Yes, but champion kit box guaranteed you 15 rare/legendary cards...

Of course, but if I hadn't won VMAX, I would think the same... and K1 and VMAX are really close, just PRO upgrade level makes the difference.

    I agree with hector.

I've been thinking about this a lot, since there's really only one way to get Tokens, and some cars are Tokens only. But I also learned a harsh lesson with my Volkswagen W12.

    Here's the thing.

You're not going to be competitive without a PROed car -- moderately to fully PRO. Having the best car for the race, MAXed out but not PROed, means nothing. Think of it this way:

    A) You can buy a K1 and fully PRO it with the cards you bought with Tokens and be competitive
    -or-
    B) You can buy a 9FF which you can't PRO and get beat by PRO'ed K1s

Which option is the better return on your investment?

At this point, there are enough PROed cars in the game that being competitive is going to require PROed cars... which means getting the cards. YMMV if you spend real money, but I don't. What tips the scales is that the token boxes have guaranteed Rare and Legendary cards.

yes that's true, i noticed that too but champion kit gives you 15 rare/legendary

hector, with 9ff you can go single tanked with no problem, it's also like i said, easier to pro, Driver R already has it at 1714, look at Fury LH, he spent money and his k1 is at 1712 or something

The real question is, massive short term gain, but a lost endgame
or a short term loss, and a winning endgame
keep in mind that the point of completing the game is winning all the cars, and cards you can get regularly in events

What you call 'endgame', isn't. That 9FF is going to get outmoded, just like every other car has been.

Maybe for you? There's no reason for me to keep that in mind, because I could care less about owning all of the cars.

asphalt 8 has to stop eventually, so there will be a car that won't get outmoded, but i suppose 9ff won't be so i suppose you're right

huh? ok then, well my goal is to obtain all the cars and get as far as i can with pro'ing them
if that's not your goal, well sorry i was mistaken, what is your goal?

My goal is to win races, mostly in multiplayer. Then again, I had every non IAP car, and had every one MAXed before PRO came out, every star and every achievement. Didn't really mean all that much.

well for me it's just the proud moment knowing you have every single car in the game and not many people in the world have that
well, achievements as in the kind you make up, not the in game ones :p

meh, i suppose my mp fun died out because of me overusing my 1129 survolt and everything got boring

Doesn't champion kit box give out at least 10 (not 15) rare/legendary out of 30 cards on Android or am I missing something?

Yeah, I prefer to complete the game than to win races. Building your fun on top of others' despair isn't a good way to have fun. Also, you get pissed whenever you lose due to always wanting to win without care.

What is the maximum storage by the way? Since I love doing unconventional things, I'm using all my tokens on buying storage instead of anything else. Right now my storage is 300 and I need 115 tokens to get 20 more space. I wonder if the maximum is 999 or if it is infinite.

I got McLaren P1 max upgrade, do I have to get Savage Rivale GTR which is quite expensive ( 3,5m credits to max) or i can spend all of my A-Cards on upgrading P1 now? Is McLaren P1 good enough to let me get in top 100 on Class A Event?

The same question to others Rank. Which is the best car (not token, not premium car) in each Rank that can get into top 100 in Events with max upgrade, single nitro and a few of tuning upgrades?

@Hectorx : I am one of your fans, i saw your races many times on youtube. How much sensitivite do you use? 100% or 50%? I wish i good at racing as 50% of your skill.

Really they are 10 legendary/rare, but if you aren't unlucky you should get more :)

You're right, at least they are 10, but with a bit of luck you can get 15 hehe

It depends of how many extra tanks do you have and how much credits you can spend. Upgrade P1 is cheaper and it is enough competitive in short tracks and offers same performance as Rivale in short tracks.
By the way, best cars are:
    DeZir (D), Felino(C), Biome and Hussarya (B) and K1 and VMAX (S)
In A class there are 4 cars (P1, Rivale, W12 and XTR), but W12 is impossible to make pro because it requires 36 w16 cards

Yes Hector you're right, but you also have to think about which car is easier to handle and imo that's simply P1 because of its nitro duration,of course GTR and W12 are faster

What is fun, is how we all perceive this game, what angles we are looking at it, approaching it.
To me, being a bit add/adhd ish, I can find it hard to keep a good race going over 2 laps of monaco or iceland, even some of the china maps.

When I started mp, and this is the first game I really enjoy "pvp" I was playing my seasons game, in short, I didnt have a clue.
I'll never deliberately go for mp rank for several reasons, but in a race of dog eat dog, and fair play competitivness, the only other fun challenge I find is some of the TLEs.

What I do love about mp is that even a noob can learn, improve, as I have my self. I never go out of my way to dirty tricks, but I do play the game mechanics and car attributes to the best of my ability, and even if that includes knockdowns as a strategic move, of I do it, as others do to me.

And seriously, if some find that offencive, perhaps they should take up pets as a hobby instead :p

Well said. Just find that the MP TLEs are more grind than fun compared to regular MP since it's always the same map…Would be better if they spiced things up a little with random map, I mean the whole point for GL in MP TLE is to get you to spend tokens/money on booster and refills, a little unpredicability will likely result in more competition and fun.

The new TLEs are just to get people to up worthless cars. The Marussia isn't in any collection. Literally, the only reason to up it or waste pro cards on it, are for events like this.

I'm surprised by how many people are falling for it.

Well, as more cards are earned by players day by day, GL has to find a way to let them use it. Otherwise if only the best cars in each tier need to be proed for TLE, one has less incentive to earn more cards other than those rare or legendary.

If ppl are willing to fall for it, so be it. I am not a big fan so I save these cards for later use. I am not saying I support it but I believe more TLE like this would be following since it keeps this cards system running without much extra effort for GL.

Is the Marussia faster than the cadillac? I've been using the caddy with its long nitro and working down to top 100

Now that Sector 8 Reverse is in the MP mix, just to let everyone here know, all the clans are running a tidy glitch route — I found out the hard way, by going from first to second. The first guys I saw using it were the Fury folks and then Summer. I could be mistaken, but it happens exiting the right tunnel. Where you typically come out off the jump and aim to the left and land on the flat ramp, they appear to be either going straight or to the right exiting the tunnel. They were pretty far behind me, so I couldn't see what they did. Just noticed their movement in the secondary screen. I couldn't spend much time on it today, but I'll hopefully figure it out here pretty soon. I'm not so hot at that. Not sure how much time you save, but I'd say at least 10 seconds. And not sure if you come straight off the ramp or ride up to the ceiling near the exit of the tunnel — a la the Tokyo tunnel.
