99% of the culprits are Chinese, of course. No, they don't contact customer care 50 times a week to change flags; they use unrooted devices that allows them to switch whenever they want to. I've seen the player Sky Richard do it on Twitch not too long ago. In less than 30 seconds, he went from having a Canadian flag to having a French flag.

On the iOS leaderboard for the "exclusive" Canadian Family Day cup, the only non-Chinese flag-changer that I see is Sky David C. (currently in second place with a 1723 pro Lykan), who is from the Netherlands (he streams on Twitch and I've talked to him before, so that's how I know). I could provide you with screenshots, but I'm sure you're able to verify it for yourself. They don't do a good job of disguising their names, anyway; they simply use the same completely Chinese names that they use in worldwide events, or exclusive events for their own country.

There are currently close to 40 non-Canadians populating the top 50 of a leaderboard for what's supposed to be an event exclusive to Canadians. I suppose that Gameloft is truly incapable of stopping cheaters from switching their flags whenever they want to. What a shame. Why should people bother to spend real money on a game when they can't even be guaranteed a fair chance at winning prizes?

If you're not going to bother finding a way to stop these people from cheating, you should at least increase the cap limit for the 200 tokens from top 50 to top 100, to account for the fact that there are going to be many cheaters also participating in the tournament.

Fabien i am not 100% sure but, i think it's possible change country flags without customer care, using the cloud bug to change country 1 time and once you play the exclusive country Cups and you claim rewards you return to your country by restoring progress from a 2nd device, and still keep the option to change country 1 time again for another exclusive country Cup in the future.
Looks like the Dev Team still can't deal with the bug in the cloud after more than 6 months, maybe it's too much work and it's needed to change the game since the core? well i am not 100% sure if it works as i never change flags all the time but probably the cloud does not save your progress if you change flags...just like it happens with the tokens, cards and Pro Kits level of the cars which the cloud save them automatically instead.

    Hi all
I've been lurking around for too long :). Now it's time to post a few messages :D
Well, I was able to do 1:00.820 on San Diego Inv cup, using a corvettte (rank 1524). I only took shortcuts, and did not use the glitch like seen in the vid.

I laughed when I saw people fighting for the W12. I won it in the original cup and have only gotten two W16 cards since. The silly card system makes that car a total boat anchor.

Is it really that hard to write a subrutine checking IP adress with flag setting. Repeated changing should easely give you a red flag.

And to your second comment, well done, as it implies that some can get restricted access to some things :p

I've got 3 rotary engine for my Furai since winter update, and I've been through close to 1000 cards by now, so 0.3% chance, thats just beyond amazingly retarded

Welcome as I have too only recently surfaced myself. I meant to say 58seconds LOL

If the drop rate for w16 cards was higher, the W12 would actually be useful but as it stands, it makes no sense to get that car for TLE use because it's even harder to pro than top S cars.

Hey MA, it's nothing wrong if the Chinese utilize the special specs DeZir, nobody says that you have to max a car if you can. As long as they are using legitimate methods to win a tournament or MP, it doesn't bother me. I think what GL need to deal with the most is hackers, which cause the big unfair, and please ban them all... As to Dezir in MP I think this is what devs would want indeed since they purposely designed a car that is so powerful especially with the extra tank which brings revenue- but again, you need to ban the hackers.

Also I would like to say it would be very nice if devs can add a feature as downgrading a car. (Maybe some hackers can do that ? idk) Why cannot we pay a fee to downgrade cars if we can use credits to upgrade them. This way may allow you to downgrade for MP and then max it for a tournament, but at the cost of some credits. And since this option is open to everybody, everyone has the chance to explore if there is an opportunity and eventually, for example, DeZir will meet more same level DeZir considering its relatively low cost.

IMO, they may as well change TLE's from class based to rank based qualifications. This way people can use their favorite car as long as the minimum rank does not exceed entry. And of course allow downgrading, preferably with a 50% deductible so as to keep entrants from abusing a handful of quickest cars.

