Lykan vs Tuatara Has anyone Pro'd the Lykan or Tuatara so far? I have them both maxed but can't decide which one I want to Pro. Obviously with the limitations of cards I can't do both. Considering I don't have the venom or the K1 (nor do I plan to grind enough to get them), these are my go-to cars everytime there's an S-Class TLE and I pretty much race multiplayer almost exclusively with the Tuatara. Pro's and Con's of each. Lykan - The maximum rank with Tuning Kit exceeds that of the Tuatara's with Tuning Kit. - Better Nitro duration. * Boring to race. * Haven't won a lot of MP races with it. Tuatara - Personal preference - I like how it drives and am comfortable with it. - Higher rank without boosts. - Tried and trusted in MP. - Better handling. Can take a lot of corners where Lykan has to drift without drifting. For a mid-level, average player like me who isn't great with micro-drifts, this has proven to be invaluable. - Higher Top Speed. - Faster acceleration (I think but I'm not sure). * Sucky nitro duration. From experience in MP, it hasn't actually mattered much. * Wierd imbalance similar to the Biome but not as much. This isn't easily explainable. Overall, Tuatara was expensive as hell to buy (950,000 but I got it at the 50% discount) and upgrade (upwards of 2 million) whereas Lykan was cost efficient. Out of pure personal preference, I'd PRO the Tuatara if all else is equal. But I'm not sure if that's the case. EDIT: I tried Hector's acceleration test in Venice unboosted for the Lykan and Tuatara (I used the partial nitro that comes with unboosted cars to accelerate and it took me ~ 8 seconds to reach the first drift gate). So, I'm not really seeing any difference in acceleration without boosts.
Still an awesome game Hi everyone, lots of GL bashing on here for good reasons. I have 75 cars and 71/71 achievements, that is I've been playing for a while before GL got rediculously greedy. I reckon I had spent close to a $100 on this game by the time the clans and all the new gimmicks took over. Then I started a painful experiment to see if the game could last without spending a dime. Do I miss the excitement of grinding for prizes? hell yeah! But on the bright side I get to race in new cars (if only while the event lasts) and what's more fun than taking out a fully noobed car in MP? I now play 20 mins a day instead of an hour and no resentment from my wallet taking GL up the bum Guess what I'm getting at is that Asphalt still rocks if you let go. PS: if you see the Platypus on your arse move over! Old timer coming through hehe
Well, that wasn't a good use of 4 fuel bars. Only 2 people in a VW W12 cup race and the other one left. Just a bit more than 20 points gained.
This London is getting on my nerves! I know exactly why, but it still should should have been 2 bars, so I haven't been boosting, I've gone at least 15-20 runs, and I STILL have yet to run a perfect lap. It's ridiculous, the cars are almost impossible to pass without getting tailed into a corner. You MUST use a nitro starter or bust...
Just had a couple perfect runs by holding right... Still just a hair over 60 sec, 6 seconds from top hundred. If I boost I don't see why not As for tuatara vs lykan... I don't own a SSC but I've always been neck and neck with them and beat by a smidgen on longer tracks like Barcelona. I would take acceleration tests loosely because of human error.
Ryan and Fabien do whatever they can to get us to spend as much as possible on this game, thats their only job PEriod. If not, the game would actually improve, as most flaws, hacks, and cheaters are thouroghly documented here. Those 2 = GL = money talks, everything else, fück that!!! How can you even come close to say"its just a game, when thousands of us are experiencing it as moslty fun entertainment, either its for hours or just a few min a day. My life is certainly not just a game, no more then life it self is a game, and as such, who cares if IS is raping middle east, fukishima blowing up, flodding etc, its just a game, a game of life. Please, do not underestimate individual entertainment in such a gross way. See if you can play on lower quality settings. Most higher settings are just in the way anyhow Actually, with single player games giving 50h of playtime at the most completeing the game,usually at a price of 50-80$. I'd happyly pay 200$ to have premium access to ALL of A8. To bad thei're to dumb to understand that. And yeah iAP has gone wayyyyy passed over the top, but they're dumb. To the both of you. I've got most of what I need to have a fullfilling game, without paying another cent, and why shoudl I, another cent would just require ander 50 bucks, so NO WAY NO MORE. And as GL is owned by ubi soft, I've put my own ban on that corp aswell. Wont even consider any title marked GL/Ubisoft, EVER

Well, I stuck with it, after remembering MP is what I love, and TLEs and MP ranking* aren't what I actually enjoy. ...good thing, too, I'm 26 on the VW W12 leaderboard now. Not sure if I'll be able to hold on since I don't use the tuning kit or double tank, but, we'll see. Speaking of the tuning kit, anyone else notice that ever since the Winter Update, it's darn near impossible to get a knockdown on a tuner kit car when you don't have one? Killing me on the W12 races. Also, Fdvj NEMISIS, you mentioned quitting if it's not a challenge? Since I just started over a month ago and need the bling, what I often do is take the long route on tracks to even it up. Plus, huge disrespect factor when you win * remembered this when i hit my 1900 wall, where everyone else at that rank and above is triple boosting and I run au naturale.
