions. Simple as that
I'm in Hectors division, at present three places behind, but I have a higher ranked car. Hector, good time with CLK. Moved down in the last 3 hours from 36 to 54 I thought 36, 3 places behind Hector is save. Unbelievable, it really doesn't look like a 5000 division. I can only imagine that the strong limitation on 3 cars (Maserati I don't count), which are even all under the Biome shadow, is the reason. Many simply don't have the car which usually fill the divisions, so that not all pro's are in the same. My main problem is lack of fuel. Too many events this weekend, and I was too busy: Soccer game outwards, basketball game , cinema with my children and I still have to defend my 150 tokens in Scaglietti mpe. Horrible. Soon I have to deceide where to improve: Scaglietti cup from 91 to 75 or Diamond from 54 to 50 (10 cards vs. 150 tokens).