It might be a bit premature to talk about this since downgrading is still only a suggestion. But if it is made possible, I think that rank based might not be so good. First I am not sure what do you mean exactly by " minimum rank does not exceed entry" but I understand that there must be some restrictions on rank. And it is possible that I may be forced to adjust my car level to cater that requirement for best result, and it brings unnecessary tuning fees for players.

Cheaters can and do downgrade cars whenever they want to, but they can't remove pro upgrades, which is why some of them don't use 1262 DeZirs in D-class tournaments. That would require them to permanently add rank points to their DeZir, which is something that they don't want to do.

And yes, I suggested to Gameloft that they add a car customization option to the game several months ago, so that I can have a fighting chance against players who possess the ability to customize theirs using iCloud data trickery. They still haven't done that.

Why do people even care about MP rating? It doesn't actually mean anything or benefit you in any way. I could care less if a Twinkie or triple upper beats me.

    Booster prices

I have free boosers since before tokens and was thinking of burning them with my Dezir and was wondering how much extra tanks are now?(my display just shows "free")...and I am assuming nitro starters are 10,000c?

    You are right.

My opinion is that if GL can fight cheaters effectively, good for them. But if they cannot, then I'd say adjust the game in a way that cheaters are less advantageous.

For example, in MP, you can make a mode that everybody has unlimited nitro which hackers can do already. Surely there would be less regular skill required but who knows there might be some other fun fighting each other. And because the racing mode is determined by voting, if ppl don't like it, they don't choose it.

Modifying specs is a possible one and we discussed.

Country migrating could also be another option. For example, you can make all ongoing event, say 5 events in total, known to all players but make restrictions that every one can only participate say 2 or 3 events at any given time. (Some changes that make the country irrelevant or less relevant. I see division cup is one step toward this direction but more can be done for regular daily cups.)

And more than that if this is made possible GL can make junior events that rewards are less favorable, but assuming better players fighting for better rewards, new players or less skilled players may choose to participate and have a better chance to win. Trust me it motivates a new play a lot if they can begin winning rewards from TLE events.

Currently it is basically hopeless for a relatively new player to win any tokens in a global if it isn't made available to a really large audience. but it is made to a bigger audience, GL will reduce the reward.

For example, the ongoing HIGH D-CLASS CUP, top 1250 gets 80 tokens and top 50 gets 2x3 tech cards. You may divide this thing to (or simply add) more levels, say 2 (or 3) events that you can only choose one. One is top 250 gets 150 tokens and the other is 20 tokens made available to top 5000 players. (It depends on how GL want it and they have the big data to analyze.I am hoping GL to give out more tokens:)) Something like CDO tranches:D, each level has its own return and risk ;).

Then top players fight and burn money for top rewards, and less skilled player see that they also have a chance and would be motivated to keep improving skills, they can also burn money fighting rewards achievable to them.

This way cheaters are less advantageous and more players can be happy, hopefully.

I used to stock a lot those 2 hrs n 8 hrs boosters but I have used them all. Be careful how do u spend them if u still have any left, since the new boosters are just 10,000 for Tuning kit 15 mins n 7,500 for starter 10 mins. Extra tank I don't know maybe $2 but I don't buy anyways.

Tbh, you wont need that extra tank unless you drive a map longer and with less refill options then Monaco, which includes most maps. Just stay miles away from Iceland, and you should be mostly good.

And as for 200 tokens, you could earn that in 2-3 days of tle

GL has definitely improved in that respect. But don't forget you'd still need to be at least competitive in TLEs to earn decent prizes seeing how some clan players like to switch countries so often.

I have checked that hypothesis. It doesn’t seem to work. I am reminding the Dev team about this anyway.

That’s a very good suggestion, but I assume that there must be something else to take into consideration, and that is prohibiting the Dev team to do so. Nevertheless I will let the team know.

Their disinterest in Asphalt 8 at this point, perhaps? These flaws have been around since the beginning and were never fixed back then, so why would they get fixed now, 18 months after the game's release?