Fuel Bars need to go away for everything except MPTLE's. I have a strong feeling that the overwhelming majority of "refuels" are purchased for use in MPTLE's anyway. If I'm right, then GL would lose little-to-no profits by doing this. The absolute best TLE system (for both players and GL) would be to remove the credits awarded at the end of a TLE race and allow players to attempt the race as many times as their little hearts desire. With that system, newer players wouldn't be able to grind TLE's for credits, experienced players would actually be using more of their credits on Tuning Kits and Nitro Boosters, and – because players would actually get full use out of them – Double Tank purchases might increase noticeably. But hey, who am I kidding? Nobody at GL is seriously listening to this, lol. __________________________________________________
I like this suggestion, where it benefits both parties. The only problem is that, by playing endlessly without fuel bars, you have unlimited attempts. Fuel is there for players to be able to make the most out of the cups, and of course to make it more competitive and intense. But I like the idea where no credits are awarded at the end of a TLE, so players can spend them on TK & NS (& maybe even buy 2x tank, who knows), thereby benefiting everybody. But you're right, nobody from GL bothers to thoroughly read this thread which lists pretty much all of the game's issues and what customers like/dislike. They're too busy deciding the prices for the next cars they put on sale, to exploit newbies even more. Such a sad team of developers... smh
This Game seems to be getting to you, you need to chill out as well, if it makes you so stressed out then maybe take up something else like Sudoko or something like that. If you bothered to read through that red mist in front of your eyed you would see that we are actually agreeing on most stuff. Whatever.
First: Are you a GL rep Nemesis? Is it really that bad. I certainly hope today is somewhat of an exception. Tbh, I should't be be social at all today, and not online with its limitations on human interaction. But really, atm I'd just wanna kick down GLs doors and see if any humans worked there at all, and if so, ask em wtf is going on. I would, but I'm afraid they're so much gansters they've prob got more guns in there then the police (Irony Warning!! )

I've posted this over at GL's forum, but most of the users there are clueless noobs, so it might have a greater effect here. Fury_TC, currently 5th worldwide in the MP rankings and a good client for Gameloft (he's spent a few hundred dollars on this game up until now), got absolutely robbed during the recent 9FF multi-player event. He practically didn't sleep for 3 days to grind the event and also bought a large token pack so he could refill his fuel bar many times, but in the end, Gameloft decides to steal the car from him. Now, the reason he is in this predicament to begin with is due to a "transaction error" bug that showed up in the hectic final hour of this tournament. The top 35 or so players were refilling their fuel bars non-stop and racing every minute. TC was unable to buy extra tokens because of this bug (it's happened to a few other players), and thus had to sit back in horror and watch his ranking fall every 2 minutes. But he finished tied for 30th place with the player "godario" at 4551 points. So, so close. The top 30 were promised to get the car, right? Instead: He has contacted Gameloft several times since this theft (there's no other way to call it), but they have yet to give him a satisfactory explanation as to why he hasn't received his 9FF yet. He had the same amount of points as "godario," but "godario" got a 12,000-token car, and TC did not. Fabien and Ryan, I know you read this thread about once a month. Do something!
I already knew Gameloft was a lousy, greedy company, but I didn't know that the people who worked for it were fraudsters and thieves. Criminals, basically.
Mow 10 lawns at $10 a lawn and 30min each = $100 for 5 hours outside and lots of sleep = 9FF and a lollipop! Still not worth it. Do it for 3 days? Why? Still a shame they robbed him but we should all know better by now.
