Well 24 hours later and I'm really disappointed with this update. After the disaster that was sector 8 I really thought GL would make it their number one priority to come up with a solid new map or two. Instead they have just introduced yet more overpriced IAP and a 1.1gb update that doesn't even impact the gameplay at all. Yes some of the decals look pretty cool but most of us are A8 fans because of the gameplay, the aesthetics are not important at all when you are fighting for tenths of a second in cups. As for the new cars, I can't imagine any players have a great desire for more cars at this stage, we have enough to be getting on with after the winter update brought everyone's progress back to near-zero with the pro/token system. I know more than one major IAP junkie and even they still need hundreds of legendary cards before this update. One apparent positive is the removal of the cloud option which allowed multiple account players to claim rewards even after being removed from the leaderboards. This change has also made it slightly more difficult to restore boosters, but there are many ways to do this so it is hardly a success on that front.
What do you mean with removal of the cloud option? Isn't any longer possible to save my data in the cloud. If you have huge progress in the game I want to have some cloud backup to avoid a complete loss. My phone had been stolen some time ago and I lost complete progress from another game, which was really annyoing.
Not decals, the default paint colors options that the K1 have always had, i still don't buy any decals yet. Ipad Air 2, IOS 8.1.2
Not really sure of the details because I only have one account but it appears that there has been some changes made to somehow tie your device to only one account. As far as I can understand it was easy to switch between accounts on one device before the update, but I'm hearing now that there isn't the option to do this anymore. Not sure of the implications in the scenario you describe although I understand your concern, maybe Fabien could give some further details?
I play on my iPad sometimes and my phone sometimes. They are both tied to the same account. I think switching between the two devices should still work. What he is talking about isn't multiple devices, one account; it's multiple accounts, one device.
Hey Fabien, I play on the HTC One M7 and can't select graphics quality to medium/high (only very low and low graphics are selectable) on the latest update which leads to no city havocs (lampposts to knock down to gain nitro) being present anywhere. This puts me in a huge disadvantage on TLEs and multiplayer. On the previous version 1.7.0k city havocs were there even on the lowest of settings. I can believe a flagship from 2013 (1.7Ghz quad core and 2GB of ram) can't run the game. Did the devs discontinued support for the HTC One intentionally? Thanks.
Yes, exactly, as Senate described. I use on both devices the same account. I don't want to use another account on my devices. I use my tablet as backup for my phone beacuse of the risk of data loss, as I wrote already. Hm, I really want to know what's going on before I update, Fabien do you know something about that? Furthermore, has the Dodge problem fixed. Although it's not much in credits for the Dart, it would waste 20 of my free D upgrades, which will be a lot of money if I use them for a top D class car instead. As the new event is only playable with the new version I'm forced to update. So would be great if the problem is fixed rather soon.
And here's the fun part: Even if you considered a separate account, you'd set yourself up for being banned. Gameloft's terms of use state that... And Ryan reiterated that rule on this very thread a few months ago. How does this jibe with this new inability to keep an account in sync across devices? Is Gameloft trying to tell us that we're only allowed to play Asphalt on one device? I have a feeling that Apple wouldn't be happy about any app store app trying to enforce a restriction like that. Can you share your opinion on this, Fabien? Is it time to reword the terms of use, perhaps? Wouldn't it be more reasonable to restrict users to one account per device? (Then again, what is an account in this context? Is it my local "Driver xxxx" profile? Nobody actively registers those, they're created automatically when you launch Asphalt for the first time. Or is it my Game Center account? That's an Apple thing, so Gameloft's terms shouldn't even apply.)
About second acount I know. For me one account is already time-comsuming enough. Here GL is right, only for cheating purposes a second acount makes sense. Anyhow, there is a useful scenario for more than one account on a device. I have a family tablet at home, which was used by me and my daughters to play A8. I installed it on the tablet, but made a different acount for each of us. I think the difference to that what cheaters are doing is that each of us had a separate acount due to the Android multiuser feature on the device. It was not just different A8 acounts in the same user acount. Now everyone of us has it's own tablet, but I still use the family tablet to backup all of your acounts. None of the data is synced from one acount to each other what the multiacount cheater can somehow do. I have 84 cars, and my daughters over 10 and over 20 respectively. Also this sync helped me already. The tablet of my younger daughter died. Samsung repaired it, but it was reseted. After reinstalling A8, I was able to sync her acount back from the tablet acount. This has avoided a lot of tears.
Have to say i really like to have the decals for this reason alone:the most satisfying wins are when some double or tripple boosted wrecked me at the start and i'm able to catch up (unboosted),wreck them literally in the last corner and win the race.I WANT them to know where it came from edit:all my Dodge Dart upgrades are gone here as well (iOS 8.1.3)
Really, not for me/winphone. Havent seen a V8 in weeks, even got 2 forced induction V8, but no V8s ;/
Hi Fabien, the update does not fix the glitch that makes people "reuse" their extra tank with two accounts. Do you want me to PM you about how it works or post it here? Edit: I asked simply because I'm not sure if you (and folks around here) are aware of the method or not.
Some of the decals cost more than cars lol. They also won the world mobile congress thingy or whatever, yet we don't get anything celebratory in return.
I'm always wondering about that two account stuff. Extra tank I even don't find so serious compared to complete charing of cars as this saves much more credits / tokens. I always thought that multi-acounts are forbidden. Can't it be proved?
